Joan engages in surprisingly risky behavior when she goes clubbing with Chris. She inadvertently takes ecstasy at a night club. Which scares her friends into thinking Chris is not the guy for her. Meanwhile, Toni hires William as her attorney and tries to monopolize all of his time with trivial matters.
Toni is finally on the way to creating a wonderful realty experience. She has her office set up and all she needs is an assistant. She’s having a hard time keeping one though which is creating even more issues. Alternatively William April Fools pranks Joanne in a very convoluted way.
Toni plans to open her own real estate office, but Joan's efforts to encourage her to be practical wind up putting a damper on her enthusiasm. Meanwhile, Swedelson, disappointed by William's recent performance at work, encourages him to remedy what ails him by going on a "booty call."
This Joan centric episode has her meeting a new beau, but he’s in his early 20s. He works at the law firm’s mailroom and consequently is on the firm’s softball team. That seems to really only be a problem for the people around her. Stan is still hanging around tailing Darnell in order to get back and Maya and he’s still threatening to spill the beans, will he… or won’t he??
