Episode description

It's hard not to compare yourself to the images we are constantly bombarded with from mass media! In this episode, we discuss the ways in which media messaging and marketing can normalize unhealthy behaviors in relationships, and distort our body image. It's important for each of us to be critical of the media we consume, consciously and subconsciously. We need to challenge the concept that there is one standard of beauty we need to aspire to. We need to be mindful of the ways in which marketing can prey on, and manufacture insecurities. Your self worth does not come from brands or products!

REMEMBER: "Self respect, self worth and self love, all start with self. Stop looking outside of yourself for your value.”
