On The Wire - episode 18

The latest edition of On The Wire comes after the opening night of the Ladbrokes.com World Championship from Alexandra Palace. Defending champion Phil Taylor began his search for a 16th world title with a scrappy win over Gary Mawson and he kicks off the show talking to Rod Studd. The first shock of the tournament came when Mark Hylton dumped Steve Beaton out of the PDC's showpiece event and both men spoke to Dan Dawson after their match, as did Mark Webster and Paul Nicholson after they sailed through their opening contests. Plus, there's an interview with Aussie star Simon Whitlock as he prepares to begin his title hunt.
