Episode description

Mike Auriemma played basketball at St. Joseph's University from 2008-2010 and Assumption College from 2010-2012. He talks about growing up in Manchester, Connecticut, being the son of famous women's basketball coach Geno Auriemma, being at every UConn practice as a kid, and Geno coaching his AAU team growing up.  Mike also talks about knowing Aaron Hernandez and why he chooses to remember the Aaron he knew when they were kids, his great high school career at East Catholic, deciding to do a year of prep school at the Hun School, why he chose St. Joe's, why he ultimately decided to transfer to Assumption College, and some of the injuries he faced.  He discusses the great respect he has for women's basketball, his friendship with many UConn players, including Sue Bird, Diana Taurasi, and Caroline Doty, and the family environment at the Final Four.
