A federal appeals court on Thursday temporarily paused a lower court ruling that struck down President Donald Trump’s tariffs on a wide range of countries. The Trump administration earlier in the day told the federal appeals court in a filing that it would seek emergency relief with the U.S. Supreme Court as soon as Friday if it did not act quickly to pause the lower court decision.

The White House confirmed that Israel has accepted a new proposal for a cease-fire from U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff and that the proposal has been submitted to Hamas. The terrorist group, meanwhile, said it “was reviewing the new Witkoff proposal.”

A federal judge said she would extend an order blocking the Trump administration from immediately revoking Harvard University's ability to enroll international students. And just a day before, Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that the United States will “aggressively revoke visas for Chinese students.”
