Hello listener. It is my honour to announce that we've been nominated for a Crit award for Best Legacy Podcast 2025. Thank you so much to all of our supporters, all of our listeners, and of course everyone who nominated for us in the first round. If you'd like to help us win the category, there's a link in the podcast description. And now on with the show. Last time on no latency. I was going to say, what's that supposed to mean? But actually in this case, yeah.
Do you still think he's hot, Vivi? I don't know how to answer that question. That itself is the answer. Fine back here. Whoa. Right, let's head into jail. Yeah, let's. A sudden nympho. Doctor Glass. Who the hell is Doctor Glass? Just a guy. That's a. Clone. The clone works at a hot dog stand. Yeah, Anyway, in in my ear. What were you saying? I. Don't know what Maelstrom is doing with all these guys. Vivi, what you just told me is not a clone.
Don't look do good. Don't think he's going to be much harm to anyone. Is thus a mutant. That's. Why the other guy died do. Not show him that give. Him a peaceful out if he wants it, I. Could, yes. Not until we transfer his debt to us. Hey, Iona. Damn. Do you have anybody fuel bite? I don't have any on me, but there are some back at the lab. I mean, we do have some. Oh that is true. Domino is made of body fuel bite. As is a germ. Wait, wait. Made of.
It's not important right now, Germ. I, I don't have time to explain. You could feed a little bit of Domino to this person feed, that's the option. Or we could go back to the lab. Well, I guess we don't really have a choice right now. This guy, the clone guy, he could be saved if we give it to him. So I think we should help. Hey buddy, I'm going to help you. So I don't see my blind. I take the blindfold off. Oh God. Hi, I'm I'm I'm a doctor and I'm here to help.
And he looks at you from the ground with awe. Behind you, near the door, the fluorescent light is causing a Halo effect around you and you see him well up with tears as he looks you in your face. My guardian Angel, you're not a male. Strip. Wait, are we going to live? You are going to live, Yes. What? Yes. You're just going to stitch me up, doc.
Yes, it's a little bit of a complicated process, but it's OK. It will be quick and you will be able to be on your way and go back to your hot dog stand for. Your non citizen? Oh fuck, what the fuck is that? This is Domino and he's just going to feed you a little something. Is he it? Maelstrom is that. No. Not no thank you fee fee. The maelstrom their kaput. Kaput. Yeah, they're gone. Oh no, where'd they go? Oh, Oh, no, wait, are you like a sympathizer? No, I was just being sarcastic.
I don't know, I'm under a lot of stress. All right, fair enough. They're all dead. Oh fuck. They're all dead, said the executive as his head pops up. Yeah, and oh, wouldn't it be interesting, buddy, if, you know, just saying us, my, me and my chums. What if we didn't want to let you go? Maybe, maybe you give us a couple. You relax. You were like you Mr. Exec me. You know, that biotechnical story was a nice story, OK, but I think we're not going to let you go. OK, shit.
Well, it's not like. You, you don't even know who I am so. I think I know. Oh. God, Mark Ziger. DV touch a cigar. Yeah. Mark. Mark Ziger. Fuck. Oh, oh. What is his position at Biotechnica? He's. Middle management. His is in office there. Phoebe, if you really want to get under his skin, telling me doesn't have the bureaucracy skills to get him out of middle management. What's it like to be the middle management at Biotechnica, Mark?
Oh, fuck. I don't know if you're going to be able to get out of there and move up the latter I. Think. Cool. Plus reputation plus 1D10. Oh, I did not roll well. I forgot it's VB helps people. That's my reputation. That's what I wrote. Right, so you rolled A15I rolled dice on the table. He has a base of 10 for this this cool and his reputation, but he did roll a three. So he rolls under you and is now incredibly intimidated. Every role you have against this guy for the rest of this
encounter is minus. One now, Mark, I think before me and my chums let you go, Maybe you pay, pay up that ransom money you were talking about. Yeah, I think, I think we'll be taking it. OK. I mean, you know, they say that having a a. A chairman. In, in, in, in in the corporate sector is like useful. Yeah, well, I might know a couple. Oh, OK. But it's not you. Well, this. Problem is I can't pay all of my debt. Can I just give you the money I have? How much you got? 2000.
Well, human perception. What is he O? Role local expert to find out Iona. Got it, got it, got it. Got. It. Human Perception 12 You believe him? Yes, yes, I'm going to see if Iona. I'm trying to find can whisper in my ear. She happens. She's like, no, I. Think on Roll 20. You're local. Yeah, there. You go. I got it. Yeah. 17 he owes $4000 you. Guys, take it. 2000 eddies, huh? See if you can squeeze anymore out of him, but honestly take it
and cut him loose, yeah. Yeah, I think you're right. Well, I mean, look, I could just, I could see your, your arm looks like it is partially fractured from being tied up like this. You know, I could just take the arm and turn that into a full break. What that would that would take at least 8 to 12 weeks. Jesus Christ. That would take at least 8 to 12 weeks to recover, as opposed to the four to six weeks of the fracture. Well, I mean, I, I, I have biotechnical insurance, they pay 30%.
Well, it's your funeral. And I walk toward his arm. Roll persuasion, he gets a negative, but roll persuasion it's. Just such a pass I don't have. This this is so good. This is. OK. All right, he has. All right, so it's this +8. Yeah, this +8. Gosh. He rolled a. Flat 0. OK, OK, OK. Look, I owe 4000, I told this but I don't have it. I've only got like 2500 in my account so you can just fucking have it. All right, send me the 2500. OK, I won't forget this, you know.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Get out of here. OK, he fucking hobbles out. Can you? Not to be like me. You're a doctor. I hurt. I toss him a an air hypo with a stem in it. Fuck. He gives him 1D6 health, he injects it into his arm, he threw it. He gives him 2 HP. That's so pathetic. So like, what's that worth it? He throws the hypo on the ground after transferring you 2 1/2 grand. Was it worth it?
Iona as the guy. The guy is moving past Vanna White. If you want him to not see you, you have to roll stealth and so does Mendel all. Right can. Do. Oh no. He locks eyes with you in the van and gives you a weird look and you turn to look for Vendel and Vendel is hiding. Why are you not hiding? He saw you. Yes, he did. What what is what is his last name again? Bendel. Zeiger. Zeiger. All right, I'm. I'm putting this in my tile right now.
If anything comes up with him through e-mail, through any notification, through work, we are immediately going after him. OK. He didn't see me though, so let's remember that. Good, good. I'll, I'll write that down in my notebook of, of things that I'd notice while we're out on missions. That's a good plan. Old players should do that. The GM that makes the GM really happy. I don't really have a notebook. It's a sticky note that I found in my my bag. Don't, don't tell, don't tell
the GM that. Let him think that you have a dedicated notebook for the game that you love and play. Fuck me, don't share me the post kit. That's the worst. It'll it'll go in the notebook which I do have. Wait, you guys. Might use a Word document. Iona after after failing to hide from this, we're going back to VV over this tied up math. Hello, Sir. OK. Now just go ahead and Domino, can you actually how? Yeah. Possibly the combat. Knife. Oh, oh, sure.
Yeah, I wasn't going to use it. Thank you. He doesn't have flesh hands, so Domino undoes a bit of a shirt, revealing his strong seek underneath. Cuts a line on his left Peck, collecting the blood on the side of the blade. How? Much does it need the baby? He honestly just like just a little vial's worth is probably fine. May I have a vial? Yes, here you go. Thank. You. And he drips some blood into a vial, filling it to, you know, a few millilitres of blood. And he hands it back to you.
Thank you. Do you need and I have a gauze like bandage for the cut? No. Need to be there. Draws the blood across on one of his cybernetic fingers and licks it and the wound heals in front of you. Tis what a flesh wound. Yep, OK. What the fuck? Now listen, please don't be alarmed. I'm going to need you to drink this now. Can I? Can I ask your name? My name. Yes. I'm. Arthur, Arthur, Arthur, you there's no real easy way to put this You were part of a tragic
experiment. What you are OK, however, however, there you may feel a bit different because as part of this experiment, which by the way I wasn't involved in, but I did find somebody else during my studies that had this happen to them. So that's how I know how to take care of you and cure you and everything like that. Will I get better? You will you will get better in some ways. But Jeb, can you, can you just grab me like a mirror? I think there was 1.
Jeb, you're standing right next to a mirror. There is a sink in this room and a mirror to your left. Yeah, hold on one SEC off the wall. I'll, I'll just hold it for you. I'll be like a yeah, right. Is is. This now, Yes, that's good. This may be alarming. You have not tilted the mirror towards him yet. Jeb, you're waiting for VB Signal. Yes. But as part of this, this process, it was a gene splicing kind of process, your body was altered to look like somebody
else. So you do not look like yourself anymore. OK. But you are still conscious. Your consciousness is still yourself. So I'm going to show you now what you look like. Jeb, can you just move the mirror? Yeah. Whoa, whoa, whoa. He's still turned up, so he's trying to like, move around. Wait. No, I have hair, yes. I'm not sure if this is like a good reaction or a bad reaction. Well, I'm not being funny, but I was just a guy who sold hot dogs. I wasn't exactly like a spring chicken.
Yeah. What the fuck? Big. Nose. Who is this guy? He was all reversible, right? I could go back to being me. I don't know if I if I give him this, it's not going to revert him back. He'll forever be this. Unfortunately, no. You are forever changed. Oh, is it a bad face? No, it, it, I think it's a great face, I think. He'll give my job back. No one's going to recognize me. I've got no money. I can't get into my bank account because I'm assuming I don't have my original fingerprints.
Well. That's a lot of problems that I can't help with because I'm a doctor. It's not as if you had some money give. Him, give him the money. Give him the money we just extorted from Mark Tiger. Here, Sir. Do you give him the full 2500? You don't have to. I'll give him 2000. Fair. 500 is my medical bill. He is. Still tied up though and you have not cured him so he is still going to die at this current point. Phoebe. Yes. How much does facial reconstruction cost? Oh.
How much would that cost? It's probably expensive. The cheap one is 1000 Eddies corporate level ones like seven 1750. If you want a street doc to take care of it and might not be the best, 1000. If you want like the good, good. If you like 7000. Maybe give them an additional 2000, I'll pay you back. Yeah, we're all calling in here. Have you heard him yet? Have you heard? Him yet? No, you should probably. Do that. OK, OK. Yes, yes, yes, Sir. Arthur. OK.
In order for so part of this process as well you right now our terminal. However, what this you just need to drink this and you will be fine. It's. It's that guy's blood. Yes, and it has regener. It has regenerative properties to it, so it will take care of you. Retro's made his way in here now, OK. Yes. So it has regenerative properties. It will help you. And then once that happens, my friends and I have decided to
help you out. We're going to give you a bit of money to take care of yourself and you can be on your way, Will. You untie me. I'm very uncomfortable. Yeah, sorry about that. You untie him? Yeah. Sorry about that. OK, yes, so just obviously you need your hand to drink this vial, so here you go. He. Gets up and sits on a chair in this room. OK, I mean, if you say so. Yes. And he and he opens his mouth. Yeah, it's. A little nasty, but you'll be all right. Do you pour it in or hand it
over? I hand it to him but I make sure he drinks it and if he doesn't then. I'm gonna. He takes a sip. All. Of it. All of it. Yeah, it's not that much. It's only a vial. What the fuck is going on? Why does that suddenly taste like BBQ sauce? For giving him Domino's blood. Yeah, I hope you like, I hope you like BBQ sauce. I'm going to be honest, all you really got to like the whole kind of BBQ culture and taste. If that's not really your thing, this whole thing is really going
to be a huge curse. And you maybe what? What are you doing here? Black lines from his neck cascade through the skin that is exposed and a click. Oh God. I've seen you some injuries underneath. His clothes close up and he straightens his back. Whoa, that's great. Yes, yes, retro. He's no longer terminal and won't die in the next week or two. He will live is. There like any side effects? Do I have to worry about anything? Yes, there is one side effect. Pretty big fucking side effect.
Well, you might. Either that or Death Retro. You may crave. I can't. I thought it at first. I thought it was blood, but I think you craved flesh. It's any organic flesh. You could just eat. So wait, you're you could just eat hot dogs and be good? I can eat hot dogs to like, heal. I don't know if hot dogs are actually flesh, but some sort of organic flesh. OK, do you know how fucked up that sounds? Yes, but what happened to you was fucked up. Right. So you're just going to give me
money and let me go? Yep, yeah, here, buddy. I'm going to go to the guy. I'm going to be like here guy, here's 3000 Eddies don't get your face fixed. Whoa, All right, No one's ever been this nice to me. No one tips the hot dog guy so. Well, I'm doing it for your out of some little wow like ethics I have left. Look, here's the thing. You have to go get your face changed immediately. All right, first thing you go do, go get it changed. Where? Where do I go? Who? Who's good? Phoebe.
I don't know the corporate. Check the garden. I'm sure that there's going to be reviews, but you go get your face changed, Phoebe. I mean, yeah, he could. He could go to Sawtooth. Who's who's got a card? Who's got softest card? I have, I do, but I'm oh good. Here you go, I'm. All the way in the back. We we know a guy, go to him. Go ahead now. Like right now. Go. Right now. Go. OK, I can just leave. It's nice to meet you. Thanks for letting me drink your blood.
You're very welcome. Enjoy the rest of your life. Yes, resist the hunger, human. What the nothing? And he walks out to the building, leaving you all alone. Maybe. What the fuck are we doing here? Are we starting the coven of vampires? Maybe we are retro. He was going to die. That's like what, three people now that have this? It's only three. Well, not including. All the. Test subjects that we've had in mind. I should.
Tell that, shouldn't I? I'm just saying we're bringing so far, except for Jeb, that's two people right now that we've brought from the brink or death back to life with this. You tell me it's not vampirism. And we that's close. The the, the part that we're missing here is that they don't have to eat humans. They can eat plants they can eat. It's organic flesh. It's not plant like fiber. They have to. And you know, organic is expensive.
Unless they're catching rats out there, it's going to be very difficult. Cut, Seriously. Cut to Arthur in in an alleyway Crouch. Eating a rat? Start eating a rat. So he this guy sounds extremely dangerous. He's gene therapying people, people into mutants to make his own organs. If he this guy didn't get his face changed, someone was going to notice him because he is somewhat famous so. But he he has the cure. What you got, Yes, you got to stop.
We hit the cure is in him somewhere, so we could figure that out, right? The injection was something so we could try to figure that out from that, but like, we need to stop making vampires, all right? I I agree, but look, there was it was really not like neither option was good. Like I could have let the guy to die. I mean, that could have been an option. We could go kill him now if you want. I just want to say. This fate.
I just want to say this like I trust Jeb not to go ahead and start feeding himself to other people. Appreciate that. Domino honestly in flesh form now, still forming an opinion. If it was not flesh form, it'd be different. Right. Don't know this guy from Adam. You're going to tell me that this? Guy. His name was Arthur. Sorry.
Well, we could keep tabs on him. I'm just saying there's this, there's thing in my brain right now that's making me think at some point there's going to be a ravenous fucking cult group of vampires feeding off each other. People force feeding. Like if Jeb was to be a true Dick and just started cutting flesh and force feeding at the people, how bad is this? I. Hear you go true. I hear you. And you're right. We shouldn't take this lightly. I mean, it's just one guy.
I will not. If there is somebody on the brink of death, I will not go to the alternate to save them by turning them into a ravenous Flesh eater, or they're not even ravenous, but they're but a flesh eater. I will not if somebody including any of you and Body Fuel Bite is the only cure. Well, actually, let's let's make a pact right now. Iona Retro Vendel, If any of the three of you are on the brink of death, would you want to become a flesh heater? God, no, not yet.
No. I'm going to tell you it's not amazing, but it's not terrible. OK, I'd always If it means saving everyone, then actually yes. OK. I'll be honest with you Vivi, I know I'm a piece of shit, drug addled son of a bitch. I don't trust myself not to at some point snap, so I would rather have that not be an option. OK. All right. I think that's fair. And now that we know Bendel is the only one who would consider it.
If that happens, we will not go to that alternative method, nor will I look to that method for other people. But you can with me if it's safe to run and I don't mind. Yes, yes. What did you do out here? Yeah, well, like we know the OP of every Maelstrom group I went searching for where, you know, the little hive of, you know, was it the harvesting cyberwear? You didn't find a lot, you found
a cyber arm and a cider hand. The rest is all car parts because that's what these guys mostly dealt in. It was Gavin Cars. Well, I took what I can from that and then I also tried to see what I could off that computer, but the data is still a bit fragmented for me all. Right, you do. You found a Dick load of scrap. I just rolled very high. That's yeah, dude, I just rolled. I rolled two 10's and a four. So I'm going to give you 240 scrap from all of the parts and
stuff here. There's a shit ton of strap. And to cyber where you say? It's a cyber cyber arm and A and a very, very generic cyber hand. Not a tool hand, just a cyber hand. The computer had a little information, not a lot. They'd lent 4 grand to Mark Zeiger and the clones were listed as stolen from a medical facility. They say which medical facility. Right, you'd have to roll for that. I'm I'm rolling to see if it said what medical facility and where that's at. Cool. 32 yes, it's called
medical warehouse. It's a medical. Warehouse. That's where I get my plastic gloves. It's a subcontractor for medical procedures, usually high exact level. Even with that electronic security tech, you have no idea where the building is. But I got a name. It's called Medical Warehouse. Right. All right, Domino, I think you have the right idea. Time to remove ourselves. We got the vending machine. Don't revenge. Yeah, but now I'm down at 25,000
at ease. 2025 thousand. Journey into the world of Frostborn, the newest arc of Dungeons at Randomness takes place 100. Years after our last. Meaning it's a perfect time to jump into the show. A small group of adventurers embark on an epic. Tale of rebuilding and revenge. In the magically frostbitten world of Tharia, they'll struggle to stay alive in harsh conditions as they call in every. Favor they have in. Order to get payback against a
corrupt king. New audio and video episodes are posted every Monday, and you can even. Help the group build the settlement as. Part of our discord. Find us on Spotify. YouTube or wherever you get your podcasts. The endless Winter. Has finally come. So you're telling me that you could have, like, you could have been fun of this entire operation for the past God knows how long, but I seem to remember that everyone thought that I was
the rich one. Yeah, that's kind of the point, Jeb. Is to be. Wait, what's the point? Well, I'm not famous. I don't flash my money around. I save it, I invest it, and I keep under the radar. OK. So then nobody knows that I got money. Are you saving this 25K for something retro? Yeah, yeah, wait until I can get just enough so I can get a big gold statue of myself. Footwear. Arisaka used to say it. Would be a radiated retro. But it would still be. Cool.
Valid. And who's going to go and steal an irradiated gold statue? Retro This is Night City. The answer to that is everyone. Which only makes me that much more famous. Are you not seeing the pattern here? I'm trying to set up here? Come on. Understood. OK, so we've learned that Retro has a lot of money. We have a vending machine. Yes.
Which, you know, Domino, you haven't really told us what the whole point of this vending machine thing is like while we're bringing it back to the bar, like what's is there a is there a purpose? Is there a plan? We haven't let in on it. Jeb just a little bit more forward so the elevator can descend. Oh yeah, no. Problem. You'll feel the elevator clink as you start to descend into the
bar in the vehicle. Well, I am aware that we have been using the same information screens etcetera for planning our machinations of the city. It was not. Entering into skin space has been an adjustment and frankly, this was easier inside the net. Yeah, the real world is tough. This is true. So I'm bringing some of the net to the real world. And how? How does that help the real world, exactly?
And more specifically, how does it help you know us, presumably your only friends in the real world? Domino opens up the side of the van and starts to pull the vending machine out, carrying it on their own with their forearms. Retro and he. Slams it down on the table with the screen facing up. Now you put that in the large table. Please just detach the front half and install it.
Yeah, sure. I'll be honest, I thought you just had a real hankering for a certain type of snack cake and that's why we're going for it. But all right. Be careful as you detach the screen, you could destroy the few items that are left inside. Oh is there anything I need to know? Does it need to be fully re grounded? No, it is unplugged. Are we plug and play here or are we having to go through soldering? We will have to do some soldering once it's on the table, but we're fine for now.
Electronic security tech, Yeah. So you're undoing the screws around the outside of the screen. Around the outside. Around the outside. There's a plastic bevel and you can see it's got some prototype marks on it and the the this is obviously one of the first of run of this model of vending machine because after the first batch they glue the screen to the front to save money. Yeah, I'm obviously using some rubber size rubberized tool. So yes, I'm not scratching and breaking anything.
Excellent. And as you sort of lift up the side, you've rolled high enough that you see the little ribbon cables and stuff, and you don't tear those and you unhook them very carefully. And then Domino helps you carry it over to the big table, which has a screen in it, but it's just a screen. It's not a touch screen. It's not holographic. Just 2D. It's like a. It's like a one of them.
It's like the big billboard that for for like draft through Adams when you're working at a McDonald's, tells you like what's coming up. What you have to do next? Stole this screen that's in the table right now. Yes, Jeb, Exactly. Right. OK, OK. But. We're going to throw it away. Do you want a television? Oh, no, But that's all right. Right Retro. And he lifts up the screen. If you could remove the one in the table. OK, I was really caring if somebody wants it. I mean I could use it for
something you. Can show them Is it bigger than your TV at home? No. All right, you remove it. You're all 29. You do a pretty good job. You don't scratch it, but it is a delaminated screen so it's not very sturdy and you remove it and place it down. I'm really just using it for parts. I'm probably not going to be using the screen, honestly. I mean, I could have been trying to use it for my TV at home, but my TV at home is like my actual
wall. Like I converted my wall into ATV screen by just connecting a bunch of LEDs together. So it's, I mean, it's not hollow, which, you know, I know a lot. Of that sounds. Really cool. Why'd you never invite us to your apartment? You never ask. It's sauna, isn't it? Oh, you never ask? Oh, then it's the nice reason. That's fine. I mean, originally it was because Sano and Sano hated having people over. You get 38 scrap from removing that screen. Thank you.
You're welcome. And then Domino in lays the screen into the table, uses one of their cyber fingers to open up the bevel just a little bit, and it slots in. Then they start along with retro plugging things on the underside. I know that so. Go ahead. Oh, we both were going to talk to each other, kismet. Ha ha ha. What? What was it? Domino? Stop it. Ha ha. This is this is very funny. You, as anyone, tell you, just a little gesture.
I've been practising my comedy. Good job, I'm proud of you. Thank you. We're fine. Did we? Did we steal a vending machine because you wanted a new scream? Yes. We we killed people. Yes, but that was unrelated. So true, very true. I mean. And also they were previous antagonists. Well, I guess. We won't be seeing any more of them, huh? Absolutely not. And what were you going to say, Domino? I was going to say this is much like the tables you use in your corporate meetings. Oh yes.
That's the aesthetic I'm going for. Oh, I like it so. Just to be clear, we did like a whole hast job thing for you and it was for interior decoration purposes. Yes, yes, it was. A laugh. It is different now, yes. Hey also we stole. We stole that vetting machine because thanks to Retro not destroying the objects inside, it's full of plushies. Well, expected a bigger reaction from Vivi, but OK. Plushies. Did someone feel like oh Domino got me something? Oh no. So I said plushies.
Well, there's a bright side to all of this. We've we've dealt with our maelstrom problem. So. That's true. That's a pretty big bonus. And we have this blood that could be a cure for cyber rejection, cyber rejection. So that's also good. Yes. We learned a little bit more about this, you know, Doctor Glass Fellow. So it wasn't just getting a vending machine for an aesthetic reason. Well, I mean. What was the other reason? Taking care of Maelstrom and dealing and getting the blood,
not the yes. To be clear, though, the vending machine kind of had nothing to do with us really lapping out the. Yeah. I mean that's all coincidental, honestly, look, I don't know why all of you are complaining domino. I'm all for it, all right, really it was as easy. It was supposed to be an easy job and you're still paying us. So I don't know why they're complaining. This is why you guys don't have any money.
I'm. Not complaining, I'm just trying to clarify the importance of of purpose it it's important, but I don't know what to tell you. Retro The table needs extra bandwidth. Could you lay some cable? Did I say that in the funny way? Yes. I would I would say so. Good. I was implying you know. You. Are doing work with with a penis, yes. Oh oh, like laying some pad? You said laying cable. I was under the understanding that laying pipe was taking a dookie. Who taught domino the word?
Who taught Domino Dookie? It wasn't me. Oh God, not him. Oh, hi, hi, hi. No, I, I've been. Alone. I'm sorry. No, no, no one's asked. About me in ages. I. Can make jumps. Bike drives and everything. Just reminding you I'm I'm I'm going to go and hack hack my existential Drake now. Good, he's gone.
We should really check out the Nine's capabilities a little bit more in depth because I think that there's a whole system we're not utilizing here and who knows what our next mission may be. That's that's exactly what this
table is for. For 9. No. Or is it for, is this kind of the thing where we can all like get around and we can vote on what the next job's going to be and there's going to be kind of a post in and, you know, maybe like 5 or 6 different options and we can go in and no, no, that's not it. One of one of the benefits of this is that it's programmable, so in theory, yes. Oh. Retro roll another check to lay the cable. I'm trying to find Dick. Damn 29. That's my metaphorical 1. Excellent.
And with a final clunk, the data speed for the download of this table increases and you see finally it reach 100%. It is at this point that the screen goes dark and for a moment. Or consider that maybe this has gotten rather wrong. Oh. Shit, Windows Update again, no. No, they normally do this right. They they load and they update and then they restart themselves. Yeah, wait five more hours. For it to restart, I don't think that's going to happen.
No for all the updates. That might be true. You got to choose. You do have to choose also. Very immersive. Very, very immersive. I'm immersed. Where'd all these stickers come from? Now we have to go get some fucking gooby gone now. I mean, I don't mind. It kind of adds to the whole aesthetic. You know, we could start putting our own stickers down there and it kind of reminds us of all the missions that we've been doing. What would be the sticker for the last mission?
Oh, like the maelstrom symbol, but like, bloody. That's pretty good. What? What else could we make into? A what else? What else could we make into a sticker like the Vanna White would make a great sticker. Oh, absolutely, yeah. Just as long as we don't do one for a body fuel bite we don't need. To be No, I kind of veto that
one. Now, as as you're talking over it, it finally boots up and there in the middle of this table is a map of Night City. Domino touches it once and a display shows up of all of your districts telling you the various locations of Night City. OK, I'm seeing it. We are here. Domino touches a little corner of Little Europe. Chicks out. Yeah, that's where I thought we were. That's us. And our various other friends. Clive's The Bubble Cafe. OK. Sorties. Yeah, uh huh.
Taylor's every location we've ever been to is here on this table. What? So, So what you're saying is like you just kind of recreated Agps? Yes, in a sense. OK. And and and how is this different than like our our data pad? This is something that we can use dynamically to locate our ultimate enemy. Despite my level of power, discovering the location of the Syndicate has eluded me. Like God's eye. Exactly. This is how you locate things. This is how you locate things.
We're going to have to triangulate the city. Oh. What? Oh, OK. In order to find out where they're hiding, we'll have to set up some sort of device in a few places in the city. We'll have to agitate an AI somewhere and get them to send a signal, and then we'll finally have our revenge. OK, I think it's brilliant. Is that brilliant? I can't tell. Is that brilliant? It's brilliant. OK, yeah, I love that. But also this table is now prim as fark. That well, hey, that's true,
Very true. Next time on no latency. I don't see it. You know, as long as we got three of them up somewhere, we're good. They are smarter than we fear. Narrow it down, potentially later. Like, are they able to be subtle or do we think that they're like over the top? Finding them is going to be harder than you think. Put their machines in them places. DV grabs one too and and lights one in the. Bar. Oh, clandestine. OK, Jeb has occasionally used a big word like that.
That sounds like a plan. Oh. Do you hear that? It gets a bonus. Nice. Dingle Lingle Jingle Ling slot machines slot machines. I don't know. Are you? Are you alright? Excuse me, let's get in there. You should come have a shot of moonshine with me. Yeah, I'll take one. Wow, yeah, look at that. No. You know, I really thought you're going to get something there, Iona. That is a tough one. Again. Again. Full of shit. You're full of shit. I'm back to looking over your shoulders.
Yeah, best to play it safe. Knock people. They stuck last time, they're going to hit this time for fun. Thank you listener once again for joining us here at No Latency.
