A former top aide to New York Gov. Kathy Hochul was arrested and charged with acting as an illegal agent of the Chinese communist regime. Federal prosecutors said Linda Sun used her state positions to subtly advance Beijing’s agenda in exchange for financial benefits worth millions of dollars.

According to new research from the intelligence company Graphika, a Chinese social media influence operation is allegedly impersonating U.S. voters. The operation is mocking politicians and spreading divisive messages ahead of the November presidential election.

Ukraine said at least 51 people were killed and over 230 were injured after a Russian missile attack hit a regional capital. This came as Russian President Vladimir Putin received a red-carpet welcome in Mongolia. The country ignored calls to arrest him on a warrant from the International Criminal Court.
