Kathy Willis is a PhD candidate at the University of Tasmania and CSIRO's Marine Debris team. Her research focuses on preventing litter from the land entering the marine system. In this chat, we discuss Australian local government waste abatement policies, outreach programs and infrastructure and their effectiveness at reducing waste in the marine environment.
