Episode description

Olivia Volpe played field hockey at Sacred Heart University from 2014-2016 and now is a Power Yoga instructor.  She talks about growing up in Metuchen, New Jersey, how she got into field hockey, playing club, and her outstanding career at Metuchen High School where she was an All-State player.  She describes the recruiting process, why she chose Sacred Heart, the transition from high school to Division I field hockey, and scoring the game-winning goal in her second career game.  Olivia then discusses going through a hard time her Junior season where she was experiencing anxiety and depression, and decided it was in her best interest to transfer back home to Montclair State and stop playing field hockey.  She explains how she got involved in yoga during this time, how it helped her anxiety go away, what Power Yoga is, and how she created her own business "Liv Through Movement".
