Marie-Josée Houle

This week we have very special guest as we are joined by Canada’s first Federal Housing Advocate, Marie-Josée Houle, as she starts her three-year term in this very critical appointment. She shares with the podcast how the job allows her to request reviews of systemic housing issues, make public recommendations to the federal minister on policy and programs, and to hold the federal government to account on its stated sentiment that adequate housing is a fundamental human right.
