The Justice Department disclosed a foiled murder-for-hire plot by the Iranian regime to assassinate President-elect Donald Trump. Federal authorities charged an Iranian who remains in Iran.

The federal judge overseeing Trump's January 6th election case cancelled all court deadlines. The case is on hold as special counsel Jack Smith required more time to look into the next steps in light of Trump's victory.
