Hamas released four Israeli prisoners Saturday, all of whom were female soldiers. After being released, the four who are all between the ages of 19 and 20 rushed to embrace loved ones. Israel later released 200 Palestinian prisoners as part of the exchange.
Pete Hegseth was sworn in as the secretary of defense Saturday morning, just hours after Vice President JD Vance cast the tie-breaking vote in the Senate. The voting was almost exclusively along party lines, with three Republican senators joining all 47 Democrats in voting against his confirmation.
On his way back from visiting the disaster-struck Los Angeles area, President Donald Trump made a stop in Las Vegas Saturday to speak on how he plans to eliminate taxes on tips, and to thank the people of Nevada for his election win.
