[SPEAKER_00]: a factual data creation facility production. [SPEAKER_00]: Recorded for you live from the mountains of Tennessee, it's the OF&T podcast. [SPEAKER_00]: Now here's your host, the increasingly confused Jim Shaffer. [SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to the OF&T podcast episode 2-99, which I'm calling, done and dusted again, as in Christmas shopping. [SPEAKER_01]: The cash has been sent via Apple Cash, and the presents have been bought via Amazon.

[SPEAKER_01]: Now, eat technology grand, well, sometimes. [SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't much news report on this week, as my news feeds were clogged with stuff concerning Samsung's One UI. [SPEAKER_01]: I guess Samsung is the leader of Android these days. [SPEAKER_01]: While the old vocal cords are warmed up, so let's get started. [SPEAKER_01]: On here. [SPEAKER_01]: Three, two, one. [SPEAKER_01]: tech news.

[SPEAKER_01]: If you're a regular listener to this humble podcast, then you know what I've been wearing an aura smart ring for years now. [SPEAKER_01]: Starting with the second generation of the aura. [SPEAKER_01]: That's why this story from Android Police caught my attention and had me a bit concerned.

[SPEAKER_01]: The article reports that over on the aura rings subreddit reports of the aura overheating to the point where the user is being burned and of rings emitting smoke have been increasing lately. [SPEAKER_01]: Of course the Samsung Galaxy Smart Ring has had at least one well documented instance of this happening. [SPEAKER_01]: These were a problem appeared to have been posted on Reddit starting on or around December 5th, which is in itself strange.

[SPEAKER_01]: The first post was titled Ring started smoking, and included five images which showed an ordering four with burn marks on its outer metal casing. [SPEAKER_01]: The post are also included a photo showing a blister on his finger, allegedly caused by the ring. [SPEAKER_01]: This post started a pile on of sorts, [SPEAKER_01]: with many claiming battery swellings and more.

[SPEAKER_00]: Most without bringing the receipts as a cool kid, say, For once, I think that the kids actually do use that term. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's just further proof that I've got my finger on the pulse. [SPEAKER_01]: The author of the article, where's an aura ring for like myself, and has had the same experience I've had with my aura for.

[SPEAKER_01]: His battery went bad, and upon him chatting with Oris customer service AI bot, at the problem diagnosed and replacement ring shipped to him minutes after the check closed. [SPEAKER_01]: All technology has its faults, but social media can amplify these faults way beyond the level that the fault actually is. [SPEAKER_01]: Most of the complaints provided no evidence to back up their claims, so I believe somewhere either exaggerated or just made up.

[SPEAKER_01]: I wonder if the author is also experiencing an accuracy with physical activity training lately. [SPEAKER_01]: That's the current problem that I'm having with my or a ring. [SPEAKER_01]: The new Samsung Galaxy Z tri-fold is ahead, at least in the company's home country of South Korea. [SPEAKER_01]: According to nine to five Google, the new tri-fold was launched on last Friday morning and quickly sold out in minutes.

[SPEAKER_01]: The article goes on to predict that the same thing will happen when the phone is launched in the United States early next year. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know about that. [SPEAKER_01]: At $2500, that might be a hard sell to consumers here, especially after the holiday gift giving season. [SPEAKER_01]: We have to also take into consideration that the Android mobile operating system doesn't dominate the U.S. market like it does in the rest of the world.

[SPEAKER_01]: Even though foldable phones have been on the market for years now, I've yet to see an example of this type of phone in the wild. [SPEAKER_01]: Now I'm not out and about as often as I used to be, but even while I was living in New York, I never saw a foldable phone in public. [SPEAKER_01]: I had expected to see the occasional flip-style foldable phone here and there, but have yet to see one in my travels.

[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe when Apple launches its first foldable this situation will change. [SPEAKER_01]: And not to be outdone, Huawei released the second generation of its [SPEAKER_01]: but it's just announced wider availability for the model. [SPEAKER_01]: But we won't be seeing it here in a good old USA. [SPEAKER_01]: But even with the new availability for Europe and other regions, I think your most consumers would opt for the Samsung Galaxy Z tri-fold.

[SPEAKER_01]: The Mate XT's 2s list price is basically the same as the Galaxy Trifold, and it doesn't run Android. [SPEAKER_01]: It runs Huawei's own Harmony OS, which despite Huawei throwing cash at developers, just doesn't have as many apps as Android. [SPEAKER_01]: Huawei's customer service has a horrible reputation, and according to multiple sources, you're going to need that customer service.

[SPEAKER_01]: I couldn't find any reviews of the new Mate XT, but the original XT was plagued with problems, mostly with one or more of its screens breaking. [SPEAKER_01]: If you're considering a tri-fold phone, I'd advise you to go with the Samsung. [SPEAKER_01]: Here's some great news if you plan on buying next year's Apple iPhone Fold. [SPEAKER_01]: According to CNET, the iPhone Fold is posted to send an all-time record for iPhones.

[SPEAKER_00]: Is that because of it being Apple's first foldable iPhone? [SPEAKER_01]: Why no, is because the iPhone fold will become the priceiest iPhone ever? [SPEAKER_01]: All the tick experts are estimating that the new foldable model will start at $2,400. [SPEAKER_01]: And what? [SPEAKER_01]: Wow! [SPEAKER_01]: I don't believe it will cost that amount. [SPEAKER_01]: I feel the tech presses underestimating what Apple will ask.

[SPEAKER_01]: I think this phone will start at a minimum of 2,499 dollars or even higher. [SPEAKER_01]: The price of RAM has doubled lately due to a shortage caused by micron exiting the consumer market. [SPEAKER_01]: And the giant fruit company will use this as an excuse for bumping up the prices. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm glad my lovely wife has decided to wait for a flip-style iPhone. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, when you include tax, we're talking close to $3,000 here.

[SPEAKER_01]: For that price, I could buy a one-terabyte maxed-out Mac Mini, and still have some change left over. [SPEAKER_01]: So when you see a person out in public using an iPhone fold, then you'll know that they're either well-off or in serious debt. [SPEAKER_01]: And if they happen to be well-off, there was called Nouveau Rich. [SPEAKER_01]: You know the kind, they have Prada Handbags, Rolex watches, and Herma accessories. [SPEAKER_01]: Old money can't be bothered with tickets like that.

[SPEAKER_01]: To them, time is more important than money. [SPEAKER_01]: And that's because money isn't a concern of theirs. [SPEAKER_01]: Because of my prior employment, I've inspected very wealthy people on their private jets. [SPEAKER_01]: I observe that they're clothing and luggage is most often custom-made. [SPEAKER_01]: The watch they wear is the same, or it's at the very least a tech-freepe. [SPEAKER_00]: Hey, can you do us all a favor by getting back on track?

[SPEAKER_01]: I apologize, I tend to do that now and again, and we've noticed. [SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, speaking of the iPhone Fold, Market Analyst Outfit IDC predicts the phone to spur strong growth in worldwide foldable smartphone shipments for 2026. [SPEAKER_01]: The IDC also believes that the iPhone Fold will capture 22% of the market. [SPEAKER_01]: and 34% of the market value in its first year of release. [SPEAKER_01]: And that's if and only if Apple meets that $2,400 price point.

[SPEAKER_01]: Because of Apple's entry into the foldable market, IDC forecasts that the whole foldable market will expand by 30%. [SPEAKER_01]: Of course, this remains to be seen. [SPEAKER_01]: Do you think the IDC's forecasts are accurate? [SPEAKER_01]: Bloomberg's Mark German, the present King of Abelikers, but he's losing some of his mojo lately, has predicted that Apple's senior VP of hardware technologies and father of Apple Silicon, Johnny Shroji, I think that's how it's pronounced.

[SPEAKER_01]: is seriously considering leaving the giant fruit company this year. [SPEAKER_01]: He would follow Apple's CEO, Jeff Williams, AI Chief, John John Andrea, Policyhead Lisa Jackson, and General Council Kate Adams, who full announced their retirement.

[SPEAKER_01]: Also the company's UI design head, Alan Dye, was [SPEAKER_01]: In response to German's report, Apple and Mr. Shroji quickly put out a statement denying this, saying that he wasn't going anywhere and would be staying with Apple for the foreseeable future. [SPEAKER_01]: The tech press is latching onto these retirements and poaching and support of the usual Apple is doomed, Mantra, which is a common declaration at certain points of the year.

[SPEAKER_01]: What's overlooked is that those retiring well, they're of the age to do so, and the end of the year is when most people decide to retire. [SPEAKER_01]: I retired at this time of the year, officially December 31, but I had put my paperwork in months before. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure this batch of Apple execs let their intentions to retire be known months before announced get for two reasons.

[SPEAKER_01]: The first was to allow Apple to find replacements for the positions vacated, [SPEAKER_01]: And second, to not cause any panic in the stock market, I'm pretty sure that Apple board members were vise of these retirement's well in advance also. [SPEAKER_01]: It's a slow new cycle for the tech press this time of year, so they're clinging onto anything they can report on. [SPEAKER_01]: But don't worry, Apple will be just fine.

[SPEAKER_01]: An injection of new blood is what the company might need anyway. [SPEAKER_01]: Apple Insider is reporting on a post from Chinese leeker smart Pikachu, but hey, what's in a name? [SPEAKER_01]: Who claims next September's iPhone 18 Pro will have an under the display face ID module? [SPEAKER_01]: Wow! [SPEAKER_01]: This would mean that the 18 Pro and Pro Max will be halfway to an uninterrupted display.

[SPEAKER_01]: When Apple figures out how to mount the front facing camera under the display, we'll have an iPhone with a complete under Interrupted display. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I think Apple most likely has already developed the technology to do this. [SPEAKER_01]: I also think that they'll be saving it for the 20th anniversary iPhone. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, the phone that's supposed to have a display that continues on to all sides of the phone.

[SPEAKER_01]: Then again, even with an under the display hardware, there still might be a need for something like a dynamic island. [SPEAKER_01]: What that might not be a bad thing, you know? [SPEAKER_01]: I kind of like the dynamic island. [SPEAKER_01]: A couple, or maybe it was a few episodes ago, I reported on the demise of Apple Fitness Plus service. [SPEAKER_01]: Not many people are using it, and Apple is most likely losing money on it. [SPEAKER_01]: And we can't have that, can we?

[SPEAKER_01]: Nine to five Mac has an article that runs contrary to that notion. [SPEAKER_01]: According to the article, Apple has announced that Apple Fitness Plus will actually be expanding to more countries this coming week. [SPEAKER_01]: So I guess those Mark German inspired rumors were wrong. [SPEAKER_01]: As of today, the Fitness Plus services available in 21 countries. [SPEAKER_01]: On Monday, December 15th, well, that's tomorrow.

[SPEAKER_01]: Apple Fitness Plus will be available in 27 additional countries, which a pan slated to be added in early 2026. [SPEAKER_00]: It sure doesn't sound like fitness plus is going anywhere soon. [SPEAKER_01]: It sure doesn't, except to more countries. [SPEAKER_01]: Perhaps this is the fitness services last gasped though. [SPEAKER_01]: If Apple can't get enough people to sign up for it within all these newly-headed countries, then maybe Apple will actually discontinue it.

[SPEAKER_01]: You know I wish Apple would just put some money into improving the way Apple fitness plus is now. [SPEAKER_01]: It really does need a good polishing, and they could start with hiring some decent indoor cycling instructors, or they could partner with a hardware manufacturer to create a more Peloton-like experience, just saying. [SPEAKER_01]: The highly anticipated iOS 26.2 update finally arrived Friday afternoon.

[SPEAKER_01]: Apple has changed up the way they release operating system updates, and he not so distant past, like last year, you could expect these types of updates on Tuesday mornings. [SPEAKER_01]: Nowadays they're released sporadically, as if Apple decides on a whim for when they're going to put the updates out to the public. [SPEAKER_01]: The update, or should I say updates, is all Apple Operating System updates were released? [SPEAKER_01]: We're small ones.

[SPEAKER_01]: It took my iPhone iPad Max and TV box just minutes to complete while the watch took about 20 minutes. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, the watch is always the slowest update. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't really notice any difference, but the new feature I'm looking for too, concerns the iOS podcast app. [SPEAKER_01]: Supposedly the podcast Apple Auto Generator Link to a podcast is mentioned on the podcast you're listening to. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to mention a podcast later in this episode.

[SPEAKER_01]: Let's see if a link for the show gets generated. [SPEAKER_01]: I assume the link will be available within these shows transcript. [SPEAKER_01]: One of the podcasting 2.0 standards is called Podroll. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure how it works though, so if Apple podcast app does this automatically, well, it'll be a great feature to have. [SPEAKER_01]: Tekken I'm using. [SPEAKER_01]: Nothing new as far as new tank, but I will have a couple of things to talk about after Christmas.

[SPEAKER_01]: Just for kicks I switch back to the Apple Magic Keyboard for a few days. [SPEAKER_01]: Like I said during the last episode, my modified hunting pick style up typing ticks a hit when using that keyboard. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm fully back in my mechanical keyboard now, as you should be. [SPEAKER_01]: My son just purchased a fancy off-brand mechanical keyboard from Amazon, and I'm gonna [SPEAKER_01]: I'm impressed with it.

[SPEAKER_01]: It features a small LCD panel where you can switch settings and do things like that. [SPEAKER_01]: While it's not being utilized for that purpose, it can be set up to display the time and date. [SPEAKER_01]: You allowed me to check it out in the feeling of the keys which are replaceable. [SPEAKER_01]: Feel more like the 80s and 90s mechanical keyboards I cut my teeth on during my more youthful days.

[SPEAKER_01]: Which were better than the expensive logic tech MX board I'm using now. [SPEAKER_01]: this keyboard cost them less than half the price of my MX keyboard. [SPEAKER_01]: He offered to buy me one as a Christmas gift, but I turned them down. [SPEAKER_01]: That's because though the keyboard is compatible with Apple Max, especially keys are set up for windows, and I rely on those Mac dedicated keys too much during my daily computing.

[SPEAKER_01]: They're even keyboard alternatives for iPad Air and [SPEAKER_01]: The new tech I'll be talking about after Christmas pertains to gifts I'll be giving others. [SPEAKER_01]: I expect just one piece of tech for myself that I can also talk about after the holidays.

[SPEAKER_01]: Entertainment News Last week I brought you the news of streaming king Netflix buying Warner Brothers Studios for the bargain price of $87 billion [SPEAKER_01]: Well, Paramount felt slighted and has announced a hostile takeover bid, which will up that anti-bi-counter offering $108 billion for the studio. [SPEAKER_01]: I know if I were a major shareholder of Warner Brothers stock, while I wouldn't be hostile at all to Paramount's offer.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you could buy a whole lot of audio interfaces with that kind of dough. [SPEAKER_01]: I sure could. [SPEAKER_01]: I have no knowledge or experience of how these things work, so take my opinion for what it's [SPEAKER_01]: Netflix has a track record of screwing IPs up, and appears to be still stuck in that strong woman-lead thing in regards to the company's in-house productions.

[SPEAKER_01]: Disney has learned a hard way that these types of movies in television series don't put butts in theater seats or eyes in front of the television. [SPEAKER_01]: Strong woman-led movies can be done properly. [SPEAKER_01]: Just make it believable. [SPEAKER_01]: Don't try and convince me that a 120-pound woman can take on and soundly beat a room full of 200-pound muscle-laden men.

[SPEAKER_01]: Arman on the other hand has been attempting to buy everything entertainment-related in sight. [SPEAKER_01]: Though Paramount Plus is my favorite streaming service at the moment, I think I'd rather see Netflix on one of brothers. [SPEAKER_01]: Unlike Paramount, Netflix practically invented streaming. [SPEAKER_01]: and like it or not, but it's the future of movies. [SPEAKER_01]: Theaters are hanging on by a thread.

[SPEAKER_01]: As this past false new release results have shown us, every major studio movie that's been released to theaters has been a financial flop. [SPEAKER_01]: Why would I, or anyone but the most die-hard movie fan, want to go watch a film in a theater anyway? [SPEAKER_01]: First, the cost of a trip to the local theater, if you're looking up to have one, [SPEAKER_01]: That's risen to luxury proportions, and that's just for getting in the door.

[SPEAKER_01]: Forget about the cost of drinks and snacks. [SPEAKER_00]: But what about that haunted theater experience? [SPEAKER_01]: That experience is overrated. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, you have a large green and great sound, but you also have your fellow human beings to deal with. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, I forgot about them. [SPEAKER_01]: These days they'll be chatting away both in person or over their phones via video during the movie.

[SPEAKER_01]: If they're not doing that, they'll be texting and or doom scrolling on their phones. [SPEAKER_01]: Who's 1 million nit brightness level screens will be distracting you while you're attempting to watch the movie you've paid so much for. [SPEAKER_01]: With the price of large screened television sets being reasonably affordable, when you [SPEAKER_01]: Now add in a equally affordable sound bar and you can recreate the theater experience on a smaller scale.

[SPEAKER_01]: The only problem I foresee with whoever winds up with one of others is how much the price will be jacked up for subscribing to the streaming service that lands to deal. [SPEAKER_01]: podcast news, rain news has an article which, quote, sounds profitable, as saying that one in six podcasts consumers have tried their handed podcasting themselves, but for every three that do, one stops. [SPEAKER_01]: I'd figured that it would be more like a two-ed or every three would stop.

[SPEAKER_01]: Or do I know? [SPEAKER_01]: I'm just a guy on a fixed income, who's lucky enough to be able to afford numerous audio interfaces, and a couple of decent microphones. [SPEAKER_01]: When people start podcasting, they assume they'll be the next Joe Rogan, and then get discouraged when it doesn't happen overnight. [SPEAKER_00]: Doing a bit of self-projecting, are we? [SPEAKER_01]: Sort of.

[SPEAKER_01]: I started this podcast before COVID hit, which brought with it an explosion of new podcasts. [SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, it takes a while to build up listeners. [SPEAKER_01]: When I started, there was less competition, especially internationally. [SPEAKER_01]: At first I was lucky to have 10 listeners, but as I improved, that reached a zenith of over 1000 for each episode. [SPEAKER_01]: Most of my listeners back then were from Australian India.

[SPEAKER_01]: After the explosion of New Podcasts and the rest of the world catching up, that number has dwindled down into the hundreds. [SPEAKER_01]: I rarely get listeners from Australia and India these days as they now have local podcasts to listen to. [SPEAKER_01]: For a while, most of my audience were from Europe. [SPEAKER_01]: But that too has changed. [SPEAKER_01]: Most of my listeners are now located within the United States.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I do appreciate what audience that I currently have because of the crash and advertising revenue. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm lucky to make 10 bucks per month. [SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not doing this thing for money. [SPEAKER_01]: I just like talking into a microphone and hearing my own voice in my headphones. [SPEAKER_01]: I do try and improve, though, be it in equipment or content. [SPEAKER_01]: I've decided to take a simpler approach to the way I post process episodes of this podcast.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm dialing back on my use of digital plugins, as well as the processing provided by my Roadcaster Duo. [SPEAKER_01]: No longer going to use a maximizer to increase the loudness of my audio, so you might find yourself having to check up the volume a bit while listening to this podcast. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm Esther Myodio files to 14 Loves, which is a loudness measurement standard. [SPEAKER_01]: In comparison, the Mighty BBC masters their audio to 22 Loves.

[SPEAKER_01]: So my audio should be loud enough. [SPEAKER_01]: The reason I was using a maximizer was to compete with the big boys out there, like the Noagenda podcast and other shows. [SPEAKER_01]: One of those podcasts are processed to the same standards of radio broadcasts using professional broadcast equipment. [SPEAKER_00]: which also comes along with that professional broadcast equipment expense. [SPEAKER_01]: You've got that right.

[SPEAKER_01]: Now I might be an audio gear hid, but I don't want to go that far. [SPEAKER_01]: The no agenda podcast doesn't use professional equipment, but manages to get that broadcast sound using consumer equipment. [SPEAKER_01]: I think they use heavy compression and master their audio files to 10 loves. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not really sure how the guys over on the... [SPEAKER_01]: no agent to podcast actually get that sound. [SPEAKER_01]: But I'm not in competition with them anyway.

[SPEAKER_01]: Let me know if you can hear a difference in the audio of this show going forward. [SPEAKER_01]: And if it's better or worse, you'd be doing me a solid. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, my email addresses, ofntpodcast at gmail.com. [SPEAKER_01]: I'd really appreciate your help. [SPEAKER_01]: Producing last week's quadfold episode was akin to having my wisdom teeth pulled. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, but hey, those drugs they gave you were great weren't they? [SPEAKER_01]: Yes they were until they wore off.

[SPEAKER_01]: It felt that way, well minus the drugs, because my computer was displaying the swirling beach ball of death at random times and of varying lengths. [SPEAKER_01]: The swirling beach ball of death occurs on Apple Max when the computer freezes and displays what looks like a rotating beach ball. [SPEAKER_01]: It's problem double the normal episode production time, to my lovely wife and I, Shagrin.

[SPEAKER_01]: This freezing which at first I suspected was a ram issue, seemed only to affect my computer while using the digital audio workstation, Hindenburg. [SPEAKER_01]: In the past, Hindenburg did have a horrible memory leak, which not only used up all of my systems ram, [SPEAKER_01]: But because of Apple's unified memory system, used up the entire terabyte of internal SSD drive space I had. [SPEAKER_01]: This memory leak was quickly patched by the devs.

[SPEAKER_01]: And it burgs original CEO left the company early last year, and I've noticed since his departure, that updates for the app has fallen off. [SPEAKER_01]: Perhaps that memory leak has made its way back into Hindenburg, while at least that's what I thought. [SPEAKER_01]: This made me rethink my use of the software. [SPEAKER_01]: The alternatives I'm considering are Reaper, or Apple's own Logic Pro. [SPEAKER_01]: Reaper is available for a one-time cost of $70.

[SPEAKER_01]: Well, Logic Pro charges a one-time fee of $200. [SPEAKER_00]: So Reaper it is. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, not so fast. [SPEAKER_01]: I've tried Reaper in the past and the app has one heck of a learning curve. [SPEAKER_01]: Learning curve is so steep that I was unable to fully learn it and wound up deleting the app from my system.

[SPEAKER_01]: Logic Pro is learning curve, it's probably just as bad as Reapers, but [SPEAKER_01]: In the past, I've used GarageBand, which is basically a stripped-down version of Logic Pro. [SPEAKER_01]: So, I already have a basic understanding of how Logic Pro would work. [SPEAKER_01]: Hindenburg is a digital audio workspace designed from the ground up for oddcasters and broadcasters. [SPEAKER_01]: And this tailored workflow makes things lot easier.

[SPEAKER_01]: Most if not all other, does were designed from music creation. [SPEAKER_01]: with little to no consideration for a spoken word production. [SPEAKER_01]: Of course, I looked at other possibilities for this freezing problem. [SPEAKER_01]: I used a USB hub along with my Mac mini, so I disconnected it and then reconnected it to my computer. [SPEAKER_01]: I closed that all on a Siri apps and rebooted my computer.

[SPEAKER_01]: The last thing I did was close out tabs I had opened on my Safari browser. [SPEAKER_01]: During my tests during the week using Hindenburg, I hadn't been able to replicate the freezing problem until Thursday. [SPEAKER_01]: On that day, the issue came back with a vengeance, and had spread to appearing while using all other applications on my system. [SPEAKER_01]: This made me think of what had recently changed since before this problem reared its ugly hand.

[SPEAKER_01]: The only thing that's changed was the addition of the Roadcaster Duo. [SPEAKER_01]: The first thing I did was switch USB slots and that didn't work. [SPEAKER_01]: Then I disconnected the Duo from my Mac. [SPEAKER_01]: Still no joy. [SPEAKER_01]: I figured that the problem may be the computer itself or perhaps the Road Software. [SPEAKER_01]: I really didn't want it to be a problem with my Mac Mini.

[SPEAKER_01]: The computer is only two years old and I, one of the Giddly's five years out of it. [SPEAKER_01]: I deleted the road software from my computer and Bingo, problem solved. [SPEAKER_00]: Wow, I bet you felt proud of yourself. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I did, but I felt more relief than pride. [SPEAKER_01]: Belief that I wouldn't have to justify buying a new computer to the one home must be a bade.

[SPEAKER_01]: I had already built a new Mac Mini out on the Apple Store app, and she sure wouldn't have liked the price Apple wanted for it. [SPEAKER_01]: No. [SPEAKER_01]: The music is playing in episode 299 of the OF&T podcast. [SPEAKER_01]: As started, it's March into podcasting history. [SPEAKER_01]: Whatever rocks your boat boss. [SPEAKER_01]: It sure is unnaturally cold here today. [SPEAKER_01]: But next week we'll be warming up to autumn-like temperatures.

[SPEAKER_01]: No light Christmas for this kid. [SPEAKER_01]: I hope you enjoyed this episode. [SPEAKER_01]: I enjoyed making it for you. [SPEAKER_01]: Do you like what you heard? [SPEAKER_01]: Well, you can make a donation using the link in the show notes. [SPEAKER_01]: And in all donations, we'll be greatly appreciated. [SPEAKER_01]: You can always reach me at olfntpodcast at gmail.com and that's only if you're so inclined. [SPEAKER_01]: I'd enjoy hearing from you.

[SPEAKER_01]: Remember, [SPEAKER_01]: Don't listen to what they say. [SPEAKER_01]: Watch what they do. [SPEAKER_01]: Unless you want to freeze a death, better get off my lawn. [SPEAKER_01]: Days skeptical. [SPEAKER_01]: Ah, I'm out. [SPEAKER_01]: Phew. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, there you are, guy, with an English accent. [SPEAKER_01]: Say it. [SPEAKER_01]: And that folks is the end of the show.
