The Antichrist. The Antichrist. The Antichrist. Antichrist. Who is the Antichrist? I've grown tired of people claiming they know who this man is without really understanding why. So I've gone on a deep dive to find out when this guy will arrive. Has he already been? How he will rise to become the world's most powerful leader? And perhaps most shocking of all, who do I think this man is? OK, so I believe there are three
possible candidates. And once I've presented all the evidence before you, I'm going to tell you which of these I believe the Antichrist really is #1 Caesar Nero. Now this is going to blow you away. The Bible says here is the mind which has wisdom. The seven heads are the seven mountains on which the woman sits. There are also 7 kings. 5 have fallen. One is and the other has not yet
come. And when he comes, he must continue for a short time the beast that was and is not himself also the 8th and is of the seven, and is going to perdition. So let's break this down. John was given a revelation by God, and he saw 7 kings, 7 rulers who would sit on the seven mountains or the seven hills in other translations. Now guess how many hills there are in Rome? There are 7.
So who are these 7 kings? Well, at the time John was writing Revelation, there had been 7 emperors of Rome. Who were these emperors? Well there was Julius Caesar, there was Caesar Augustus, there was Tiberius, there was Caligula, there was Claudius, Caesar, Nero, and there was Demetrian. And what does John say will happen to these 7 kings? Well he says five of them have fallen, meaning 5 will die naturally. 1 is.
So at the time that John was writing there was one who is still alive, and then there was one we can conclude died naturally. And then he says that one out of the original 7 will come back and he will be the 8th who is going to be the beast, which is another name for the Antichrist. Now here's where it gets very crazy. The first emperor of Rome, Julius Caesar, was taken out. The second emperor, Caesar Augustus, died in old age.
Naturally, the third emperor of Rome, Tiberius, was poisoned. The 4th Caligula was also taken out. And then the 5th Claudius, again he was poisoned. And then we come to the sixth number six, the 6th emperor of Rome, Caesar Nero committed age 31 because he was awaiting the death sentence in jail. And then lastly #7 Demetian was alive when John was writing Revelation. Now isn't that interesting? Here we have 5 emperors who have fallen, one who is 1 who's still alive right now, and one who
died naturally. But the prophecy which John wrote down was this. Out of the original 7 who has already died, one would come back and he would be the Antichrist, the beast. So where did I get Nero from? When the book of Acts we actually read that the apostle Paul appealed to Caesar. Who was this Caesar? It was Caesar Nero, and you know the apostle Paul as well as I do, What was his one passion in life? He had to preach the gospel. Woe to me if I do not preach the
gospel, Paul said. And I believe that when the apostle Paul met Caesar, he would have preached Christ, the cross and the risen Savior. OK, so one theory goes like this. Caesar Nero for a period of time was a very successful ruler. And then his mind sort of unhinged, he went insane. And some people claim that after he met the apostle Paul, that was the thing that sent him insane. You know, after he rejected the gospel, something spiritual happened to his soul and it sent
him on the wrong tracks of life. But whether you agree with that theory or not, there is one thing you've got to admit to me, and it's this. Nero was one of the most evil men who ever walked on the face of this earth. And he did some very Antichrist things. You know, he had his own wife taken out. In fact, two of his wives were taken out and his own mother as well. Nero was obsessed with his own popularity. He was popular at the time.
People loved him and he loved Greek tradition, this idea that you can be your own God and that you're worshipped. Did you know this? Nero absolutely hated Christians. He had Christians torn to pieces by dogs. They were burned to life. Some of them were even crucified, like our Savior. And Nero had relations. He did wicked things that are too shameful for me to speak publicly. But I will say this, what he did would shock even all of our newspapers today. But perhaps most suspects of all
is this. In the Hebrew language, every single letter is given a number. And if you add up the numbers of Nero's name, guess what number? It adds up to the mark of the beast. But hey, before we get too excited, if you add up the numbers of Barney the Dinosaur, it also equals 666. I never trusted that guy anyway.
And also, the Book of Revelation was written in Greek, not Hebrew. But then at the same time, let's not forget that Hebrew was the original language of God's people, the people of Israel. Another name for the Antichrist is the Son of destruction. And if there's one man who brought utter destruction to earth, it was Adolf Hitler. The Bible says he shall speak pompous words against the Most High, shall persecute the Saints of the Most High, and intend to
change times and law. Then the Saints shall be given into his hand for a time and times and half a time. What we know about the Antichrist Christ is he is going to destroy many of God's people during the Tribulation. So when all those millions of Jews and all those Christians were put to death in the Holocaust, I can imagine many people wondered, is Hitler the Antichrist?
And not only this, just like the Antichrist will force his mark upon the world, so Hitler forced the Jews to wear a mark on themselves during his reign. But perhaps the strongest piece of evidence of all is this. Hitler had one goal in life. He wanted to take over the world. He wanted world domination. And what does the Bible say
about the Antichrist? The 4th beast shall be the 4th Kingdom on earth, which shall be different from all other kingdoms and shall devour the whole earth, trample it and break it into pieces. You see, the Antichrist is going to set up the greatest empire this world has ever seen. He will dominate the entire world, but he won't do it by his
own power. The Bible tells us he'll be indwelt by the spirit of Satan and Satan who was once cast out of heaven because he wanted to be worshipped, He wanted to raise himself up, he wanted to exalt himself above the Most High God. Well, he will be the reason why the Antichrist will also want to be worshipped because he will have the power of Satan operating through his mind and
heart. It is important to remember this Kingdom which will seem utterly impossible, which will devour the whole world and everyone will think no one can stop it. The Bible says when the Lord Jesus Christ appears, he will slay the Antichrist with the very breath of his mouth. All right. But everyone just stop here for a minute because we should never forget this. Hitler did not achieve global power. He did not achieve total world domination, but the Antichrist
will. And another reason that should make us a little bit skeptical is this. The Jews hated Hitler, and for a very good reason. But the Scriptures tell us that the Jews will see the Antichrist and they will love him. They'll see him as a sort of Messiah, as a sort of savior for them. Jesus said I have come in my Father's name, and you do not receive me. But if another comes in his own name, him you will receive. And as you know, Jesus was a Jew, but the Jewish people rejected him.
They rejected their only Messiah. He came to his own, but his own did not receive him. But there's one thing we can be sure of, and it's this. The Jewish people will not reject the Antichrist. They'll receive him and they'll welcome him. And in a moment's time, I'm going to tell you just why that is. But first, I want to hear from you. Do you think Adolf Hitler could
be the Antichrist? Well, before I tell you the answer, in a moment's time, let's hear who the third Antichrist might be #3 a famous celebrity. Let me let you into a secret. I love reading the comments from all of my YouTube subscribers all around the world. It encourages me so much. But one thing it has done is it's exposed me to different theories of who you believe the Antichrist is. Some people say it's him and then others say no, no, it's definitely him.
No, maybe it could be this person. No, it's this or it's him, it's him, it's him, it's him, it's him. And the problem with all of these different ideas swirling around the Internet is they can't all be right. There can only be 1 Antichrist. And guys, I'll say it again, I could be totally way off with who I believe it is when I give you the answer in a moment's time. So what are the signs we need to look out for so we can identify who this person is?
Well, we know the Antichrist is going to speak blasphemous things about God. He's going to be a blasphemer of the Lord Jesus Christ. We know he's going to perform miraculous signs, which is going to woo the whole world into following him. We know that the Antichrist is going to be a great communicator. He's going to be the finest public speaker, and he's going to be full of confidence. And we also know that the Antichrist will not be attracted to women.
The Bible says he shall neither regard the God of his Father's nor the desire of women. And perhaps the most revealing sign of all is this. During the seven-year tribulation, the Antichrist will do something no man has ever achieved. He'll bring peace to Jerusalem. Now, as I say that very sentence, it seems totally impossible as we think about the current tensions that are going on in the Middle East. But he will.
He'll restore the temple. He'll make a covenant, a promise to the people of Israel. And just when the Jewish people believe that he is their Messiah, they believe that they're in safe hands, the Antichrist will turn on them. He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering in the temple. He shall do cruel things to the Saints of the Most High. And worst of all, he will take his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.
Jesus Christ himself warned us of this in Matthew 24 when he spoke of the abomination of desolation. So really, until the Antichrist rises to power, until he brings peace to the Middle East and everyone starts worshipping him, ultimately we won't know really until the day that he comes. So yes, we can have all of these ideas, but at the end of the day, they're just opinions. And as Christians, we're called not to base our lives on opinions. We're called to root our lives into Scripture.
But that being said, if you really push me in a corner, and if you really pressed me and said, Joe, who do you think the Antichrist is? I probably say to you, I believe it is Caesar Nero or someone like #1 or dare I say someone operating in the same spirit as Nero Nero. I almost hesitate to admit to this because I don't want to go too far with this, But a possibility that has ran through my mind is the Antichrist is going to mimic the Lord Jesus.
We know that for sure. And I have wondered if there will be some way in the future where people from the past can be brought back. And I do wonder if Caesar Nero will rise from the dead and then suddenly he will lead the whole world into worshipping the beast himself and all that is wrong and all that is dark. And listen to me, I do find it fascinating how in Revelation 17 it says about this person that he was meaning he was once alive, but now he is not.
But someone from this original 7 will become the 8th, the 8th king, and he will be the Antichrist who will rule the world. All right, a little disclaimer here. If you haven't subscribed already, I would encourage you to do so because I actually have another Antichrist video coming out very soon where I'm going to give you some more modern day possibility of who if I am wrong about Nero, which I very well could be. Well, these are the other guys of who I think it could be also.
It is absolutely crucial that you remember this though the word Antichrist means in the place of meaning taking the place of the Lord Jesus Christ. And the most urgent question you need to ask yourself is not who is the Antichrist, but who is the Antichrist in my life? What is taking the place of the Lord Jesus Christ? Is there something that is reigning in your life where Christ should be reigning? Because only the Lord Jesus Christ has the right to sit on
the throne of your life. Maybe you're listening and you are absolutely obsessed with another person. A few years ago I was preaching on the streets and I met a man who said I am God. So I asked his girlfriend is he God? And she said yes, he's God. You see, there are many people who worship their boyfriend or their girlfriends or even their friends. This is a total sin. But maybe you are worshiping a
sin. Maybe you're a turning over and over and over against the same sin, or maybe you worship a dream, an idea that you will one day become famous and popular and you yourself will exalt yourself above everyone. Friends, if that is you again, I will say, repent and turn from that sin. If you have not yet put your trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, you must do that now. Because as we look at the world, we've got to say we are changing
very, very quickly. And when the Lord Jesus Christ returns, when the one who conquered the grave comes back, you want to make sure sure that you're on that winning side. Because I'll tell you one thing, you do not want to be on the side of the Antichrist, Satan, the beast and the false prophet. No, you want to be on the side of the Lord Jesus Christ. And there are two types of people that get into heaven, perfect people and forgiven people.
And unless you are perfect, you need the Lord Jesus Christ. Because on the cross the wonderful Saviour took in his body our lies, our blasphemy, our pride, our filthiness, all our sin, and he was crucified. That you and I can be forgiven and have a home in heaven. So I plead with you today, this very day, receive the Savior of the world. Know that your sins can be forgiven, that you could be washed white and snow, and that you have eternal life.
And you are trusting in the most powerful one, the Christ who will one day return. And when he returns, he'll blow with his breath and he'll slay the Antichrist and all the powers of darkness. That's the man you want to follow. That's the Lord Jesus Christ, my Lord, and my saviour. Now I do wonder if there's anyone asking this question. Joe, why didn't you mention the two witnesses?
