Saving America Begins at Home!

Our team of missionaries go into jails , rehabs , parks , street corners , coffee houses and any place unchurched people gather . We present the true , untainted gospel . We ask questions and give answers as we conduct surveys . We do this so that you can make a true , informed decision about Jesus Christ . And today our topic is Saving America Begins At Home .

Hi friends , I'm Pastor Young and welcome to Not your Parents Religion Podcast . Today I want to talk to you about how we can save America . Our country is in a desperate situation that needs some radical changes if it is to survive .

I don't need to go into details about what is wrong in our country right now . We have plenty of people that can articulate and pontificate the problems that are plaguing America . Most observant Americans can diagnose the sicknesses in America , but only God can prescribe the cure . The cure

is simple, you turn back to God with your whole heart , mind , body and soul and then teach your young children about the Creator of the universe and His plan for mankind . Show your children from Scripture how God loves His creation and wants to have a personal relationship with each of us .

Show them how their self-worth , identity and value can be based on being a child of the loving God who created them . Show them from Scripture how God's standard of living is the ultimate rule , not society's ever-changing norms .

Show them how God's love and acceptance is not based on accomplishments or works , popularity or other people's opinion , but on us being a child of His .

Next, show them by example . Show them your redeemed life , living for God , a life that is not perfect, but is repentful when you recognize that you have deviated from God's standard .

Show your children that you follow and obey God's rules and standards because you love Him and want to do the things that please Him , and you know that God has the best plan for your life . After all, you yourself expect the same from your own children .

Lastly , let your children know that it is okay to need God's help in living this life . Show them from Scriptures how God will give every one of His children the ability to live according to God's standards , and that ability is the Holy Spirit .

Let them know that God does this because He loves His children and again , like you yourself , God doesn't make these rules to restrict our enjoyment in life , but to protect us from the pitfalls in life . Friends ,

let's go to the Scriptures to see examples of this whole process . In the book of Joshua , 24:15 , Joshua tells the people, " as for me and my household , we will serve the Lord . Luke 8 , verse 39 , jesus tells a man who has just been delivered to "return to thine own house and show how great things God has done unto thee .

John 4-35 shows us a man whose son had been delivered and his whole house also believed . Acts 16 , verse 15 shows us Lydia , a cellar of purple , believing Christ , and then her whole household also believing .

Acts 16 , verse 33 shows us a person in charge of the jail where Paul and his companion were being held receiving Christ , and then taking the disciples to his home where his whole family believed and received Christ . There are many more Scriptures that tell us to bring up our children in the training and in the instruction of the Lord .

Ephesians 6:4 , for example . Proverbs 22:6 says "tart children on the way they should go , and even when they are old , they will not turn from it . So

how is this going to save America ? Well , first , god , in His Word , promised to bless any nation that respects Him and puts Him first . Second , a nation that has a real relationship with the God of the Universe , knows and will accept His help in times of great turmoil .

A nation that will allow God to humble them and acknowledge its pride and ask for forgiveness God will elevate .

So what must we do ? The Scripture tells us that God counted all as sinners and further states that all have come short of pleasing God . So we all must repent , no matter how good we may think our lives are . Will you repent of your wrong and believe that Jesus is the only sacrifice for the forgiveness of your sins ?

Will you ask God to fill you with the free gift of the Holy Spirit that will give you the ability to live a life that is pleasing to Him ? If so , then do it now . My friends , if you've said this with a sincere heart , then the Bible lets us know that you have become a child of God .

Your journey toward a loving , growing , joyous relationship with God has begun . Next , I encourage you to do your research and find a Bible-believing , God-honoring , spirit-filled church to attend on a regular basis so that you can receive further instructions , fellowship and even correction .

The Bible tells us to be a part of corporate worship where we can continue to learn about Him . Don't forget , tell your children all about this new journey . Invite them to join you in worship with others at a church . When you're at home , tell them about Jesus and make time to learn the Bible and about God with your children .

Essentially , have a church service with your own children in your own home .
