1. Elde etmek, almak (to obtain, to receive)

* Örnek: "Did you get my message?" (Mesajımı aldın mı?)

2. Ulaşmak (to reach, to arrive at)

* Örnek: “Audrey just got home.”

3. Anlamak (to understand)

* Örnek: “I don’t get the joke.”

4. Olmak, hale gelmek (to become)

* Örnek: "It's getting cold." (Dışarısı soğuyor.)

5. Yapmak (to do, to perform)

* Örnek: “Get your homework done.”

6. Satın almak (to buy)

* Örnek: "I got a new phone.”

7. Yakalamak, ele geçirmek (to catch, to capture)

* Örnek: “I got the thief." (Hırsızı yakaladım.)

8. Hazırlamak (to prepare)

* Örnek: “Betty and I are gonna get dinner ready.”

9. Birini bir yere götürmek (to bring, to fetch)

* Örnek: "Can you get me some water?”

10. Bir şeyin yapılmasını sağlamak (to cause something to be done)

* Örnek: "I gotta get my car fixed." (Arabamın tamir edilmesi lazım.)
