Episode description

Laurie Kilmartin’s name is synonym to the word funny and been involved in iconic standup comedy driven shows such as Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn and a monologue writer for Conan O’Brien. She has a special “45 Jokes About My Dead Dad” is the one that I get to know her from. She tells the story of she got it into recording, having the show to be released in Seeso with her own effort and what she thought about the emotional side of chasing a dream of being a comic.

Writing monologue for Conan O’Brien and be able to involved with a very iconic standup comedy driven- panel show is also considered to be a very wild dream for many. She told us how she got involved and sharing stories working in both wildly different shows when it comes to structure. She shares the work in writing for Conan and how internet has changed the work for many writers. I am wondering about the amount of late night talk shows and how politics has become a staple and the also the many reasons why late night talk show format has become stale.

Of course, we share the same distrust with motivational speaker.
