Old St. Pat's Podcast

Old St. Patrick's Church, Father Bryan Massingale, Fr. Bryan Massingaleold-st-pats-podcast.simplecast.com
Old St. Patrick's is a Roman Catholic community in Chicago's bustling West Loop neighborhood, founded by Irish Immigrants on Easter morning in 1846. Since then we have grown into a home to a membership of about 4,000 households and innumerable friends. As we grow, we continually redefine what it means to be an urban church. We are committed to remaining open to new visions and possibilities, seeking broader horizons as we journey into our future. We encourage you to encounter the God who loves you, engage in a community that welcomes you, and serve the world that needs you. This podcast aims to welcome all into a Catholic experience like no other. Welcome to the Old St. Pat's Podcast.

Trinity Tales - Fr. Ed Foley 5.26.24

Once upon a time….it’s a phrase that signifies the start of a fairy tale, a story that captures our imagination, creating a world where good ultimately triumphs over evil, and hope is never lost. These stories, at their core, deny the permanence of defeat. In a similar yet profoundly deeper way, Jesus, through His revelation of the Trinity, denied the universal final defeat by resurrection! This denial of final defeat is more than just a comforting tale because even God, in the mystery of the Tr...

Remain in My Love - Fr. Michael Simone 5.5.24

Practicing Resurrection - Fr. Ed Foley 3.31.24

Returning to our regular routines can be tempting and easy since the Easter parties are over, and we're putting away the Easter bunny decorations. But today, we are called to practice resurrection, rather than crucifixion, every day.
