A Grammy-nominated songwriter who has just put out a new book, called, “Dreams, Love, and Music Lifestyle Revised: The Soundtrack of My Life,” which follows the book she had put out in 2015. Along with the book, she is also releasing an album of songs that correlate to the chapter titles. At the beginning of her career she signed with Mecca Don/Elektra Entertainment Group and eventually performed on Soul Train and Show Time at the Apollo. She has worked and collaborated with Sean Diddy Combs, among other notable names, including having collaborated on a Mary J. Blige song. In addition to performing, she also does vocal coaching.
