You've seen it and heard it, so-called Christians displaying hate toward the LGBTQIA+ community. Does the Bible truly promote hate toward the LGBTQIA+ community, or is there a message of love and acceptance that's been overlooked?

Join me on this journey as I stand as an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community, debunking the misconception that Christianity promotes hate. We'll explore the importance of showing love, respect, and acceptance to all, even when we may disagree with their lifestyle choices. Remember, it's crucial to love the sinner, but not the sin, as God does with all of us.

Furthermore, we'll dive into the Lamb's Book of Life - a promise from God for those who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. If you're curious, have questions, or simply need clarification on this topic, don't hesitate to reach out. Speaker 1: Ever wonder how and if the Bible has relevance for today. On this podcast, we provide biblical answers to today's tough questions. Hi friends, I'm Pastor Robert Young. We have 30 plus years of church planting and mentoring other pastors, 30 plus years of training leaders in evangelism and discipleship. Our team of missionaries go into jails, rehabs, parks, street corners, coffee houses and any place unchurched people gather. We present the true, untainted gospel. We ask questions and give answers as we conduct surveys. We do this so that you can make a true, informed decision about Jesus Christ. And today our question is,  does the Bible promote hate toward the LGBTQIA+ community? We will tackle this question next on the podcast.

Hi friends, welcome back to the Not Your Parents Religion Podcast.

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be talking about a very touchy subject, a subject that we have been wanting to address for quite some time, and the month of June seems like a good time to do it, being that it is Pride Month. Does the Bible promote hate toward the LGBTQIA+ community? Let me start off by saying the answer is no. The Bible does not promote hate toward this community. Our theme scripture for today is John 316. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever would believe on Him would not perish but have everlasting life. That is letting us know that God loves everybody, the good, the bad, the ugly, his enemies, everybody. So, the LGBTQ community, we want you to know that God does not hate you, even though you may have run into some Christians who are hateful and just not very nice to the community. We want you to know, that not every Christian is that way. In fact, I took the liberty of preparing a written statement so that I don't get this wrong. I'm not just winging it. I have a prepared statement that I want to read off to this community to let them know that not all Christians are hateful hypocrites. And it simply goes. Hi, friends, I'm Pastor Robert Young from the Not Your Parents Religion Podcast and I want to address Pride Month.

Speaker 1: Pride Month is a time to recognize and honor the LGBTQIA+ community and their contributions to our society. It is a time where we acknowledge and celebrate their uniqueness and individuality, and it's a time to show love to all of those who have been marginalized and oppressed. As a Christian, I believe that we are all created in the image of God and that we should respect and love each other, no matter our differences. This is why I stand as an ally of the LGBTQIA plus community. Sadly, throughout history, many people, in the name of Christianity, have denied the rights and humanity of this community, which has caused significant harm and pain. This should not be the case. As Christians, we should love and accept everyone, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, race or any other aspect of their humanity. We should be more mindful of the words we use and the actions we take. We should strive to create a world free of bullying, discrimination and violence. It's essential to show love and support for those who have been marginalized and oppressed.

Speaker 1: I urge all Christians to stand in solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community, especially during Pride Month. Let's love our neighbors as ourselves and let's continue to work toward creating a society that embraces diversity and celebrates the beauty in all of us, the beauty that God put inside of us. And now, with that being said, to all my Christian brothers and sisters, you can literally disagree with someone, but not mistreat them. Let me say that again, you can literally disagree with someone, but not treat them like an enemy. If we are to win people for Christ, no matter what you may think their sin, then coming at them with hate, hateful words, denying their humanity, denying that they exist, denying that they can get access to to basic healthcare, committing acts of violence toward them, whether it be physical, verbal put downs or any such thing. That is not something that Jesus would do.

Speaker 1: We need to come from a standpoint of love because it's true, God loves everyone, and if God loves everyone, does this community fit into that? Of course they do. So if you are a Christian, accept this person's humanity, if you have someone in your family or your circle, that is a part of this community, and one day, hopefully, we will stop separating ourselves by communities and colors and and economic status and  educational attainment status, but you can accept that person and love them as that old saying that we Christians have, and have had for a while,  love the sinner, but hate the sin. Do not hate the person. It is not our job to hate the person. That's if there's any type of hate, because we just don't know how to handle it,  once we get a hold of hate it's all downhill from there. So let's stop the hate and ask God to fill our hearts with love and compassion for everybody, regardless of what we may think their sin is. Someone in your family, in your circle, might be a part of this community. Reach out to them, show them respect, love them. You don't have to love the behavior if you disagree with it. You don't have to love their lifestyle if you disagree with it, but to deny that person's humanity is not something that Christ would do.

Speaker 1: Now listen, if you've been listening to the podcast for any length of time and you've made up in your mind, Okay, i get it, Pastor Young, I believe that this Jesus Christ has love. I believe that this Jesus Christ is, that he loves me. then, friends, i want you to say this sinners prayer, because we're all sinners at one point or another, for the Bible says none have done righteous, no, not one. We've all sinned and fallen short of pleasing God. Now we're on the other side of that fence, because we have Repented of our sins and asked God to come into our life as our savior and now we can partake of his full mercy, grace and Joy and all the other wonderful things that comes with knowing Jesus.

Speaker 1: Say this simple sinners prayer with me, father, I have sinned, I Have broken the relationship that you desire to have with me. I don't want to continue to do these things, but I want your love and understanding and your peace. I want to be in fellowship with you. I believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for the remission, the forgiveness of my sins, and I receive him now as my Lord and my Savior and God. I believe that you are filling me with the free gift of the Holy Ghost, so that he can remind me of the love that you have for me and the things that you have said. I receive him now in Jesus name, amen.

Speaker 1: Now, my friends, if you've said that with a sincere heart, the Bible let us know that your name has been written in a book in heaven, call the lambs book of life, and so if you need more information or clarification, then do not hesitate to get in contact with us in the ways to get in contact with us in the description box below. So until next time, from Not Your Parents Religion Podcast. I am your host, Pastor Robert Young, and may God bless you.
