Heavenly Father, your word has taught me that my life is, but a vapor that is here for a short while and then vanishes away. Lord. I know that my life is brief. I know that we are born, we blink and then we die. So today this very day, I bow in your presence. Yes, and thank you that my heart is beating today. I thank you that today. I am alive on your beautiful Earth and I can say with the Prophet. Jeremiah that your mercies are new every morning.
I know the devil would want me to focus on my anxieties and on the pain that I am carrying in my heart. But I want to praise you and say this is the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it. Merciful god. I know that I cannot hide from you. There is nothing. You do not see. So I want to confess something to you. Yesterday, I failed you. Yesterday, I sinned against you the God. I love. So now, quietly in my heart. I named all the sins I committed
against you. And I asked that the blood of Jesus Christ would Wash Me whiter than snow. Oh Lord. Thank you for Jesus. Thank you. That the most precious gift you gave, me is not my family. It's not my house. It's not my job. It's not my gifts or my talents with the most precious gift. I own is that I can say that the Son of God is my savior. Everything else in my life may Fall to Pieces. But as long as I remember, my
name is written in heaven. I shall have no reason to complain and I will say the Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want. But gracious God, you know that my heart is broken at the state of this world. This wonderful creation that you breathed into. Existence is now populated with billions of people who hate you, The God Who knitted them together in the womb. So I plead with you father, show them your love, I beg you. Oh God, have mercy on this broken World, which desperately
needs the Lord? Jesus. Father. Please sweep your Holy Ghost through the nation's like you did in the times of old and Lord as we think of this Lost World. It's hard for his not to think of our loved ones, our friends and our family who do not know you. So, again, quietly in our hearts. We named them and we remember them before you. Help me to be wise, and above all help me to be fascinated, not by the things of this world. But to be fascinated with you and to build my treasures in heaven with Christ, fill me with
your spirit. And I Scott that your hand of blessing and protection would be upon everything I do today for my family for my work and everywhere I go. I would know that you are with me. So Lord. Amen. In 1968, John Steven a quarry was running a race for his country, Tanzania in the Olympics. And we've all seen it before on the television, where, you know, there's a bit of a tussle. All hard and crusty to know what the boys and girls used to do these still wet their finger and they used to pick at that wound. Now, why is that a bad thing to do? Because if you keep picking at that wound, it's never going to heal. It's never going to get better and likewise my dear friends. If you keep replaying that sorrow that trouble you keep thinking about it over and over again. It's never going to heal. It's Ever going to get better. So, what should we do instead?
I don't know if you've ever heard of this him, but it goes like this. Count your blessings. Name them one by one, and it will surprise you what the Lord has done. And you know what guys? That's what I do every single day. Every morning I wake up and I thank God that I've got a wife, that I've got a son that I've got a Ministry that he's given me Health today that I'm able to walk. I'm able to see and that more importantly, my name is written in heaven. Have you ever been in a room?
Or when a really joyful positive person enters into the room and suddenly the atmosphere Rises and everyone feels happier because that person's entered, have you done that before and likewise? Have you been in a room before when a negative person enters the room and this big black cloud of negativity follows them into that room. What happens? The atmosphere starts to drop who. Should the Christian be the
first or the second? I think we should be the first but I do Wonder now if the One watching this and you've actually got tears in your eyes and you'll say, I can't even smile anymore. Joe let alone lift any positive atmosphere will see you my dear friend. I want to say this. Even in the darkest of nights morning, always comes and you might be in the darkest point of your life and you've no Blackness before, but this is
