The Football Episode

In this (now outdated) Euro 2020 football special, one football fanatic (Sam) tries to help explain the wonders of the beautiful game to someone who couldn't care less (Lewis) through the form of three football films; 1997's Fever Pitch, a rom-com starring Colin Firth about an obsessive supporter, the 2009 biopic The Damned United which sees Michael Sheen take on the larger-than-life character of Brian Clough during his short tenure at Leeds United and the 2019 documentary Diego Maradona which looks at the life, both on-pitch and in private, of the titular Argentinian footballer during his time at Napoli.
