As an Airbnb host for 5+ years, I've got my fair share of crazy stories. However, it also made SO much more possible, including funding family travel, keeping us financially afloat while my husband was in grad school, and allowing me to stay home to raise our kids. While many short-term rentals are managed by property managers, Airbnb is unique in that anyone can rent out any space they own (subject to local laws). That means it's a totally viable option for moms, as long as they're willing and able to put in the work and deal with some discomfort.
