Episode description

In this episode, we talk to Bella Blue, creator & headmistress of The New Orleans School of Burlesque & Bella Blue Productions, where she produces numerous burlesque & variety shows each week, including "Whiskey & Rhinestones," "The Dirty Dime Peep Show," "Strip Roulette," and more! Bella is an award-winning international burlesque performer, who has both performed and produced at The Burlesque Hall of Fame, and is regularly recognized as one of the Top 50 Burlesque Performers in the World by 21st Century Burlesque. We get to hear about Bella's burlesque origin story, including what it was like starting burlesque 13 years ago in New Orleans as a young single mother. We learn about how the scene has grown since then, about Bella's work to make it a more inclusive and safer environment for marginalized groups, what being a famous scantily clad person/mom is like, and much more!
