In 1935, a couple of Akron gangsters were convicted of the robbery of a mail truck in Warren after a mail pouch and some of the stolen booty was found floating in the nearby Portage Lakes. But after FBI Public Enemy No. 1 Alvin Karpis robbed a train in Garrettsville - the last great train robbery in America - authorities began to think they might have jailed the wrong men. www.ohiomysteries.com
