[SPEAKER_02]: a factual data creation facility production. [SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to the OFNT podcast, a show mainly about tech and other topics and how their influence effects are host. [SPEAKER_01]: Now here he is, Jim Schaffer. [SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to the OF&T podcast episode 307 which I'm calling, another Super Bowl is amongst us. [SPEAKER_00]: Today's the annual National Football League's finale, also known as Super Bowl Sunday.
[SPEAKER_00]: I call it Super Bowl because Rahuasin, Ardent fan, my friends and I would treat ourselves into a super while watching this spectacle. [SPEAKER_00]: I'll be giving me a looksy today or tonight, and that's about it. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's get this thing started now. [SPEAKER_00]: Tech News The story could have been told within the entertainment section, but I've decided to put it here.
[SPEAKER_00]: Amazon Firesticks are a popular and cheap way to stream content, but one of the main reasons they've gotten so popular is because they were easy to jailbreak and install apps that would allow you to watch content that would normally cost you money for free. [SPEAKER_00]: In other words, ironing content, all new fire TV devices now run on a OS called Vega, which is not a simple fork of the Android operating system, like what older fire TV OS is.
[SPEAKER_00]: Vega OS has built in guards against the installation and running of pirating software. [SPEAKER_00]: As for older Fire TV devices still running on Android, Amazon has added roadblocks that while still allowing these piracy apps to be downloaded, the offending apps are forbidden to run on these old Fire TV devices. [SPEAKER_00]: that were numerous ways to get around these roadblocks, though.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm sure users who pertake in these types of shenanigans have been making good use of them. [SPEAKER_00]: According to an article from Androidauthority.com, Amazon has further cracked down on older fire TV devices by restricting the installation of these appirating apps completely. [SPEAKER_00]: Why is Amazon going so hard? [SPEAKER_00]: Now don't think that Amazon really cares about what content you watch and how you watch it.
[SPEAKER_00]: Amazon has worked about lawsuits from major content providers, and this could affect the company's bottom line. [SPEAKER_00]: And we can't have that, can we? [SPEAKER_00]: There's still ways around these new restrictions, but Amazon is playing the long game here. [SPEAKER_00]: Average consumers who've dipped their toe into pirate and content don't have the technology nor the time to be messing around with renaming APK packages and the like.
[SPEAKER_00]: While those that do have the knowledge, will eventually have to replace the FireTV device itself. [SPEAKER_00]: Nothing lasts forever. [SPEAKER_00]: However, there's a couple of new kids in town, and as the next story will inform you, major inroads into Pirating Content are being made by them. [SPEAKER_00]: This next story appeared on the Verge.com last Wednesday. [SPEAKER_00]: The title of the article is, everyone is stealing TV.
[SPEAKER_00]: The article goes on to describe a vibrant underground economy involving the sale of two particular streaming boxes that will allow you to watch just about all paid content for free. [SPEAKER_00]: These streaming boxes are from China, and so is the software that powers them. [SPEAKER_00]: They are the Superbox, which is currently dominating this underground market, and its main competitor, VC Box.
[SPEAKER_00]: The hardware is based on those generic Android streaming boxes you see for sale in stores like Walmart, and are completely legal to own. [SPEAKER_00]: The software, though, well, that's a very different type of animal. [SPEAKER_00]: These streaming device manufacturers in China have even recruited local distributors to extend sales. [SPEAKER_00]: These streaming boxes sell for between $2 to $300, and I'm sure those local distributors take a nice cut of that amount.
[SPEAKER_02]: Law suits coming in, $321. [SPEAKER_00]: No. [SPEAKER_00]: You see when you first fire up your newly acquired Superbox or VC box, there's no software besides the basic operating system loaded on to it. [SPEAKER_00]: But if you peruse the documentation it comes with these devices, you'll find they provide step-by-step instructions on how to download the app that will let you watch whatever you want gratis.
[SPEAKER_00]: VC box is app is called Heat, while Superbox is app is called Blue TV. [SPEAKER_00]: You won't find these apps on any app store and they won't run on any other device. [SPEAKER_00]: These apps were custom built for these streaming boxes. [SPEAKER_00]: These apps are well done and resemble legit streaming service apps like Fubo and Direct TV. [SPEAKER_00]: How are they getting all this content into these apps?
[SPEAKER_00]: These apps are hosted in China and it's assumed that these companies have managed to break into the streams of the legit content providers and redirect it to their own customers. [SPEAKER_00]: Of course, there are drawbacks when using devices such as these. [SPEAKER_00]: You're putting a device on your network that's in constant communication with Lord only knows who or what.
[SPEAKER_00]: The device is also gathering information about your local network, your viewing habits, and much more. [SPEAKER_00]: So if content companies can't sue the Chinese manufacturers or their local distributors, what are their options? [SPEAKER_00]: Well, [SPEAKER_00]: They can work with local internet service providers and directly sue the consumer. [SPEAKER_00]: Trust me, and time this will begin to happen.
[SPEAKER_00]: What's not being addressed here is the cause of this content pirating, which is the availability of content stored about an increasingly large amount of paid providers. [SPEAKER_00]: Gone are the days when companies would lease out their content to services like Netflix. [SPEAKER_00]: These companies instead started their own paid services. [SPEAKER_00]: Sony being the only major outlier here.
[SPEAKER_00]: They've decided to stick with the old way of doing things, and Lisa content out to whoever is willing to pay for it. [SPEAKER_00]: That's why I was rooting for Netflix to buy one or brothers in HBO. [SPEAKER_00]: Though the subscription prices for Netflix will rise, instead of jumping around different apps for content, I'll have most of what I want to watch all in one place. [SPEAKER_00]: According to 9-5Google.com, Google's Chrome OS will be phased out by 2034.
[SPEAKER_00]: This info was based on court documents from the federal monopoly case brought against the Big G by the federal government. [SPEAKER_00]: The original release date for Chrome OS's replacement Aluminium OS was 2026, but as we all know, this isn't happening. [SPEAKER_00]: According to these court documents, a full release of aluminium OS is an expected to happen until 2028. [SPEAKER_00]: Chrome OS's largest user base comes from the education and commercial enterprise market.
[SPEAKER_00]: With the education market being where Chrome OS is more deeply entrenched, [SPEAKER_00]: All I know is that Apple is keeping an eye on this, waiting for an opportunity to swoop in and fill any void that develops. [SPEAKER_00]: The giant food company has been slowly but surely, stop calling me surely, moving towards the lower tiered markets. [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm sure, would like to take back the educational market they once dominated.
[SPEAKER_00]: And where does this leave Microsoft? [SPEAKER_00]: What consumers rapidly ditching windows for Linux, I predict Microsoft will concentrate on government enterprise and the gaming markets. [SPEAKER_00]: Following what appears to be one of those controlled product leaks at companies like to drop now and then, Google has officially released a leaked video, which teases the new Pixel 10A. [SPEAKER_00]: The A series of pixels are Google's answer to Apple's SE and now E-Series of phones.
[SPEAKER_00]: My son has rocked an A-Series pixel in the past and was quite content with it. [SPEAKER_00]: You get a lot for your money with an A-Series pixel, and there's no denying that. [SPEAKER_00]: If you just want or need a basic phone without all the flashy features, an iPhone E-Series or Pixel A-Series will serve you well. [SPEAKER_00]: In the case of the Pixel A-Series, you do give up a bit of longevity. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's been my experience anyway.
[SPEAKER_00]: 95 google.com took what little info they could from the short 15 second video google released and listed the differences between past iterations of the pixel A series phones and this one. [SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't much. [SPEAKER_00]: The big thing is the new purplish blue color. [SPEAKER_00]: And the second is that the camera island is now completely flush with the body of the phone, which I consider a good thing. [SPEAKER_00]: Others may differ.
[SPEAKER_00]: No specs are pricing were announced, but a release of February 18th was given. [SPEAKER_00]: If I were in the market for a second phone while I'd be given the Pixel 10A a serious look. [SPEAKER_00]: Details about the air quotes, low-cost MacBook and iPhone 17 have started ramping up on tech sites and the intertubes as a whole this past week. [SPEAKER_00]: Probably because the original iPhone 16E is approaching its one-year anniversary.
[SPEAKER_00]: The phone was announced via press release on the 17th of February last year, with the phone being released on February 28th. [SPEAKER_00]: While tech sites like scenet.com are predicting the 17e we replace the displaced notch with a dynamic island. [SPEAKER_00]: MacRumors.com is playing its safe. [SPEAKER_00]: They predict as many high value leakers have been doing, that the new 17E will only get an incremental update from its predecessor.
[SPEAKER_00]: They reckon that the phone will get a bend a 19 chip, and in-house a C1X modem. [SPEAKER_00]: And a N1 Bluetooth chip. [SPEAKER_00]: The article quotes a report from MacValt, which believes that the MagSafe feature will also be included. [SPEAKER_00]: Though the 16E doesn't include MagSafe, if you add a MagSafe case, you can get around that emission. [SPEAKER_00]: The drawback is that you only get basic key wireless charging with speeds up to 7.5 watts.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's good enough for charging your phone overnight. [SPEAKER_00]: According to MacFelt, the charging speeds will be bumped up to 25 watts on the 17E. [SPEAKER_00]: A new base model iPad is expected soon too. [SPEAKER_00]: The only differences believed to be coming to it are a new a 19 chip in 8 gigs of RAM and [SPEAKER_02]: Why more RAM, OIC, so the basic iPad can run Apple Intelligence? [SPEAKER_00]: Aaaaaa! [SPEAKER_00]: Bingo!
[SPEAKER_00]: Apple Insider.com seems to think that the new low-end playing vanilla MacBook will be released real soon now, coming in at $750. [SPEAKER_00]: Of course, everyone knows by now that this laptop will run on an A, A18 Pro chip, which will give it slightly better performance than the base M1 chip, than why not just put [SPEAKER_00]: Well, it must be cheaper to just stick an 18 Pro into it, and maybe Apple has a surplus of the 18 Pro chip.
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, rammer storage amounts were predicted for this device. [SPEAKER_00]: This computer will be a great starter Mac, and many college kids parents will probably be sending their children off to school with one of these models. [SPEAKER_00]: It'll be capable of doing basic computer tasks along with light video editing. [SPEAKER_00]: This MacBook would also be great for business people who travel a lot.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's expected to have a 13-inch display, which is fine for the computer's intended audience, and it would probably sell very well. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, I'd like to see Apple have an event announcing all of these low-end devices all at once. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, why not? [SPEAKER_00]: They could title it low-hanging fruiter, something like that.
[SPEAKER_00]: According to Bloomberg's Mark German, you know, at this point, Mr. German should just change his first name to Bloombergs. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that's how he's referred to as now. [SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, he reports that Apple will be scaling back the big plans a company had for Apple Health. [SPEAKER_00]: If you recall the fruit company that's large, I see that you've changed things up. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I do that every decade or so.
[SPEAKER_00]: Land on, adding yet another subscription service to its pile, called Health [SPEAKER_00]: The big feature with health plus would have been some AI doctor. [SPEAKER_00]: According to German, Apple's chief of services, Eddie Q, has had second thoughts about all this, and is considering changes. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, it sounds like he recently took a meeting with corporate lawyers, who advised him of the consequences of an AI doctor giving a misdiagnosis.
[SPEAKER_00]: I had no interest in health plus and it's AI physician at all. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, I think Samsung got it right with their new health app. [SPEAKER_00]: If the app's AI thought something serious was wrong with you, it would connect you with a real-life doctor. [SPEAKER_00]: It all works like a telemedicine system.
[SPEAKER_00]: Check out I'm using, I made the decision to get rid of the old Mac OS version of Pages for my Mac Mini in favor of the new Universal Pages app, and then something funny happened. [SPEAKER_00]: Remember when I was telling you about the stuttering problem I was having with my computer? [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, no, I don't know. [SPEAKER_00]: I had first blamed the problem on the road app that came with my road duo.
[SPEAKER_00]: I banished that app from my computer and that worked fine for a while, but the problem I was having eventually resurfaced. [SPEAKER_00]: After missing around with different connectors and other software, though much more random the problem persisted, I also had problems with pages itself. [SPEAKER_00]: While attempting to save my work, sometimes I would get the spinning beach ball of death, which made me have to force quit the app, losing everything I was working on.
[SPEAKER_00]: I lost that work because pages would fail to sync my writing to iCloud, which it's supposed to do automatically. [SPEAKER_00]: And every once in a while upon opening pages, I'd have to wait for it to sync with iCloud, if I had started or updated a project using a different device. [SPEAKER_00]: These problems I was having seems to have been resolved since getting rid of the Mac OS version of pages.
[SPEAKER_00]: Seeking documents are almost instantaneous now, just like it was when I was using Microsoft Word in OneDrive. [SPEAKER_00]: Go figure. [SPEAKER_00]: I didn't ever have these problems while using pages of my MacBook Air when I was using it. [SPEAKER_00]: Perhaps I somehow corrupted pages of my Mac Mini? [SPEAKER_00]: I guess I'll never know now that it's gone. [SPEAKER_00]: Whatever the reason, I'm happy that pages I clouded in my Mac Mini are getting along with each other now.
[SPEAKER_00]: In the last episode I told of the overwhelming helis from my email box bombardment of spam I was getting. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's be honest, you were whining about it. [SPEAKER_00]: I disagree with that, but either way, I was upset. [SPEAKER_00]: The mailbox getting hit was my Microsoft Outlook account. [SPEAKER_00]: I was receiving over 50 spam emails a day. [SPEAKER_00]: Some went straight to junk, but the majority wound up in my regular inbox.
[SPEAKER_00]: Two types of spam emails were the culprits. [SPEAKER_00]: The larger's amount was from the payment to calling for a fictitious cloud account. [SPEAKER_00]: The other was for a McAfee anti-virus software renewal for an account I didn't have. [SPEAKER_00]: This all started right after the New Year and worsened by the week. [SPEAKER_00]: It had gotten so bad that I was forced to contact Microsoft directly.
[SPEAKER_00]: The customer service representative told me that the company was aware of this problem and we're doing everything within their power to put it into it. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, to give credit where credit is due, the volume of the spam emails have tapered off to an acceptable volume. [SPEAKER_00]: I've only gotten one of those spam emails here and there, and they seem to be from a different source than the others.
[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, this was some sort of spam campaign, and it appears Microsoft identified the origin and dealt with it. [SPEAKER_00]: My inbox and myself were both thankful. [SPEAKER_00]: Entertainment News. [SPEAKER_00]: I've had the free advertisement supported television app to be loaded onto my Apple TV streaming box for years now. [SPEAKER_00]: I've had it since at least 2016.
[SPEAKER_00]: Back then, I used it sparingly, not because of content, but because I always experienced technical issues while using it. [SPEAKER_00]: The OFNT household watched last year's Super Bowl on 2B. [SPEAKER_00]: That was a big deal at the time. [SPEAKER_00]: It was the first time a streaming service hosted a major sporting event championship, and we had no other way of watching it anyway.
[SPEAKER_00]: I was using Sling TV as my main streaming service back then, and they didn't carry any local affiliates of the major networks. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, Tubi does have commercials, but they are on par with Amazon Prime Video, which has gotten out of control with the number of ads they show these days. [SPEAKER_00]: Every once in a while, I'll fire up Tubi to check it out.
[SPEAKER_00]: Last year, I got into a Tubi original about Gen Z workers in the corporate world, recently I decided to watch Tubi, and that was the show I was looking for, figuring season 2 would be out by now. [SPEAKER_00]: Wrong! [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I couldn't find the new season of it were any trace of the show. [SPEAKER_00]: I did stumple on to a series called Lime Town starring Jessica Beal, which was based on a podcast of the same name.
[SPEAKER_00]: The show came out back in 2019 on Facebook. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, Facebook. [SPEAKER_00]: Years ago I had mentioned on this very podcast that my lovely wife did a lot of her television viewing via her iPad on Facebook. [SPEAKER_00]: Sheddy, number of television series she'd consume that way. [SPEAKER_00]: At the time I had commented that this might be the future of Facebook in television series in general. [SPEAKER_03]: No, dear, that's wrong.
[SPEAKER_00]: I guess Facebook lost interest in doing this just like YouTube before them. [SPEAKER_00]: Perhaps Netflix will pick up the ball and start doing this very thing. [SPEAKER_02]: You do know that Netflix produces their own content these days, and has been doing so for years now. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm talking series based on podcasts here.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'd love seeing the audio drama podcast I listened to, brought to videos, shows like the strata by Mark Hilly who owns and operates beyond a dark productions out of Australia. [SPEAKER_00]: He's a one-man band who writes and produces numerous audio dramas and does it all by his lonesome. [SPEAKER_00]: He of course hires voice actors for the shows he produces, though. [SPEAKER_00]: Who knows, maybe this will happen someday. [SPEAKER_00]: Getting back to Tobi.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, as everything, live channels on demand content and a great selection of movies and TV shows, both new and old. [SPEAKER_00]: It's estimated that 2b has over 100 million active viewers, and it's free to watch. [SPEAKER_00]: The only other fast service that could have come heated with 2b is the now-to-funk crackle channel. [SPEAKER_00]: There were a bunch of original television series I used to watch regularly on that service.
[SPEAKER_00]: Do you have a favorite free streaming service you can recommend to me? [SPEAKER_00]: Last week I talked about the shows I've been watching. [SPEAKER_00]: One of those was HBO's peacemaker. [SPEAKER_00]: I had enjoyed Season 1 and finally got around to the second season. [SPEAKER_00]: I also mentioned that there was a lot of criticism circling around the second season for some reason. [SPEAKER_00]: I really didn't pay attention to what all the criticism was about at the time.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm enjoying Season 2, but when watching Episode 6, we discovered that the bad guys [SPEAKER_00]: Is this what all the hubbub was about? [SPEAKER_00]: I think we can all agree that not these were, and are a bad bunch of hombres. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes! [SPEAKER_00]: And they're a safe choice of bad guys in movies and television series in these easily offended days we live in.
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I think people just go out of their way to criticize and be offended by anything and everything in this modern time we exist in. [SPEAKER_00]: podcast news. [SPEAKER_00]: It's been one week since I've talked about what recently has become my favorite podcast topic. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh no, here we go with the audio interface tool again. [SPEAKER_00]: You guessed it. [SPEAKER_00]: Last Wednesday I dropped the first weekly overflow episode.
[SPEAKER_00]: I used the focus right Volcaster 2 audio interface paired with a road pod mic. [SPEAKER_00]: I use this particular equipment set up for two reasons to test out the Volcaster and to be able to produce the episode quickly. [SPEAKER_00]: When the one who must be obeyed returns, I have the feeling that she wouldn't want me to be spending even more time on podcasts than I already do on Sundays.
[SPEAKER_00]: The fullcaster paired with the pod mic is a portable setup that I can use anywhere within reach of my laptop. [SPEAKER_00]: Before I drop the weekly overflow episode, I tested the Vocaster and I was impressed with it. [SPEAKER_00]: The audio would produce as is not the best, but it's good enough. [SPEAKER_00]: The only thing this cheap small interface lacks is a noise gate.
[SPEAKER_00]: The Volcaster line-up consists of the Volcaster 1 and 2. [SPEAKER_00]: The Volcaster 1 has inputs for one microphone, and for an external device such as a phone for a bringing-in recordable audio. [SPEAKER_00]: It also has one headphone jack, auto-gain setting, and a mic mute button, and for auto-settings for different voice styles. [SPEAKER_00]: The interface provides 70 decibels of gain, which is impressive. [SPEAKER_00]: So it can handle just about any mic you throw at it.
[SPEAKER_00]: Focusor 2 adds inputs for 2 mics, headphones, and besides a line-in for a phone adds Bluetooth connectivity. [SPEAKER_00]: Unfortunately for focus right, this device didn't sell well, and I doubt it will be on the market much longer. [SPEAKER_00]: Starting late last year, Focus Wright has been selling to Volkass's series of blowout prices, and that signal is to me that the companies are trying to get rid of excess stock. [SPEAKER_00]: I bought my Volkass with two for 60 bucks.
[SPEAKER_00]: Wow! [SPEAKER_00]: Which is a fraction of the original retail price. [SPEAKER_00]: The Vokester 1 could be had as far as low as 40 bucks. [SPEAKER_00]: Currently the price of the Vokester is almost doubled. [SPEAKER_00]: That's probably because they are flying off the shelves at the old prices. [SPEAKER_00]: That's how Amazon works. [SPEAKER_00]: The more popular an item is, the more the price rises.
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't ask me to explain why this is, but that's how the game is played. [SPEAKER_00]: If you're patient, the price is should fall back down. [SPEAKER_00]: If you're thinking of buying a Vocaster, I recommend going with the Vocaster 2, for just a little bit more money you get a lot extra. [SPEAKER_00]: You can download the Volkester Hub from Focus Rights website, which will allow you to fiddle around with audio settings and can easily update the firmware.
[SPEAKER_00]: You also get some trial software, like three months free of the Hindenburg's digital audio workstation. [SPEAKER_00]: Again, the prices for the Ocasps have recently gone up, so just be patient and wait for the prices to fall back to what I purchased mine for. [SPEAKER_00]: I wish this was available when I was first starting out in podcasting. [SPEAKER_00]: I could have saved a boatload of money. [SPEAKER_00]: Skin Flint.
[SPEAKER_00]: The only things I would improve on the Vocaster is the addition of a noise gate, which I mentioned before, and that could be done via a firmware update, and a stronger headphone output signal. [SPEAKER_00]: Like my previous Focus Rect2i2, and the SSL2 Mark2, the volume output is low when using headphones, and in the case of the Vocaster, it's both low and distorted. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, and the audio output while acceptable isn't up to the standards of the SSL2 or the Roadcaster Duo.
[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, focus right cut corners by equipping the Vocaster 2 with a cheap digital 2 audio confederters, but having said that, if you want to try your hand at podcasting, pairing a Vocaster with a pod mic right out of the box, you'll get a decent if not good-sounding show. [SPEAKER_00]: The pot might go for under $100 while they've vocaster is even less than that, when the price is dropped. [SPEAKER_00]: Vocaster also comes with a USB cable.
[SPEAKER_00]: A serviceable XLR cable will cost you less than 10 bucks, a mic stand less than 20. [SPEAKER_00]: The only other things you'd need are a pair of wired [SPEAKER_00]: And if you use Windows, Audacity is a .its free, and Spotify will host your show gratis. [SPEAKER_00]: If you happen to use a Mac, GarageBand comes with it at no charge. [SPEAKER_00]: So for a little over $200, you can get started podcasting these days.
[SPEAKER_00]: You can go cheaper, but the setup I just described sounds good and will grow with you. [SPEAKER_00]: A while back, I reported that streaming King Netflix had worked out a deal with Spotify and others to carry video podcasts on their platform. [SPEAKER_00]: Most of the shows from Spotify were from the Ringer Sports Network. [SPEAKER_00]: A few days after this news broke, I received an email from Netflix stating that these podcasts were now available to watch.
[SPEAKER_00]: Unlike previous deals made for podcast, this one doesn't bring exclusivity. [SPEAKER_00]: Being that these shows will still be available outside of Netflix, which is the way it should be. [SPEAKER_00]: Late last week, I decided to check the spotcass that are now on Netflix out. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I'm still kind of bored because of the absence of my wife. [SPEAKER_00]: Most of the podcasts are sports-related, which makes sense because that's what the ringer network does.
[SPEAKER_00]: The rest of the podcast on Netflix were mainly of the true crime genre. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not a big fan of sports these days, nor am I into true crime. [SPEAKER_00]: When I lived up in New York, I used to joke that if I wanted to get into true crime, all I'd have to do was spend some more time outside, but I don't get it. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, come on, you know, New York high crime rate? [SPEAKER_00]: Just think about it.
[SPEAKER_00]: At least none of Netflix's podcasts are political, which gives people a break from the endless political discussions these days. [SPEAKER_00]: The shells are strictly produced, well they do have that Spotify money flowing in, and the hosts are well chosen. [SPEAKER_00]: I primarily listen to audio dramas these days, and it's too bad this genre doesn't translate to video. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, then again, I guess that's why they call them audio dramas. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, duh!
[SPEAKER_00]: Unless Netflix starts doing what Facebook did years ago as I mentioned previously in my entertainment section. [SPEAKER_00]: If all goes well, I'm sure Netflix will continue to expand their video podcast selection. [SPEAKER_00]: The company does have a few Netflix backshows, drawn from independent podcasters. [SPEAKER_00]: I guess they can no longer be considered independent then. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, at least a video part of their shows.
[SPEAKER_00]: So have you checked out any of these podcasters on Netflix yet? [SPEAKER_00]: Well, the music is playing and it's time for me to start winding this episode down. [SPEAKER_00]: I hope you enjoyed this episode. [SPEAKER_00]: I enjoyed making it to where you. [SPEAKER_00]: You like what you heard. [SPEAKER_00]: You can make a donation using the link in the show notes. [SPEAKER_00]: Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated.
[SPEAKER_00]: You can always reach me at ofntpodcast at gmail.com if you're so inclined. [SPEAKER_00]: I'd enjoy hearing from you. [SPEAKER_00]: Remember, don't listen to what they say. [SPEAKER_00]: Watch what they do. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's getting late and I'm tired now, so get off my lawn. [SPEAKER_00]: Stay skeptical. [SPEAKER_00]: Ah, now. [SPEAKER_00]: See ya. [SPEAKER_02]: And that folks is the end of the show.
