Did you know that every ancient culture has its own account? Of a worldwide flood. The American Indians recount a time when a powerful snake made all the people evil this snake then caused water to wash everything away. However, this wasn't the end of the story a man known by the American Indians as the grandfather of all men actually survived the flood by riding on the back of a great turtle. The South American people believe in a story from Peru.
There was a shepherd and his family, and one day they noticed that their llamas were sad. Upon further inspection, they realized why. The stars had begun to align in a pattern that warned them that a great flood was coming. So the shepherd and his family immediately climbed to the top of a high mountain, and this protected them when the floodwaters began to spread. Across the earth.
The ancient Greeks told a story of a man who made a box where he could store all things necessary for life. One day, he and his wife decided to shut themselves away in this box. Coincidentally, the Greek God Zeus decided to cause a great rain to fall. Literally everyone was removed from the earth, except those who, like in our last story, were smart enough to climb up to
some very tall mountains. Now the man and his wife, they remained in their box, and this box was tossed around the ocean for many days until eventually it hit dry ground. So they were rewarded for thinking inside the box. The people of India believe in a person called Manu who had a conversation with a fish. The fish prophesied that there would be a huge flood and it would wipe everyone else.
This fish then suggested that Manu built a boat and so he did and thus lived on to tell the tale. On the islands of the Pacific they have multiple flood stories. One goes like this. A fisherman got his fishing hooks caught in the hair of a slumbering ocean guard. Once awoken, he decided that all the people on the earth were evil and they should be dealt
with. The fisherman pleaded for a second chance, so the ocean guard told him to go on an island where he would be safe when the floodwaters began to arrive. The ancient Babylonians believed and God who told a man you tapish him to build a boat and fill it with his family, property, food and cattle as life was about to be washed away by a great flood.
Now you won't believe this, but after six days on the boat, this Babylonian version of Noah sent out a dove, a swallow, and a Raven to check if everything was clear for him to leave the boats. When he eventually left the boats he then made an offering to the gods and this pleased them greatly. OK, you probably know by now that I am a Christian and I don't believe in any of these stories, but I believe in the biblical accounts of Noah.
But I am going to make a statement for you and I want you to tell me what you think happened. Either all of these stories are just coincidences, or there actually was. A real. Worldwide flood and all of these ancient cultures are somehow trying to explain this massive event with their own campfire tales. By the way, if you are interested in hearing about ancient civilizations, you will struggle to hear some information I want to share with
you in a future video. You'll find it very hard to find this information anywhere else, so please do subscribe if you'd like to see this video that will be coming very soon. But right now, the evidence for a worldwide flood is not just in every ancient culture, but across the entire face of the world. Take a look at this.
This is the Grand Canyon, and it doesn't take a genius to see that this beautiful natural wonder of the world was caused by a huge amount of water cutting through the deep parts of the Canyon. And do you not think that the layers and layers of rock which we can see today show evidence of rock layers being laid down extremely quickly by a worldwide
floods? Especially when we can see organisms crossing over into different parts of the sediment as if they were buried very quickly as opposed to each layer being formed slowly over millions of years? But guys, would you like to see a memorable picture which you will never quite Unsee? This fish was caught red handed eating its lunch. So come on now, how can we explain this other than the obvious explanation that this fish was buried suddenly in a huge amount of water?
However, this wasn't the only time that the fossil record proved the biblical. Story to be. True, on the 29th of May 1953, Edmund Hillary became the 1st man to climb Mount Everest and it's rumoured that when he reached the very top, he found sea shells. I wouldn't mention this rumour normally, but it has actually been fact checked by real geologists and real palaeontologists who have also found shells on the top of Mount Everest. But not just shells, but fish
fossils too. So over to you now you explain to me what a fish doing 29,000 feet above sea level. The obvious answer is the Bible's accounts of Noah's flood. It says and the waters prevailed exceedingly on the earth, and all the high hills or mountains in other versions under the whole heaven were covered. One piece of evidence which is staring every single one of us in the face is the fact that Earth is covered by 71% of
water. And it's no secret that water doesn't just disappear, but it's recycled over and over again through the water cycle. So which do you think makes more sense? The opposing view from those who do not believe in the Bible and the Flood who say that the reason water covers the majority of the world is because it arrived on comets? Or do you think it makes more sense that all of this water is a remnant from a worldwide
flood? And actually, all of these ancient cultures could be on to something. But listen to me, It's not just Christians who believe in a worldwide flood. Graham Hancock, who is not a follower of Jesus Christ, also believes the evidence for such an event is undeniable. And there is evidence for cataclysmic flooding across North America dated to the Younger Dryas between 12,800 and 11,600 years ago.
Here's a map that shows the extensive scarring of what are called the channelled Scablands in the Pacific Northwest of North America. This is a meteorite. It's an iron meteorite, and it was found in Oregon and it's sacred to the Native American people of Oregon. But it didn't come from Oregon. It came from 100 miles further
north. It came from the Canadian ice cap and it was carried in an iceberg on those floods from Canada into Oregon. Then the iceberg melted away, leaving this 15 ton oriented ion meteorite and dated to exactly 12,800 years ago. Rocks on this giant scale carried there in enormous icebergs are found all over the Pacific Northwest. This area is even called Boulder Park. There's so many of them, and we must try to envisage the kind of floods that could have caused
this level of damage. Floods that were jostling with enormous icebergs, that had whole forests ripped up by their roots within them, that were mud and rubble in the basis of them, highly erosive features, erosive enough to create this fossilized waterfall called Dry Falls in just two weeks. The water at the bottom of Dry Falls is just rainwater that has
pooled there. But 12,800 years ago a humongous flood poured over this and scoured out that waterfall and then stopped quite suddenly to get a sense of the scale. If we put Niagara Falls in the picture, you can begin to realise how big Dry Falls is. Niagara Falls is still there. The river is still creating it. Dry Falls 12,800 years ago, the work of two weeks of flooding. Nature is fractal. We we know that what nature does on a small scale, it also does
on a large scale. So go to the beach, watch the tide go out, and you will see little current ripples on the beach. And those ripples might be an inch high and a few feet long. But there are current ripples on the Camas Prairie in the Pacific Northwest that are on a completely different scale. You can get a sense of it here. We'll go closer. That's a car for scale.
These current ripples are 50 feet high and 300 feet long, and they testify to the most enormous flooding that passed through and then receded in that area. And the story continues in Minnesota. It continues in the Finger Lakes of New York State. The latest science is saying these are not carved by glaciers. These are the result of flooding. So they just stand out like.
Out of nowhere. This thing was transported almost 200 miles from it's it's likely origin was Mount Robeson and we didn't get to this one, but this is evidence that the the flooding was much more extensive than just the Missoula flooding your North American continental I should. Just jump in there and say that it isn't any longer controversial that there was gigantic flooding in the Pacific Northwest and indeed across the whole range just South of the ice camp, that that is accepted now.
But the very idea that there was flooding at all was hotly opposed for for decades there was a Great American geologist called J Harlan Bretz who was the first to document the fact that there had been colossal flooding in that area. And he lived in the 1900s and nineteen 1920s. And because he suggested that there had been a cataclysm, of course, he was exiled by his colleagues.
Eventually his data prevailed, and he was awarded the Penrose Medal, the highest award of the geological geology in America, in 1976, when he was like 96 years old. But it's so. Disturbing to. Me that it works like that. It works like that but. What happened, you see, was Holland Bretz was convinced from the beginning that he was dealing, and this is a very experienced field geologist, that he was dealing with a single humongous flood. See here's.
The problem? Geologists haven't been focused on catastrophism. What they've been doing, they work for the government. They work for the oil companies. They're they're more interested in what's down below the, the, the natural gas, the oil and stuff. There's another point. There's another point I'd like to add to that, Randall, as to why geologists are not focused on catastrophes. Geology is a science and and science in effect defined itself as being different from
religious superstition. So the notion of the great flood that we find in the Bible became a very discredited notion in science and, and the the the by by by by association with that, any suggestion of a great cataclysm in the past was seen as superstitious behavior to be shunned completely by the squeaky clean, shiny new sciences who must never take
that into account. So any geologist who dares to propose a cataclysmic episode is up against that right away that his colleagues don't want to go there. Because they're afraid. That they're going to be. Accused of. Buying into Noah's flood or whatever. That's so unfortunate. If you remember one word from this entire video, remember this one. Prepare. Because here's the thing, even in Noah's day, there were doubters. There's nothing new under the
sun. When I was a little boy, do you know, I used to sing a hymn, a children's hymn, and it went like this. Mr. Noah built an ark. The people thought it such a lark. Mr. Noah pleaded so, but into the ark they would not go. And Jesus Christ Himself said, For as in the days that were before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage until the day that Noah entered into the ark. And they knew not until the flood came and took them all away.
So shall also be the coming of the Son of Man Be you see, Noah was a preacher of righteousness. Oh, how that godly man wanted people to turn from their pride, to turn from their wrongdoings, and to find safety in God's rescue plan the ark. But nothing's changed today. Men and women stand on street corners and preach that God's judgement is coming. So men and women should prepare today.
Pastors preach in pulpits and say there is only one way to escape God's wrath and that is through the Lord Jesus Christ. So prepare to meet thy God today. Millions, possibly even. Billions have seen men, women and many young and old people on social media pleading with sinners to come to the Lord Jesus Christ. But how does this generation respond?
Just like in the days of Noah, they laugh and they think that we're all just a big joke for trusting in this one man and what this one man did 2000 years ago. Just like the people thought that Noah was a joke for building an art. And it's sad because they do think we're out of our minds because we believe that Jesus Christ will save us and that he is coming again.
But mark my words, the rain will start to fall and this generation will one day see the judgments of God that they ignored and laughed at. Because soon God will judge the world again. But he won't do it with water this time. Now he's promised he'll never use water again. Now the next time he judges, it will be with fire. And you know as well as I do there is something that awaits all those people who reject the sun, all those people who say I do not want Jesus Christ.
You know, something is awaiting. All friends, seek refuge in Christ today. There is an ark today, and that ark is the Lord Jesus. The door of the boat is flung open and all. Who will walk? In will be saved, but you must enter before the door shuts because that door will not be open forever. You must come to the cross that was also built from woods and let the Lord Jesus Christ wash away all of your sins. He will wash. Away everything.
You've ever done all that wrongness with his very blood, because his love also flows out to all mankind. It flows richly, like a flood. And that's why he went to the cross in love. In love He shed his blood for you so that you can be cleansed. And so today turned to him because he not only died, but he rose again and he's coming back for his church one day, despite what the doubters say. And I hope every single one of us will know and remember that
Jesus Christ is coming again. And one day he's going to gather all those who love him and trust in him, and he's going to take us up to be with him in the clouds. And I really do hope that you will be there that day meeting him in the clouds, because you too have trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Saviour. But hey, now I can hear some of you say, Joe, why don't you show the people a more physical imprint of Noah's Ark in the mountains of Ararat?
Well, I have a whole video dedicated to this incredible discovery. If you'd like to see that, please click. Here and if you haven't. Yet subscribed. Please do. It would be a real privilege to see you in the next video. God bless you all and thank you for watching.
