Episode description

Kayla Deitz played lacrosse at San Diego State University from 2014-2017.  She talks about growing up in Simsbury, Connecticut, coming from an athletic family, how she got into lacrosse, and what it was like when her father Terry went on the show "Survivor".  She also talks about her great career at Simsbury High School, her club lacrosse career, the recruiting process, and why she picked San Diego State.  Kayla details her career at SDSU, the amazing team chemistry, being able to turn around a losing record into a winning record her senior year, and being a team captain.  Kayla also describes a hard time in 2015 when her brother Danny needed a heart transplant, the family decision to pull her father from his second season of "Survivor", how the SDSU team was there for her family, and why going through that is part of reason she decided to become a nurse.
