Watch this. My stance on this is when a firefighter comes up to a hydrant, we expect there's going to be water. We don't control the water supply. That's my position on this. So if there's no water, I don't know how the water gets to the hydrants.
Now reaction to that. Well, I know they were messing with the water letting reserves go for one reason or another. They've been doing that a while. California has a lot of problems that sort of baffle the mind as far as why they do things. And then in the events like this, you sort of look, is it on purpose? Which it's an insane thing to think, but one begins to ponder whether or not there is a purpose in mind. What could it be? You know, I don't know. Do they want the state empty?
I. Don't know. People are massively divided on who's responsible. This is what Charlie Kirk thinks. This is not an act of God. What you are seeing in California is man made. And what this man said is I don't deserve this. I don't know why God has done this. I don't deserve this. So where am I going with this? You and I, we don't deserve the grace of God. You see, if we put the law up against us, if we put God's measuring stick up against us, we will see that we can never
ever meet God's standard. God's standard is perfection. The Lord Jesus Christ himself said be perfect as your Father in heaven is also perfect. And I don't know about you watching this video, but I certainly cannot ever be perfect. Every single day I make a mess. Every single day I think wrong thoughts. Every single week I say wrong things. I'm constantly sinning all of the time, and God's standard is
perfection. If God's heaven is totally pure, totally righteous, and I can never, ever get there with my own good work site, my measuring stick, I will never, ever measure up to God's standard. Well, how on earth do I get into heaven? Well, the good news is this, while we were still sinners, Christ Jesus died for us on the
cross. The Lord Jesus Christ took all of my rottenness, all of my lies, all of my sin, all the wrong things I've ever done, all the things I'd be too embarrassed to share with you right now publicly on YouTube. All of the sin that I've ever done, all the times I've messed up, it was laid on Jesus Christ. And there on the cross, the wrath of God was poured out on innocent Jesus. There all of my sin was transferred to Jesus, and God took out his anger on Jesus Christ in my place.
You see, I should have been on that cross. You should have been on that cross. You do know that the Bible says that God is angry with the wicked every single day. And the wicked doesn't just mean you know those people you hear about on the news. The wicked means you and me because we've all rebelled against a holy God. We've all thought that we can run the show and do our own things. And yet, despite all of this, God loves us deeply.
And that is what the cross was about, where all of our wickedness was laid on Christ Jesus and all of Christ righteousness can be given to us as a gift. It can be attributed to our accounts if we will believe on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. And just like that man was was crying his eyes out thinking God, I don't deserve this. When you realize that the Lord
Jesus Christ died in your place. When you realize that that story that was written 2000 years ago, that real life event that happened 2000 years ago, Jesus Christ was thinking of you when he was dying on the cross. When that enters into your heart, it will change your world and you 2 will shed tears saying why did you die for me? Why did you show me this grace? I don't deserve it. I'm a Sinner. And the Lord Jesus Christ, he died, He was buried on the third day. He rose from the dead.
And that is why we can trust in him alone for salvation. And I want to ask you today, you're probably thinking about everything that's on in the news. Have you thought about your eternal soul? People have lost their possessions, their houses, they've lost everything but their soul. Their soul will live on forever and ever in either heaven or hell. And I hope that you will run from the flames of hell so much more than you'll run from any
flames on this earth. And you'll run into the arms of the Lord Jesus Christ. He'll save you and wash away your sins. Come to him right now. So can I ask you one more question?
