(clapping) You're listening to One Minute Podcast Tips. I'm your host, Danny Brown. And each episode brings you snack-sized tips to be a better podcaster. And if you enjoy the show, you can now support with a one-off donation at oneminutepodcasttips.com/support. And now, this week's episode. When it comes to podcast cover art, there's a set design template you have to work to.
So, it's gotta be a square image, a minimum 1400 pixels by 1400 pixels, and a maximum 3000 by 3000 pixels, a JPEG or a PNG image, and less than 512 kilobytes in size. These are the specs that Apple Podcasts require, and pretty much every podcast app pulls from that design. If you know Photoshop or something similar, you can use that. If you don't know Photoshop, you could go to something like Fiverr, and use a freelancer to create cover art for you.
However, there's another option that's really cool, and that's Canva. Canva's an online design platform, and they've got a dedicated podcast template section with almost 1,400 templates to choose from. There's photos, images, logos, and more. And the great thing with the Canva templates is you can either use the default ones that they provide you or use them as a starting point and then add your own photographs, logos, color, design, et cetera.
It's a really simple way to get great looking cover art, and it's free. You can find out more at oneminutepodcasttips.com/canva and make your artwork really stand out. Until the next time, happy podcasting. (upbeat music) Thanks for listening. If you enjoy One Minute Podcast tips, be sure to share with your friends and other podcasters so they can enjoy it too.
