Episode description

Kassidy Shumway played soccer at Brigham Young University from 2007-2010.  She talks about growing up in Bountiful, Utah, being the oldest of 5 children, how she got into soccer, and her excellent career at Woods Cross High School where she played soccer, basketball, and was the Valedictorian.  Kassidy then describes her recruiting process, why she chose BYU, and being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She discusses being able to play right away as a freshman, being a top team that always made the NCAA Tournament, the great success they had in the Mountain West Conference, meeting her husband through watching a Utah Jazz game, and what it was like being married in college.  Kassidy explains her feelings on an incident her junior year in 2009 where a player on New Mexico pulled her down by her ponytail, the fame she received as the clip made its rounds on TV and the internet, and whether she ever received an apology.  She talks about what she's been up to recently, being a mother, and her continued support for BYU.
