Ever catch yourself rewriting a conversation in your head hours later?

Me too — and that space between who we are and who we’re trying to be? That’s exactly where this podcast lives.

I was adopted from India at 11 months old, raised as the middle child in a divorced household, and have been overthinking everything since I learned how to talk. I’m a wife (married to a fellow Taurus — so yes, things get passionate AND stubborn), a mom of two loud, wild-hearted kids, and a business owner who built a photography company from scratch… only to realize that “success” didn’t mean I felt fulfilled.

Burnout pushed me to pivot, and now I help other business owners tell their stories — but somewhere along the way, I realized I was editing more than just photos or marketing copy… I was editing myself.

This podcast is me un-editing in real time.

It’s not picture-perfect. But it’s honest.

We’ll talk about the stuff we usually keep in — the mistakes, the mom guilt, the one-star reviews, the messy middles and the “oh no, did I overshare?” moments.

Because what I’ve learned is that connection starts in the messy parts. And if one thing I say makes you feel seen or understood, then this podcast is already doing its job.

Welcome to Off Brand, On Point. Let’s get comfortably uncomfortable.

Whether you’re a parent or not, motivated or still figuring it out, dreaming big, building something new, or rebooting what’s next — you’re welcome here. Let’s navigate real life and business together, one unfiltered conversation at a time.

Thanks for listening to Off Brand, On Point. If this episode hit home, made you laugh, or gave you something to think about, share it with a friend or leave a quick review.

Welcome to Off Brand On Point

Channa

Hey there , I'm Channa , a wife , a mom , a business owner and a lifelong overthinker who's finally ready to start sharing the things I usually just edit in my head . Welcome to Off Brand On Point , the podcast for the people hitting backspace on their whole life mid-sentence .

If you've ever caught yourself replaying a conversation or wishing you could explain yourself better hours later , you know the stuff you rewrite in your brain when you're driving or rethink while standing in the shower , that conversation or replaying that conversation over and over again . Well , you're already in the right place .

This is my first episode , so it might be a little bit messy , might be a little bit of a ramble , but it's a little honest and totally unfiltered just the way life really is . So I'm going to start this podcast off with a channel

Our Unique Life Ingredients

word . I want to start with something that I truly believe in , and that is that I think we are all made up of different life ingredients . I could not think of a better word to explain like a unique mix of experiences , family dynamics , heartbreaks , victories , everyday moments .

Those are the ingredients that shape how we see the world , how we feel and how we even respond to life and everything around us . So if you hear me share something you don't totally agree with , or maybe you see it differently . I think that's okay .

That's part of the beauty of real conversations Even when our stories look different , we can still relate , we can still learn and we can still find connections .

My Story and Family Life

I believe my story starts when I was abandoned at five to six months old . I was adopted from India at 11 months old and I am forever grateful for the opportunities that my family and my parents have given me . I was the middle child .

I grew up with an older brother and a younger sister , but I also grew up with divorced parents something no child wishes for . But it shaped me . All of these different aspects shaped me into someone who feels deeply , loves fiercely and values real connections more than anything .

I'm sure this will be my husband's favorite part , as I have to say , my husband is my whole world and has been since the day I met him . One of the many things we have in common is our astrology sign . We are both tourists , if you know .

You know stubborn , but loyalty to the core , and when you take two big personalities like ours and make children , well let's just say you get even bigger personality kids . My daughter evelyn is witty and wise way beyond her years , seven going on 17, . 100% , without a doubt I would say .

She's sharp , she's hilarious , creative , loves to dance , music , all the things , and somehow already knows how to read a room better than most adults . My son , ezra , is your textbook boy to the T , full of energy , curiosity , loves to be outside , explore all the things . Being a boy , that is him 100% .

But both kids are amazing with the biggest hearts , and they have stretched my heart and patience more than I ever thought was possible . Heart and patience more than I ever thought was possible . But if you walked into our house on any random afternoon , you would hear it before you saw it .

It's loud , the laughter is loud , the fights are loud , the emotions are loud , we're mad loud and honestly , that's just our soundtrack , that's just our life . Talk about overstimulated sometimes , and not just the kids , all of us . But somewhere in all that noise there's a lot of love too , and that's what matters most .

So now that you've gotten a little glimpse into the chaos and heart inside my home , I want to shift gears just for a minute and tell you a little bit about the business side , Because all of those little life ingredients make up who I am today

Building a Business and Finding Balance

. I built my photography business almost 10 years ago from scratch . I hit goals and milestones that I thought were near impossible , but eventually I realized real success , the kind that actually just feels right , looks more like pivoting . I had to shift and , to be honest , I had a little bit of a burnout .

I started helping businesses tell their story through marketing . I love that side of the business behind the scenes , and had more of a drive of helping other business owners building brands , crafting strategies , editing what wasn't working and amplifying what was .

Somewhere between editing photos , designing marketing plans , creating social media strategies for clients , I realized I was also editing something much bigger myself Editing who I was as a wife , editing who I was as a mom , editing who I was as a business owner , even a woman . Just trying to show up a little better every day .

Wearing all these different hats is a blessing , but it's also okay to admit that , even when all the blessings , growth can feel messy , overwhelming and a little lonely sometimes . That doesn't make me ungrateful , it just makes me human , and this was something I had to learn .

I'm still mid at it , still making mistakes , still learning and still trying to show up fully not perfectly and that's exactly why I'm here . Fun fact , this is not my first podcast . I did a podcast a couple of years ago when Ezra was really little , possibly still kind of like newborn , I don't know .

Maybe he was more like two , but he's going to be five this summer and I don't know what time is , because it just does not seem possible . But here we are . What I do know is I'm definitely not in the same season or chapter of life that I was when I recorded that first podcast , and that's part of why this version just feels different to me .

It's more real , it's more me . One of the biggest shifts I had this past year was finding a mom group , not a picture perfect one or like an Instagram filtered mom group , but real moms , real life and real

The Healing Power of Real Conversations

messy conversation . It all started just because all of our kids ended up in the same class . We started doing dinners , talking about everything and nothing all at once , swapping parent wins and hilarious kid stories and venting sometimes about hard days , and every once in a while the conversations would get deep .

I'd come home after a few of those dinners thinking , oh no , did I overshare ? Are they going to think I'm crazy ? But every time , every time without fail .

We scheduled the next dinner , we kept showing up , we kept growing our friendships and somewhere in there I realized how healing it is just to talk about some of the hard stuff , not to fix it , not to get advice , but just to know that someone else gets it . Just when someone else is there to say I know exactly what you mean or how you feel .

That's what this podcast is for . I'm ready to share the parts of my life and business that didn't go perfectly , parts of my life and business that didn't go perfectly the mom guilt , the mistakes , the messy middles , the one star review that one kills me and all the lessons that came with them .

Because if sharing my mess helps even just one person feel a little less alone , then this whole thing already is worth

What This Podcast Is For

it . Hey , so we made it to the end and if you made it this far , just thank you so much . Seriously , it means more than you know that you're here for this very first real episode . Today's episode was a little more intro style , just giving you a real glimpse into who I am , where I'm coming from and why this podcast even exists .

But going forward , we're diving into the good stuff . I want to talk about real events , real stories , real thoughts and conversations , the ones you usually only have with your closest people or sometimes not even out loud at all .

I love sharing the things that have helped me , whether it's a mindset shift or like a business tip , a life hack or just a lesson learned the hard way .

I'm not out here trying to be some Amazon influencer or pretend to have it all figured out , but I am someone who lived it , learned a lot and is still learning every day , and if sharing even a little piece of that helps someone or just makes you feel a little less alone , then that's exactly what this podcast is for . So thanks again for being here .

Remember , life might not follow the brand guide , but that's exactly what makes it worth living . I'll see you next week on Off-Brand . On Point .
