Angelica and Miss Janetta Louise Johnson discuss their experiences as Black trans women and the challenges they have faced. They talk about the heyday of South Florida for trans women, the differences between then and now, and the importance of visibility and opportunities for the trans community. Miss Janetta shares her journey of transitioning out of sex work and incarceration and finding support from Miss Major. They also discuss the need for Black trans ownership and the work of the Transgender Gender Variant Intersex Justice Project (TGIJP) in providing services and opportunities for the community.
