Rich Waltz played college baseball. When it became clear that his career wouldn't go further than that, he decided to try broadcasting. Today, after a stint as the TV voice of the Marlins, Rich does college football and basketball for CBS Sports Network and calls the MLB Game of the Week package on Youtube as well as the MLB Game of the Month package on Facebook.
