Episode description

Emily Costanzo played soccer at the University of Connecticut from 2015-2018 and was a captain of the 2018 team.  She talks about growing up in Ellington, Connecticut, being a lifelong UConn fan, getting into soccer with her twin brother, James, and her outstanding career at Ellington High School where she was 2-time All State, and played multiple other sports as well.  Emily explains her interesting recruiting process, why she chose UConn, the transition from high school to college soccer, and why her jersey number 6 was so special to her and her family.  She discusses her 4 year career where the Huskies made the NCAA Tournament twice and won the American Athletic Conference Title, embracing her role on the team, being a leader even though she didn't play 90 minutes a night, and how she wouldn't change her career.  She then talks about attending Quinnipiac Law School, interning with the Ole Miss Athletic Department, and having another year before she graduates and becomes a lawyer.
