It is almost unbelievable what I saw this morning as I opened the curtains. There in front of me the entire sky was a red color that I have never seen. But it gets weirder. As I went outside to my car I noticed that it was caked in this silty mud. But not just my car only, but all the other cars in the neighborhoods. So I googled car muddy from rain and there I discovered that everyone in the UK had also woken up to what the Internet is calling blood rain.
According to the UK's Weather Service, blood rain occurs when a large concentration of red colored dust gets mixed into the clouds, giving the rain a reddish appearance as it falls. But where did this dust originate from? The answer is the Sahara Desert. This rare weather event has been triggered by warm air carrying a dust cloud 2800 miles across the Britain. And when this dust has been mixed with our precipitation it has created this blood rain
effect. And once the water evaporates, it leaves behind a layer of dust which in turn has caused all of the car washes in the UK to be fully booked today. But did you know across the world bizarre things are happening? In May 2022, in a district in China, the entire sky went an even darker red color. And personally I'm not so sure if I buy their explanation. They claim it was caused by a very large fishing boat and the light reflected off this fishing boats onto the clouds above.
I know I could be wrong, but it is pretty hard to ignore the other strange events that are happening. Like Cristiano Ronaldo's football team Al Nassar. They had their game interrupted by a huge swarm of locusts in Saudi Arabia. However, that's not the only time that Saudi Arabia has blown the world's mind this year.
In January, we saw that the arid deserts were turning lusciously green and also videos were springing up across the Internet of abundant springs breaking forth in these dry areas. Out of nowhere, huge bodies of water were being formed. You probably know that this caused a lot of hype amongst certain Christians as they believed that this Bible verse was unfolding before their eyes. Behold, I will do a new thing now it shall spring forth, shall you not know it.
I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. I have also seen people online saying this swarm of locusts, this blood rain, the red sky, they're all signs that the end is near. Surely Jesus return must be just around the corner. After all, the scripture does say I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath. Blood and fire and vapor of smoke.
However, despite a whole bunch of people quickly judging one video I made without actually watching it, I am massively against date setting. Jesus said he taught so clearly that no man will know the hour, not even the angels in heaven will know when Christ returns. So there's no way you and I will ever find this out. And if any man comes to you and says Christ will return On this date, you need to run 1,000,000 miles from that person because they are telling a pack of lies.
Listen to me. We actually don't need signs and wonders to see the urgency of becoming a follow of Christ. The fact is this guys, you don't know if Christ will return tomorrow, but neither do you know if your heart will still be beating. And that is why every single one of us needs Christ's blood. If you like to rain on us, to cover us and to protect us from the judgments of God and to give us eternal life. Where are you going with this,
Joe? Well, throughout all of scripture we see this message that without the shedding of blood there can be no forgiveness of sins. In the Old Testament, the high priests were not allowed to enter before God's presence inside of the holy of Holies without a sacrifice of blood to make atonement for the sins. We also see do remember in Egypt when God's wrath fell upon the Egyptians, what were the Israelites commanded to do?
They were told to take the blood of an animal and to paint it across the doorposts so when the Angel of the Lord passed over, he would know that they were safe. They were protected. They were not to be touched because they were covered by the blood. And then at the cross we see the Lamb of God who shed his blood on that cross, Jesus Christ, so that we could be forgiven and so that our sins could be atoned for. I often hear atheists say, why can't God just forgive everyone?
Why does he demand blood? Well, the answer is simple. The Bible says the wages of sin is death, and the reality is the day that man and woman sinned against it's God. The day we rebelled against our Creator. We brought a curse upon ourselves. We brought death. And that is why death is required to reverse this curse and to bring us back. Because we have done something and there's a price that needs to be paid. Forgiveness is never cheap. Forgiveness always costs something.
But here's the good news God made away. God always provides a solution, and he did not leave us in this mess. He sent his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, who Jesus by the way, went willingly. And there on the cross, Jesus was punished for our sins. There he shed his blood so that we can be washed whiter than snow. I don't want to take this imagery too far, but just like when you're unclean, you need a shower so you and I are unclean before God.
The Bible says that no unclean thing can stand in the presence of God and we have stains across our body. Sin stains from our head to our toe. We're covered in sin and that is why we need showers of blessing Christ blood to scrub away those stains and to make us clean if you like. We need to stand under Christ Jesus and let his blood reign across others and make us acceptable and clean in the sights of God. God himself says, come now, let us reason together.
Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. And in 1876, Robert Lowry really summed up everything I've been trying to say in this video perfectly when he wrote these words. What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. What can make me whole again? Nothing but the the blood of Jesus, oh precious, is the flow that makes me white as snow.
