Episode description

Michael Burke is Bridget's father, and he played baseball at Villanova University from 1972-1974.  He talks about growing up in Maywood, New Jersey, as the middle of 9 children, how he got into baseball, and being so into it from a young age.  Michael discusses his 3 sport career at St. Joseph Regional High School, his recruiting process to Villanova, not being on Villanova's Varsity team his Freshman year, but having a great 3 year career after that, and still being friends with his teammates today.  Michael explains why he moved to Florida to attend Graduate School at Florida Atlantic University and it being the best decision of his life, because he met his wife there.  He then talks about moving back to New Jersey, continuing to play baseball in summer leagues,  his favorite experience playing baseball for the Maywood Colts where he played with his younger brother Matthew, and playing into thirties before retiring and then coaching his 3 kids in sports.  Michael describes his support for Villanova University, his love for the sports programs, especially both the Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, and a special 4 days in March of 2018 where he bonded with his sons over the Villanova Men's National Championship and his daughter with the Notre Dame Women's National Championship.  He intends to be at the next Final Fours in person!
