Episode description

On this very View Askewniverse episode of One and Done TV, Ian and Silent John return to the Quick Stop to review the ABC adult animated comedy from 2000 - Clerks: The Animated Series! Kevin Smith’s 1994 black and white comedy cult classic Clerks gets a cartoon makeover, with characters Dante, Randall, Jay, and Silent Bob finding themselves in wacky situations stuffed with self-referential humor. Ian taunts John with his recent theatrical viewing of 2001: A Space Odyssey. John appreciates the Savage Steve Holland ski-jerk film Better Off Dead. John and Ian remember renting this show from Blockbuster, but aren’t sure whose couch they laughed themselves stupid on! With this week’s theatrical release of Clerks III (aka Clerks 3), the hosts revisit some of Kevin Smith’s other work (Dogma, Tusk, and the like) and discuss the uncanny similarities between The Sandlot, Stand By Me, and Animal House! If you plan to cancel, let us know. Thanks.
