"Calamity Jane" starring Doris Day, Howard Keel, Allyn McLerie and Philip Carey. Day plays the bigger than life character, Calamity Jane, known for being both Rootin and Tootin. Calamity, in order to save the town's theater owner, boasts about bringing the biggest star to the Deadwood, Dakota Territory stage. Mistaken identity leads to friendship, which gives way to rivalry, ultimately leading to love. Winner of the Oscar for best original song for "Secret Love." A 'western' with unexpected glamour!
