Matt Kaplon was a 4-year starting catcher for Drew University from 2010-2014 who came out as gay in 2014 in an Outsports.com article. He discusses his love for the game of baseball, how he ended up at Drew, the internal struggle he had with being a gay athlete, becoming friends with Derek Schell, coming out to his family, friends, and teammates, the importance of the Outsports community, his role in Jeff Sheng's 2015 book "Fearless", and what he is up to this month to celebrate Pride.
