Longo shares why mentoring is so important, not just to students, but for professionals too.

Jeffrey Longo completed his master’s degree in sports administration from Wingate University in 2012, and his bachelor’s degree in psychology and communication from Rutgers University in 1997. He has 18 years of experience in professional sports administration, including six seasons as president of the Charlotte Checkers (ECHL), and six seasons in senior management, including two years as president, with the San Diego Gulls (WCHL). Longo also served two seasons as vice president of marketing/community initiatives for the New Jersey Devils (NHL). He currently serves as a consultant to the Charlotte Checkers, working with senior management to develop marketing and sales strategies for corporate partnerships and ticket sales.
