Saildrone has been a marine drone maker for a few years now. They had their autonomous drones go out and cover record distances. Now, with the Saildrone Surveyor they are taking on new functions within marine research and meteorological research. In short, they are also able to gather all kinds of data which they share in real time via satellite to the HQ on ground.
