You may have heard that in the UK there are people trying to cancel Easter, well Joe Kirby from Off the Kirb Ministries gives the real reason why the UK accidentally lost it's Christian nation overnight and why Jesus is quickly being banned in Britain.

OK, I want you guys to look at this and then wait to find out exactly why I showed it you. There seems to be some confusion. They've accused us of being all sorts of things. We are Christians. They are Christian protesters outside a primary school. But why are they so upset? Well, you are not going to believe this one. But this school in Hampshire, England, Norwood Primary, which is for ages 5 to 11 years old, what did they decide to do? They decided to ban Easter.

Yes, you heard correctly. The Easter parade, gone. The Easter church services, gone. Learning about Jesus, gone. Why? Because apparently it's not inclusive. And now listen to me. I am a Christian and I believe that everyone was made in the image of God. So we are to make everyone feel welcome and loved. But this isn't just about let's make space for others. This feels like we're pushing Christianity out of the picture

completely. Like, how have we got to the point where the actual reason for Easter, the resurrection of Jesus Christ, is now too exclusive to mention in a country that's literally built on Christian foundations? However, this is where things get really contradictory. The head teacher, she sent out a letter and she said the reason they are cancelling Easter this year is because they want to

respect diversity. And it's stated, we understand that this change may be disappointing for some, especially those who have cherished these traditions over the years. However, we believe that this decision aligns with our values of inclusivity and respect for diversity. Well, I think we need to consider that the UK is not legally a Christian country and it is also an uncodified constitution and we are moving with the times, with everything else.

So I guess it's the similar way with this state school. Yeah, well. Respectfully, that's historically and factually untrue. We have an established church in this country. We are legally, factually, constitutionally a Christian country. Am I the only one who finds this absolutely bonkers? And here's where it gets even more baffling. A group of Christians from a local church turned outside the school to protest this action. Now these guys, they weren't breaking the law or anything.

They were just stood there with signs like Jesus is king and Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, you know, statements of faith. But even they were greeted with unkind reactions from the public, which to me, and maybe I'm wrong about this, it kind of sounds a lot like double standards here. Let's be inclusive for everyone but the Christians and their faith.

It has made me think though because I do wonder if it was another community or another religion protesting or being silenced on a matter, would there have been a greater uproar or would it have even happened in the 1st place? The answer I really want to know is why is it always Christians and can? I say, can I just say as well, I didn't mention in the introduction there what a bunch of hypocrites banging on about diversity and tolerance of other religions and faiths and communities.

You're deliberately excluding Christianity for what reason? I don't know. You're trying to be some sort of virtuous do gooder. You're doing more harm than good. I actually find it kind of sad that in an area of 136,000 people, there was only 50 people who turned up to protest. But Ukip's Nick Taconi showed up. And say what you like about him and his political party, but he pointed out something a lot of people are thinking that these diverse policies, they aren't

about inclusion. Sometimes it's about just ticking boxes and chasing funding and Christianity, well, what happens to that doesn't matter. Doesn't matter if we quietly edge it out, as long as we get the money and we tick all the right boxes. What's even more insane is the school originally tried to pass it all off, that, OK, yes, Easter, it will still be celebrated, but it'd be in the form of classroom lessons about the holidays, religious significance, using craft

activities. We all know what they're trying to say here, that they're just going to make paper Easter baskets and little arts and craft instead of a real celebration of Jesus's resurrection. I personally find this pretty patronising to Christians that we can just think, oh we'll just do something mild and nice like Easter eggs, but taking the students to a local church to think about the Saviour who died for them? No, no, no, there's no way we will ever entertain that thought

anymore. Do you think that sounds harsh? Well, I am sorry, but I honestly do believe a bit of colouring in and a chat about springtime doesn't exact actly honor the reality of Easter. It's the biggest event in the Christian calendar, the death and the resurrection of Jesus. It's not just a seasonal vibe, it's a precious part of our faith. Let me put it another way to you. What did our British boys lay their lives down for 100 years ago?

I think many of them would be heartbroken to see the state of this Nation Today, how we've lost our biblical values and everyone is allowed to have an opinion except the Christian. The UK's former home secretary, Suella Braverman, she even weighed in on the matter, calling it cultural surrender. She also said on a tweet on X Britain's Christian roots are being erased by spineless leaders who'd rather appease than preserve. And honestly, she's not wrong.

This isn't just one school doing its own thing. It fits into a much wider trend where the secular world is happy for everyone else to have rights to freedom of speech and freedom to religion. But when it comes to the Christian, it's time to hit the mute button. And just so we're clear, this isn't an isolated case. The Education Assembly's bill is currently under fire because it's trying to remove Christian assemblies from non faith

schools. Imagine that, a country where the majority of people still identify as Christian, but the traditions and teachings that have shaped this nation for centuries are being pushed aside for the sake of diversity. A Lord in the House of Lords pointed out that if these bills pass, most kids won't even hear the stories of Christmas or

Easter, Not even in a basic way. Guys, whether we like it or not, this nation was built on the story of a man who walked out of a tomb defeating death and offering eternal life. That's not something you could quietly phase out for the sake of being polite and including others. So can I ask you, what country are you watching this video from right now? And can I ask you, is your country getting better or is it getting worse?

So the Brits out there listening, anyone who has a sane mind would look at this country right now and they would say it has fallen so quickly, so rapidly, and if something drastic doesn't happen, we will no longer be called Great Britain, but we will be called Grim Britain. OK, I am going to choose my words very carefully now, but I can see that there will be British people right now watching this video, nodding their heads, agreeing with

everything I'm saying. But what I'm about to say next, you are not going to like whatsoever. The reason other religion, secular thinking and certain communities have the most powerful voice right now is actually because of you. Some of you, you are only Christian by name. You let the churches shut down. The churches needed you all those years ago and you stopped

going. And now the churches have become furniture places and some of them, as you know, have been turned into other religious buildings. Friends, you allowed that to happen. Some of you, you wanted God out of the schools. You pushed atheism on this nation. And now we took the Bible out of the schools. We took the Bible out of the classroom and we made Jesus Christ into this friendly guy that doesn't offend anyone. And we made the Christians quieter and quieter.

You right now you have dust on your Bible because you stop reading it. Friends, the reason the nation is like this is because what a man sows that he shall also reap and we are reaping what we sowed all those years ago where we said Christianity, we can take it or leave it. Jesus Christ is an all or nothing God. You cannot push him out into the corner and think that there will be no consequences for this because there are consequences

and I believe the Bible is true. Let me share a verse in the Bible with you. Proverbs 14 verse 34 says righteousness exalts an nation, but sin is our approach to any people. Well, what does that mean? It means that when a nation honors the Lord God, when a nation stands on the principles of the Bible, when a nation loves the Lord Jesus Christ, that nation will prosper, it'll be exalted, it will do well, it will flourish.

But when sin comes in, when we get men and women who'd rather go to the nightclubs than go to church, who'd rather sing horrible songs that are on the radio rather than sing the songs, the hymns of old like Amazing Grace. When we get a nation like that, that loves sin, it will be a reproach. It will bring the nation down. And my dear friends, my message is not this. I'm not saying let's turn back to God so that our nation will prosper again. That would be lovely to see.

It would be lovely to see Great Britain Great again. But I'm saying do it for your own soul. Wipe the dust off your Bibles, get back in church and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ. Don't just celebrate Easter as a nice festival, but know the meaning for it. Know the reason that Jesus Christ was torn to pieces on that cross Was your sin. Your sin Put him on the cross.

My sin, our lies, our pride, all the wrong things we've done, all the sins we've ever committed, past, present and future, it was all laid on the Lord Jesus Christ and all of our sin, it was imputed unto him. And Christ Jesus there on the cross took the weight of that sin.

He took the wrath of God as it was poured out on him so that you and I can be forgiven, so that you and I can have a fresh start, a new beginning, just like we think about at Easter, this new, new beginning of life in the eggs and chicks and all this beautifulness. And yet there's a new life that Christ can give to every single one of us if we turn from our sin, if we repent and turn to Him. Think about the one who rose from the grave, you and I, we're

all going 6 feet under one day. Is that right or is it wrong? We are all going to die, but Jesus Christ rose from the dead, and that's why we celebrate him. That's why He is greater than any man, because He is the only one who can raise himself out of that grave, who can bring himself out bodily. And now He's in heaven waiting to come back, and He's going to judge the living and the dead. Put your faith in Him. He is above any man, any religion, any political figure.

He is the greatest person that ever lived, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. And that's why we need to make Great Britain great again by remembering that Jesus Christ is the true King of Britain. He's the king of the entire universe. But never forget this. It doesn't matter what Britain does in the end to Christianity. They can get rid of every Christian in the land, but the truth will always be the truth. You cannot cancel the resurrection. You can try, trust me.

There've been people for for many years who've tried ever since the first Easter morning. But the tomb is still empty. Jesus is still alive. And that's the message. It's so true and it's not going anywhere. This morning I was reading Psalm 9 and it reminds us that God's justice is unshakable. Psalm 9, verse 15 says the nations have sunk down in the pit which they have made in the net which they hid. Their own foot is caught. That's the reality see we're seeing today, isn't it?

That's what we're seeing in Great Britain right now. The more the world tries to push Yahweh's truth aside, the more they end up getting trapped in their own schemes, in their own plans. We can see it in how society gets confused, how the core of who we are gets undermined, but God's justice is still true and in the end He will not be moved. Then it says in Psalm 9, verse 17, the wicked we'll return to Sheol, Even all the nations who forget God.

You see the nations who reject gods, they are going one way, they're going into a grave. Never forget that. They may silence us right now, but one day they will have no power to silence anyone, for they themselves will be silenced. They, the ones who forgot God, will be forgotten for all of eternity. And listen guys, I want the leaders of this land who are turning so strongly against the Lord Jesus Christ. I want them to repent. I want them to find Jesus.

I want that head teacher to realize what folly she's done, what foolishness she's done. I want all these people to come to the Lord Jesus Christ. So would you like to hear something beautiful for all of us to focus on and just dwell on this very week? Verse 7 of Psalm 9 says, but the Lord shall abide forever. He has prepared his throne for judgment. God is still on the throne. And he's not surprised by any of this.

No matter how much the world tries to cancel Christianity, the Lord's plan will always stand, and his justice and his mercy will endure forever. And this Easter, that's the truth. We celebrate that Jesus Christ conquered death, is reigning on high, and no matter what anyone else tries to do, he will always be my King and your king and every knee will bow to him one day.

So as we watch this whole cancel culture unfold, remember that we are anchored in something far stronger than any trend or any policy. We're anchored in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. And no matter what the world tries to do, no matter how hard they try to push him out, he will always be the Lord of Lords. And he invites us right now to follow him, to stand for confirm, for his truth, and to share his hope with others, especially when this world, especially when Great Britain,

needs it the most. So if you do want to stay updated on British news from a Christian perspective, please do subscribe. And if you want to know what the Church of England has recently done where they made a real botch up, you should probably click here.
