Tracy's hosting sir. Oh, so I am taking it right from the beginning. I was thinking, okay, A little intro. Hello, everybody and welcome to our no latency podcast Q&A. Whoo! We got the whole cast here. Y'all finished season 1. How do you, how do you feel? I feel, yeah. Well, I'm a little bit relieved release. We worked on this story for a long time and it's, you know, it's it's hard when something comes to an end. Always. Yeah.

How long. Yeah, I started, we started, we started broadcasting it on March, 3rd 2021. And we started recording it about two months, prior to that. So, a year and a half, Wow, more. Wow. So we have a lot of questions for all of you. By the way. Hi, everybody. I'm Tracy also known as magitek mismatch Tech. I've guessed it on the show quite a bit, so if you might have seen me on the most recent racing racing for Joy. So that was a lot of fun.

But I'm here to talk to the cast and kind of take some of the questions that you all have submitted either. On patreon or other means of the internet's and ask the cast about the season. So I'm going to go ahead and jump into it and we will just go through all these questions and just have a good chat. So let's start with I really like this. I really like some of these submitted questions here. I'm going to start with this one. From Aaron who said what was the

inspiration behind? Everyone's characters? To start. We'll start, we'll start with the character talk. Who wants to go first? Well, I'll go first. I had no idea. I I don't know what happened, but I kind of let everybody else pick their class first. And what was left was like La man. And corpo and there was no way I was gonna be a Lawman. So I don't know. Ioi, based her off of the woman who did the blood thing. But she's she tanked a whole company. Oh my god. Oh yes!

What's that sore nose? Yes. Yes. Was that her name or is that the only Any? No idea. We thought you were. But that yeah, the story about the pill thing. The tiny amount of blood in the machine and it didn't work. Yes. Anyways based off of that woman. I actually have no idea what you're talking about so if you want to tell me more about I'll pull it up. I'll pull it up. Hold up. We'll come back to that inspiration in a second I guess. Well I might my inspiration.

I think is pretty clear. It's a cowboy. and I did a very similar thing to Jade which was you know wait until everyone else did their thing and then be like okay what we got left and I saw no mad and like I think the the kind of I think it's fun to take something that's not normally in the genre and kind of force its way into the Champs are just beat the living hell out of it until it's works in the genre that you're in and yeah, having like a fun like, you know, gun-slinging cowboy in

a cyberpunk city, I think is fun and kind of plays against type and I already knew that I was going to be like the butt of the joke. I always knew it was going to be like the Comic relief, the more, the less serious of the group. I already knew that was going to be my, my stick, and then to just add that on with gun-slinging. Cowboy, just seemed like a fun time and so far it has been Yeah. I was into a lot of Japanese research at the time was going away, goes to Shima.

And so the main guy from that I think was my inspiration wanting to be sort of like a street, Samurai working for arisaka wielding, the sword going around killing people. It was kind of. That was about. So yeah, those me. So you were like, you were like, what if goes to tsushima in cyberpunk and I was like what if Red Dead Redemption to instead? Yeah. I mean, mine was more of like just kind of a lucky pick to be

honest. I when I got asked to do it, I immediately ran and made like I think five different characters from five different jobs and just was like, hey, which one do you think would work best and We just kind of came to the Assumption after I heard most of everyone else's, I was like, okay, I'm just going to pick the tech because everyone beg the other ones, just kind of were already picked by everyone else. And when I was thinking about making my character, I was like,

all right, what's the best game? Breaking way to handle it? So that way it just annoys RDM and was like, I'm just going to take a mix of an old anime that I had recently watched called Dead Leaves. Dad. Leave. Okay yeah and I'm going to make my character based off of them. I have gotten asked before if it's based off of saga Saga. Yeah. Which so I had no idea about and in all honestly, I had never read Saga. I hadn't heard about Saga until it started. The show, and Kendall was like,

are you based off of saga? I was like, what's that? But eventually I did. By Saga at Comic-Con. So I now have it. No, I'm only one chapter in so, no spoilers. So that was the the TV head inspiration. I was dead that leaves. It was definitely throwing candy, right? Like yes his name is retro you. What about the, what about the names? Did you all have like naming characters? To me is always, like, very

difficult. I also steal, I usually steal from like The Witcher, when my DD paired, I always feel like character names. So, do you, do you all have like a method for Like, going about naming the character. Well, I just, I just find somebody just shows something that seemed to be the most. I wanted something because I knew look, here's the thing about names in RPGs is that everyone shortens their name? You happy always have a long name and there's a short version of that.

So I knew that I had to have that baked in and I just tried to find the most like old-timey name that I could and Jebediah sound like sounded like the right move. And then that shortens the Jeb which I think is great. And then to name Sloan that one was actually way harder. I fight. I got Jebediah in my head and was like, boom, that's it. It's done, but naming slow. And there's a little tougher because I wanted it to be

something different. I want to be like, a not, I didn't want it to be like, Kathy, like Sarah. I wanted to be something a little more level, more Mystique in there and I think I nailed it was slow. Hmm, that's all. Yeah, it is night City and like a lot of times too, especially with like cyberpunk, you kind of have, like, met you Might have a real name but you also have a handle so you know it's also interesting. Iona, doesn't get shortened ever leave me after, why?

I mean, I know with my 90 like I had again, just stolen it from Dead Leaves as well, which was a kind of, more of a happenstance. I had already came up with the idea of having my characters nickname, being retro before the TV head deal because I was already kind of thinking of having them being this kind of Stoner, ish, you know, Mad Alchemist wizard of tack But you know kind of you know how pot smokers can consistently make anything out of a big and make a bong out of a vcr.

And I had came up with the name. I just wanted to have a really interesting name so I had found an old Creole because that was the idea to have retro be Creole and it was going with ra ra Mingus Ortiz. Otherwise, shortened to Remy. And I also kind of like, I know, for me, I like having characters that do have nicknames, but I don't like having cool nicknames because of anybody who's ever had a nickname. Realizes you don't get a nickname for being cool.

And badass a nickname is always because of something stupid. You did or something funny that happened to you. That's what a nickname is based off of. So that's why I like creating a nickname that's more based off of an event for the character thick. Yeah, I do remember I can't bassano I just I think it is made it a, the sounded cool. Yeah and they had a code name that was like straight edge or something but that sounds really dumb. So like and died so quickly.

I like a bit like episode 1 is really straight edge it's still in its still in that episode. Yeah but then it was like Hey I use a katana. I think I'd have a straightest something How did you come up with Iona? I decided that I wanted her to be Romanian and then I looked up Romanian names. Okay. That's why I own has are just a generic Romanian name and popescu is the most common last name in Romania.

Wow. Okay, so we talked a little bit, you know, about your characters but more specifically I want to ask now about your character arcs this season. So a question from patreon from Pirate rabbit, Sim asked, what does everybody think about their character arcs? What Arc? Just this season overall.

Something. If there are any specific arcs that you're like, I had this my character went through this during this time and, yeah, you know, I think there's there's something interesting that happens when playing RPGs with people, like, when you first start a campaign. And I think that is that the arc that everyone goes through, is learning where they sit in the group, dynamic, you know, No, and that means sometimes it happens immediately.

Sometimes it takes the entire session or the entire season, and sometimes it happens in a few episodes, right?

And I think that, I think that the way I started playing Jeb was pretty kind of, you know, are headed e kind of immediately but it was it was this interesting thing that happened, where I started to feel that that Jeb's placed in the group dynamic was the, like, sit back and hit him hard, like, hit him hard with the jokes and then like get back and like, let everyone else take the spot for a bit and it was kind of weird.

Once I had a whole Arc of like, becoming a bit of a celebrity and like learning to like Drive in the Death Race. And when I had to be like, The front stage, I was like, oh wow, this is like, I haven't really done this in this show much, and that was interesting from a kind of meta standpoint, that's the best I could do for commenting on a, on a season wide park.

Yeah. So Noah's Ark is very interesting because it's very internal of him, you know, very clearly having a goal to hit arisaka and the learning he was created by arisaka like in more ways than one because he was a clone and that was really interesting we're all playing challenge of how am I able to verbalize the internal struggles

that Sano is going through? And I thought it was very fun to play out and they very much wanted early on for Sano to make the sacrifice play because I feel like that's exactly what he would do and especially learning that he was a clone. And really literally built from like the evil methods of this company that he was like yeah, this is my goal in life. To to do this and also really learning to really appreciate

everybody on the crew. I think going from very standoffish to very, very friendly and bantery to everyone especially retro which we had a whole, you listen to the patriarch. I got a whole sitcom together where we bonded through that a lot, too. So, I think I really like saw knows, I really love the shy. I like kind of aggressive, type character, opening up and becoming for that. I love that joke in. Animes like opening up to everybody else and making

friends. Yeah, it was really fun to play. Anybody else have a? Yeah well I mean I know for for Remy Remy I don't think really had much of like an arc within our first season maybe because I think I was still trying to figure what Remy wants and needs were as well as I feel like kind of creating more of a Bonds with the rest of the characters.

I mean I know that I think I've maybe created some Mark stuff with Iona as we've had our reactions for certain things, you know, I mean like I think if we're going to go off a main arcs, would probably be the sanno and retro show on patreon for most of stuff, and the kind of bonding that we had there in all honesty for out of the stuff. I feel like if we're talking about this, I Few very much of our characters kind of more in a in.

Yeah, somewhat of a sitcom e way of our characters reacting to each other of like the sitcom Friends, you know, I saw Jeb being very much of a Phoebe and I own a very much Ross, Sano was a Monica, and my character, of course was a Chandler. So of course, of course, I don't agree. Just one point, one point you did get it. Duck. That was pretty cool. I think the duck carcass, you know.

Yes I do. No duck to duck very simple, but right fast, I I liked having characters that were slightly different stages of their Arc because retro and I oh no both had stuff that happened before the main podcast started and it was fun bringing that back. Really, genuinely not talking about it and just letting you guys role play that in the moment that was super great. Yeah, it's I think it's always interesting to start any campaign with at least two

characters knowing each other. So the fact that we had actual like live play experience, where we met each other, that is recorded and available somewhere. I don't know where on the patreon, it's pinned at the top as the Main thing. But yeah, and it built an interesting relationship, especially because Remy and Iona are two very, very different people. So adding since it was brought up by both Sano and retro, I figured I will ask this next question from supersonic miked.

So the the sanno and retro show what was the what was the inspiration for it? And and I guess for you binary and and for the cast, will we see something like this and more Side Quests for Susie to? Yeah, I really loved the idea. Once once we started playing and realize, oh, we are kind of opposites of each other. You are heavy Tech and I am heavy not Tech and trying and despised Tech in the same thing with like Jeb and I Onassis like the outside dirty environment

like inside clean. Corpo like all of us are like, op, complete opposites and so I thought it would be funny to be roommates with Remy and to have that. Bond us and also the thought on retro. So is this kind of out, runoff gag is like okay, what would they talk about? Pretty solid? We literally just did improv sessions together. There we did like, an hour of improv takes of us as our characters doing that. That was fun. It was really great and then they sent it to me and like,

half of them have a note? No, yeah. Bunch uncut footage out there, for sure. Yeah, I'm just like pits that just did not make it out there. Yeah. There's a few more to come in September. There's like one or two episodes. It's based off. You two are because we, we said something about, you two, being an Odd Couple, and then, we were like The Odd.

Couple gonna do it. What's good night, Adam, I had a live studio audience sound effects, there's like laughter and clapping and all of that kind of stuff. Yeah, it was, that's the part that makes me. Me I've been glad foremost when I've gone back to re-listen to him because for sure every time whenever we're recording, we're both, I think there's points where we just kind of, like,

hold for laughter. I think it's sometimes of like, we think this actual joke landed or not, And what will it will there be more for season 2? No be more but there won't be more Sano and ranchers true. Obviously any other any other like spin-off stuff that you think would be planned. I mean we did something with Jeb. We did. I look every cast one episode of the a Jana and Jeb show, fundraising goal silence, talking to Iona asking questions and trying to get like just

something out of her. And then just I own a being like one word answers and then silence I mean, it doesn't hate gym. No. But I think you've listened if you've listened to the series and it doesn't hate gym. I own a bought you a new duster. That's true. And cares about you. She cares about everybody. Yeah. Oh, Jeb cares about everyone equally and except for Except for who's Sloan who he loves above everyone, that's himself.

I would say, that's essentially what we spun off was the Jeb and Sloan show if you will but we're calling it The the Jeb Diaries and it's and Jeb no latency tales as well. Actually it ended up being. Yeah, no latency Tails. I had this great idea of calling. It Sloan lilyc wheeze. I think I said it's essentially a soliloquy said by Jeb recapping the The Arc told to slow slow. Yeah, it's brilliant. And I have been dashed of my creative voice. Yeah. And I animate that.

So it's on YouTube mid-september. So you can see that we're just constantly redoing old 60s 70s. Yes, TV shows. First one was The Odd Couple announcement Mouse, mr. Ed and we'll have a next Mister Ed, mr. Sok. Okay, let's see. Oh, there's a lot of good like questions related to The Players here, so now, that's right. Yeah, I okay, let's do this one. What was the biggest surprise

for each of the players? And for binary, I know this is sometimes hard to like, think about About, you have to kind of think back to things and but if there's anything that jumps out to anybody, like, oh yeah, this was a surprising moment or something. That surprised me. I have a question from supersonic, Mike. Thank you supersonic. I actually have a kind of a spin-off question off of that or a more of a pointed question off of that to De binary, which is it really seems like you.

You know, delicately planned. And intricately woven this story together from the beginning, how much of how much of the story did you have in mind and how much did you allow to spontaneously occur through our actions? I was really careful to let you guys do weird shit to get these vending machines. It's kind of like, that's that I was, that's going to be the freedom in my head because it has to end somewhere. So hopefully, it ends with them rescuing Domino. Hopefully, that was kind of my

loose thing. That's kind of the thing I want to happen at the end as a Storyteller and as a GM and the rest was like, here's a building and it's here. I wonder how they'll get it. Sometimes there was a puzzle that I thought might be fun. If somebody solved it and in a lot of the time you guys were a step ahead of where I expected you to be and then you would spend too long talking about it. Big surprise. I'm a clone that was a big one. That was huge. I totally did not see that

coming. That blew me away. That was for sure, that's my answer. Probably my favorite part though. It's a as I pulled the snot Total Recall. It's the other movie where the with the eyeball thing. Yeah, sixth day. No, no. Hardly consistent flavor. It's six. I think you can tell like how deep in the Clone they are. And I just mentioned that offhand and binary ran with it. Yeah. During the recording, I was

like, Googling, what? What a one was in binary code, so I could have the correct, binary code under his eye and stuff. It was fun. We do that. We did that a lot for season one. Where someone One players or me would come up with a good idea. But no, no, no, let's go back. That should be part of this and we've totally just retcon stuff because it's just more fun. Hmm, there's two in my mind for

sure. That I think we're like the big, the big reveals that caught me. The first one was this binary code that we get in these messages. We've we've been playing for, at least half the year so far Maybe Two thirds and hadn't really know. I, we kind of saw to the bottom but didn't really notice. It just thought it was more of an aesthetic.

And at one point there was like a bunch of messages that get thrown at us. And I was kind of reading them all over to make sure I got everything written down in my nose. And I started noticing that the binary and I'm were not the same. So then while in the middle of a session while we're recording and while we're playing, I am I've muted my mic and I just start typing here slain typing because I can't copy and paste

it because it's a picture file. I'm just I'm just like oh this is starting to say something here and I can't remember exactly which episode that was that it ended up coming out with but yeah, I think there was like a whole big bit where I was just like, somebody did trick, right? Chocking me at one point.

I think it might have got caught up and I was like, she's quite, I'm trying to actually break this binary, then there was the second one for surprised even though the biggest surprise I got was that when the second one which was my favorite because I absolutely had no idea what's going to happen and come and I don't think anybody did. But the Improv was the couch at Steve mansion, Because you're welcome for that. Yeah, that's about in the blooper reel, by the way.

So I was just, I was just trying to be my character and being kind of a klepto. I like, I'm the kind of person as a gamer who ravages through everything to get all the items to put in the bag. Right.

So I was like there's a couch, you know, I'm sure there's like a couple of Eddie's that are probably found in there and of course, when we split the group what happens, And we get a nice improv between Iona and Sato of what terrible things that I've not now happened is couch, and now they've all become Cannon

and I can't do anything. I just have to sit back and react to it now because of it, that one's my favorite because that wouldn't genuine caught me by surprise and in all honesty was extremely funny because I can, I couldn't do anything about it. I think it's probably one of my favorite bits on the show is that even though it is For sure pulling. So surprised. That's for sure, very, very bullying. What about you, binary? Did you have any surprise

moments as a GM? I have my favorite moments that I have watched these people, enjoy. And honestly, one of my favorites was when Iona found Dash in space, station X. Sorry, not space station in station X. It was It is it is so exciting to be like hey I've got kind of a skeleton of a story where you add the meat, you know, as a GM this is kind of like here, do something with it. That's fun that I don't expect to it'll be fun. And so go ahead and I would just

J just knocked out of the park. Whoo-hoo, Dash is dashes from the original one shot rotten heart of was not a part of the only space system. Wow. Yeah, that was my first assistant, who was Nice.

But even without context of that you still get from the episode and from that moment that this person is important and that like previous circumstances doesn't need someone to sort of stand there and give Exposition it came out in there in the story and the way that that moment happened, it was just really fun. It was really fun to edit to one of those moments that I edited and cried at the same time, really good? That's awesome.

It was one of my favorites. And then I suppose that's one of them. And then the other one was when, when Evan found the binary code, but also found it while we weren't recording and waiting for something to download like

in a little picture. So, Kendall, this question is for you, since you brought it up in this past question about surprises, supersonic also asked did Kendall decide Sano is a clone at the beginning or did that did like did that come up organically or was that like just don't think that was a surprise. Hey, no, latency listeners, it's

spoon. I play Jeb here on no latency, but I also produce the brand new show system switch, and it's called systems which because every few episodes we take our same beloved characters and throw them into a completely new universe in the form of a new role. Playing game. Will go from steampunk to cyberpunk from fantasy, to sci-fi from romantic comedy too. Dark comedy from D, and D 2 Call of Cthulhu and everything in between. So join us on our wrong through the Multiverse. Bye sir.

In for system, switch on your favorite podcasting app. The ho yeah, it was a big surprise. Binary, ask me. There is something I want to do. That might change your backstory. Are you cool with it? I was like, yeah, I'm super cool that I love anything like that. That like my husband rethink. Super cool, makes me rethink how you view your reality. I think any time that affects the character, it's always interesting because it's automatically dramatic.

So, yeah, I love Of that. And I knew something was coming but I didn't know his call and when it came up it was like that's cool. Yeah, that was fun. Yeah. And for the record, I we, we knew Kendall was gonna die. All of us did, but the thing with the Clone and all of his story being involved, like I

said to Kendall, what can I do? And Kendall said something along the lines of do whatever you want, which is a dangerous thing to say to a GM. He's also a very good GM for the record so he knew what I was getting into and I had a lot of fun playing with your history and like, Leaving. It's a bit deeper into the story. Was fun. Thank you.

Yeah, I like that, it's nice. Like, when there's that I was, I guess, like, giving like the trust where it's like, okay, I'll leave it in your hands and tell the story and it's that's one of my favorite things about like tabletop role-playing and telling a good story together is when you can entrust that and and do that collaborative storytelling. So it's pretty cool. I really like that.

So I'm going through most of like these deeper player questions and then we can kind kind of move into some different questions, but another question for all the players and even the GM anything that you Anything you'd want to do differently, if you could do it again in this season and this question comes from swirly ink. So is there anything this past season that you think you would do differently if you could do it again? It's a deep one.

I like it deep Planters. Some probably not spit moonshine into a fireball. You don't know until you try. I I do have something I would change and that is Sloane was like a huge part of my character, the very beginning and like it was so awesome having this. It was so helpful to role play when there's something so grounded. And so like this stake in the ground that you can always tie yourself back to, you know, and

so it was great for that. And then as soon as she was like healed, it was like whoop and then she was just gone and she hardly came into To play afterwards. And so I definitely wish I would have played with Sloan a little bit more and had more of a relationship there because I think that's a fun. It's a fun Dynamic to have and you'll end because of that, I think you'll see a lot more slow and season 2. I wish that I had rolled more sanitizer checks. I like it again.

It was a part of my character that we established and then didn't really use so that we used a lot later in the season. And from the recordings of the beginning of this season, we have already started incorporating it. A lot more It said it was such a fun home breathing to put together. We've had a lot of fun with like Ramen Homebrew things. We just want to make up an ad. Yeah, yeah, I think I wish I interacted with then do more.

I think there was a relationship that was building there that. Well, I don't know. I feel like that could have could have played more into that and we could have had more conversations but I think the character to was a bit afraid to do that because he kind of knew he would wanted to make a Sacrifice by so he was kind of keeping away purposely to so don't know if I change that but maybe find find more places where that could more organically happen, makes sense.

Anything for Remy. Well, not really, I don't think there's really anything that I would want to change. Perfect, perfect. I'm regrets. No one thinks about making changes is because, you know, something didn't go your way and you kind of wanted more than likely a better reaction to it for me going playing in this

game. There were a lot of things that definitely did not go my way or things that went a lot of our ways but I don't want to change anything because even though there were some definitely difficult intense times while playing, this is one of the times in playing with the group. We're very in a very quick time and I think comparably for playing wise, I realized that our Styles and our trust in each other was Exemplar me, Exemplar me.

I can't even say it right now. I'm so overcome with emotion with it. We don't know. I think there's times when people playing wise with like things that you want to do or things with your character. And I know that they're very much of the this is what my character would do. But I think a lot of times within the game that nobody ever stopped anybody from making a character Choice with their character or put them really. Down for the choices that they did with their character.

And I think everybody had trust within that we're not purposely trying to ruin the game or hurt each other or anything like that, and still be able to have moments of tents emotion, or anger, or just anything that's just well above a comfort level, but trust within our style of playing and within our style of improving recording, That we're not hurting each other, we all know, and trust each other. That this is just the game.

The show, the story that we are telling, and that we can suffer, whatever little small indignities or big indignities that we can after a while. We can go back and still be friends afterwards. So no I don't think there's anything. I would want to change, I will accept everything, that's bad, that's happened. Because that's who we become now to sum it up. No regards. Yeah. Which and Breezy asked a similar question to this where it has anyone every decision. Has anyone ever made a decision

or role that they regret it? That's not that you call my favorite decisions are the ones that screw things up. I yeah, I love being the one that's like I'm gonna make a soup decision because decisions are great, you know it's great or it fails horribly and that just makes for an even better story. Like it's boring. Just to see everyone. Like it's funny because you know, you roll and you're like, oh, hooray.

Even on this planet, I insane Panda, sanitizer roll, hooray, it's green on the screen but like it's so much more fun when shit goes awry and like you have and you're like just in deeper shit now and the problem is just just compounding on itself and you have to Rack your brain to figure out some way to get out of it. That's a that's that story. I don't know. I I I regret in station, 19, like turning on Remy so much, it really marred our relationship.

And I don't I I as a player did not understand what like Evan was doing as a kid as a character and and it kind of fucked up the whole relationship. And now it's it's really interesting because we have a relationship based off of that. But at the time I was like God damn it. I wish that person understood

what you were doing. If I'm going to say any rules that I feel I regret our any successes that we got for hand sanitizer and I wanted to see that thing for them are plenty of times in which sanitized always, I don't and every single one has been genuine and every single one has been at a perfect time for it to happen. It just been, it really don't like it, I know. But it's also just one of my favorite things is I'm always just hoping to role play alone. We effect. I love rules one.

Any, any other regrets that anybody wants to share? Now, yellow. Okay. And you're dead now so that life but worked out really well. Okay, so I'm going to switch it up and start talking about some like more show questions and then we'll go to some sad so no questions and then we'll do some fun general questions. So let's let's change it up and talk about. Like the show itself and the system because there's quite a

few questions about that. So the first question is from that gamer Ajax so what Drew you to using cyberpunk for the system, I'm curious myself. What what was the the draw to cyberpunk red? I wanted to play it. Okay. I wanted to play. I did I did I was like I want to play it and layers that the players also like what? Or was it more like you binary like we're doing cyberpunk red. Kind of I got invited to be on

Save the Date by Evan sorry. Bye jayde and then Evan and I started chatting it was like oh hey if you want to do a one shot for their patreon and I was like yeah sure. And I was like the only do they indeed he was like that. Do I do cyberpunk read? And I was like, yeah. And so, we did, and it was really fun. And then after that, I was like, I really enjoyed editing it, it's very long. It's on the patreon mind.

I really enjoyed editing it. And then I was like, I wanna keep doing it. And I asked some of the players and most them said, yes. The other was like, hey, I'm just too busy. And I was like, okay, please have fun. Thank you for being part of this and then we brought a spoon and Kendall on him. And then we made a show and it was fun, we should. But the system itself, I it. But I started reading about because the video game and I'm not embarrassed about that.

Hmm. And so you, you all started no latency. What do you remember? The this is very specific, the month and year because I remember when cyberpunk read, first launch, and I'm wondering, how long after we would technically playing the jumpstart kit. So me January of twenty, twenty one twenty Twenty-One okay? Yeah. So actually, so it can 2020 very late 2008. Came out in 22 like late 2020. Yeah. So you got you guys probably started like, right? Just before Christmas. We started actually.

It was still, it was still when we started. Yeah. Yeah. So you guys rude. They're like for a while. Yeah. Yeah. Right in the beginning. When cyberpunk red just was getting very popular. So that's pretty cool. So You, I know you've said that by now that takes a very long time to, to go through these. And this is another question, I'm kind of curious about how long does it take to edit the episodes from a from a Marie and Breezy? And do you have a favorite sound effect that you use?

Because you do you all use a lot of folks, are we use facts. So II. Thought I had an answer for that. My favorite sound effect, but I actually realized what my favorite sound effect is which I'll answer. Secondly, it takes me. When I first started doing this, it took me about 14 hours to edit an episode. And doesn't take nearly that long anymore and takes about six six to eight, depending on what if it's, a really heavy episode. And I usually break that up into

about two sessions. And my favorite sound effect. I was going to say there's this like crash, clang noise that I use a lot and I kind of like slow it down and speed it up, but actually it's it's the drop hit, Bam! Bam! It's the musical drop. Hit that we have in the beginning at the end of every episode was it's just like pretty. It is pretty good and and it's very distinctive and I really, really liked it. That's the thing.

It's unusual. It's funny because like, I when we were at the, when we're at Comic-Con at the pan, And you played what you're going to look it up on YouTube. You can? Yeah, hey, and you played more of the song than normal because like I hear it, we all hear the like intro, right? And then it like, it's going and you're like, and you're like, there's more to the sun. It's like, kind of like so funny. And then it goes and it gets crazy. Anyway, I did it. Who did that song?

Because it's available on, it's available on, it's available on iTunes and I'll put the name of the band in the comments of this video and the show notes I don't like it right to them. It's about. Yeah, yeah. No. My favorite sound effects is whenever I make a sound effect and then binary uses it in the show that's those are always my favorite. Jeb hits the show up button on that thing that's broken in the show. It's like this, horrible grinding noise but it's actually Jade going, right.

Baba. Oh my gosh, that's so great. Yeah. Binary got mad at me in the first few, like runs of the show like the first because I kept doing my own sound effects. He's like you gotta stop and those they can make all the time. It's become a Trope now. So we just leave in like jab? No more Darkness, Booyah, more. The song is called grit and chips by t-shirts and Sweats. There it is. Cool off to listen to it. So binary, when you like I have to ask this is of, Tracy question.

Do you like honestly editing podcasts is like such a task and do you like set aside time like do you schedule your calendar every week? Like this is my time and do like force yourself to do it. Because, I mean, you you all are like very scheduled and it's like You will release the episodes. So it's like do you like that to me? That requires a lot of discipline. So I'm just curious for you.

Like how you do what you like? You make sure like every Sunday I'm doing this and that's it. I find a time before we've now built up. A decent backlog which has been really nice because I can like spend a bit more time editing and so it takes I make sure I get one done a week and that keeps me ahead. Yeah I'm pretty proud that we have always had an episode come out on Wednesday whether it's a side quest. A blooper reel or a regular

episode. We've always had something come out, that's, and unfortunately, he's really need to do that for like algorithms and stuff. Yes, yes, it's consistency is hard and you guys have managed to keep that consistency. So that's very admirable honestly about eighty, five episodes, all told, including this, I think. Yeah, that's that's amazing because it's not easy. A lot of content, especially like when you have like, things like full-time jobs and other things that you have to manage,

it is just Not easy. Oh, it's a struggle. So that's awesome. I was just curious. Okay, so do you all plan on ever doing live streams or recording without an audience? So that's one thing video. Yeah that's actually or only. Oh so do you plan on doing laughter? This is another supersonic Mike, thanks for all your questions by boss. Thanks Mike. Do you plan on? Okay, I'll ask this part and then the second part will do you plan on ever doing live streams for no latency.

Do no drop and we did we did we did we did a live panel. This is true. The answer I got was that was normally maybe maybe. I don't know. I think possibly like a side quest. Could be fun or you know something like that that we could do a livestream about The main, the main story is very much focused on being an edited radio play experience, set in the cyberpunk world where we improvise over the game. And I think that's what that's our kind of fingerprint on this.

Now, I don't know, I don't know if this is someone that's going to already asked this question, but I would imagine that people are probably curious as to how much is cut. Okay? How much is Al 22%? Yeah, about 22%. Oh, that's just about. Yeah, it's very specific number. Which one is it? I cut a lot of arms on ours. A lot of Silence because I'll show sounds really tight, but actually we have a little bit of a stream DeLay. So I just tighten that up.

I get rid of a lot from everyone, lets me than anyone else because I forget because I just had my invoice number. Yeah, shut up me. I'm just trying to find you guys. Yeah, so about 22% on episodes where there's a lot of fighting Ting. It's even more than that usually, like 35 % crazy. How much do you, how much do you cut like entire B? Only the initiative talked more than anything else. That makes sense. That makes sense.

Yeah, pretty sure listening to it, most B stay in and the rest of them are in a folder called bloopers and I'm slowly releasing those as well. I do Wonder like, Or rather I should say. It's important to note that like, I don't think we ever re-recorded anything or like, you know, we're like, wow, we didn't like that. Let's try it again. Which I don't assume think is a bad thing if you did do that. But I don't think we've ever done that. Hmm, no, it's good for like,

just general. Like what it's like to because for me I saw I mean I've never besides this done a podcast actual play A a table top. So it is interesting and like if there's ever issues it's like, well, we'll do, we just go back and do the upgrades of the episode is like now. Like that's good that, you know, you guys just we've gone back on Tiny moments, where it's like, oh, actually no, this is no, let's have this character be here and I was like, oh yeah,

great. And we've done that house. All right, I fumbled up that line. Yeah, yeah, we've done that too. Yeah, which yeah, you can do it. You have a lot more leeway to do that. When you're pre-recording stuff, you can go back, you need to do this Lively. Look like We have to go back. It's true. So livestreams, probably maybe, but it seems like yeah, recordings or special occasion. Yeah. So another general question, do you use a VT virtual tabletop during the gameplay?

And if so, is it just for For quick reference, do players move, the token, Storyteller move, the tokens as it usually go for y'all. When you're playing on your vtt, I have a hot take that I will tell after after after binary goes into the details, we use roll20. I make kind of maps that are kind of pseudo Maps.

They aren't on a grid and I've made tokens for everyone and you guys move them around sometimes, usually when positioning in the room is important, but most of the time you role played by late looking at the map as if you're in. Space at least from my perspective I'm but I like there to be something for the players to see even though we're an audio only experience and a lot of those Maps end up on our patreon hashtags to Shameless plug. Hmm. My heart.

Take my heart take is that cyberpunk. Red is very tactical and relies heavily on on combat and because that if we didn't plan on a VT it would be kind of weird. Yeah. I could not wrong even though you all have a lot of role play it, definitely. All you also have this amount of combat so yeah, it does help to have a map. Map. I've noticed also when running session punk red. Yeah, that is a good question. Okay. So against going through these more technical questions, okay?

This is some kind of similar to what we had earlier. So, how did you end up doing cyberpunk? Red with follow-up? Did anyone play cyberpunk prior to this? No, nope. Well, I still don't play cyberpunk. Okay, okay. Before the One-Shot I hadn't GM and at this Legacy really at all. Okay. And what was the first non D&D Pathfinder tabletop that everybody's played?

It's good question. Hmm. The first, yeah, the first first RPG that isn't the Indy or Pathfinder light in the dark lights in the dark, okay? It's been my dream. Yeah, that was really fun. I have a bit of a I've created I have an obsession with teachers parents and I have an entire book shelf full of different books that I've read, almost all of them.

And I've played about Owen. But I will say that the, actually, the very first TT RPG I ever played was a bastardization of D&D, but that was essentially just rolled just boiled down to me and my friends rolling a D20 and deciding what happens based off of the number that shows up, and we called it, dunge so nicely. Done, Tech like it done. Judge. I'm going to put that in season.

Awesome. I played red and Call of Cthulhu is really fun as a nice have more realism and mystery and creepiness in the games, I play on some fun, 10 candles, really good. Definitely, my god. Really fun time. Coming Halloween is coming up. I was just thinking that's a good time. Good time. Absolutely. We did it. Ten candles on, Save the da that. Yeah, Jay drat, I get a really good. Mmm. I think spoon was also my first non Dungeons and Dragons.

Pathfinder D&D. Rtt RPG, rather scum, and villainy. Awesome ability for save the date. And if I if I recall your character in that was V, just the letter V, which is funny like for various reasons because comment like, you know, cyberpunk and the cyberpunk. Also, also this Majid X

character on those pie crust. I didn't realize that I did I'd actually did hadn't put that together because her full name is Vivian. And then I just was like Vivi and then I realized that, yeah, that's all Cyberpunk - yeah. Yeah yeah. Okay. So last I think more technically question again, super soft super side. Thanks for all the questions. A lot of questions. You fossati chance. Yes, thank you. How did the idea of introducing fast? DND style healing, come into

play? That's low question. One talking is boring next. Slow, healing is boring to listen to. Yeah, we don't want to die and we got a gift. Also, we paid for art for these characters who, if they leave, they have to leave for a good reason. When you have the art, you're committed. That's yeah, if a carriage, is got really good art on a show, you're watching probably fine. Why they coming back? It has a little bit of pot over there but also because I mean it's what am I going to do?

Do every episode be like, and two weeks later after their legs and arms have been repaired? I could guess. But can we just assume that like the, the Domino job getting him getting back took a year? There was a Christmas moment. There was a Halloween moment, but it only took a year, but it did take time. I guess. I don't know. I think it's a really good question, but needs must, it was kind of boring to have like constant medical attention either.

Yeah, it's way more fun to make it narratively important. So it still feels valid in the world. Yeah, I think it just it also just subtly changes, the aesthetic, the vibe, the tone of the show. We're like, yeah, we could do it where it takes a few weeks to like, a more realistic gritty approach and that would totally change the tone where I think what the tone that we have now is a lot more jovial and like it's almost like you're watching

a like an anime, right? We're like heightened and fun. So Mmm. Yeah. Okay, so now we're going to jump into some fun lightning round questions. Okay. And patreon question from Pirate rabbit Sim, what's everyone's favorite vending machine location? The one at the bar, what's the crews brunch orders? This is from go, go low, low stream, brunch orders. My favorite vending machine, that's a wheatgrass shots. Yeah, mine was biotech, exil'd race.

Hard-boiled, eggs and chili. Benedict's straight up Ash Browns on side. This is mrs. Jeb's order, right? I guess not - I guess yeah, the entire life. So favorite recurring bit from swirly ink. Any recurring bits that are your favorite don't trust jab. Yeah, sound effects. Yeah, yeah. Steve. But Steve's here, these are good. The siccolas asks, what are some of your favorite quotes? Any any quotes? I like that. There's always a one lot, like some sort of great role for

bureaucracy. Okay. Okay. They go. That's a good one. A good one. That's one of my faves. And and do not get arisaka Prime. Yes. I feel like all of our buttons are pretty gold. So we went really hard enough buttons. It's kind of silly I mean, okay, hold on, don't listen to him. We do not work very hard on our buttons. They just they just happened and sometimes they're great. And sometimes you want to every website for my cost is fantastic. Listen to spoon.

How much money do y'all have? At the end of the season? Oh, exactly. Know how much money he has. He just knows it. I've lost money since then, I can't. But like, we're 15,000 Eddie's. I can't, unfortunately tell because I have quite a bit of funds in the stock market, and in some single bonds. So sad, sad. So no question. R.i.p., Sano says Google a stream. Does he have a drink named after him at the bar? If so, what's in it? It's the straight edge.

It's very nice and I think it's helping. I think it's hot sake. Hmm, that's the main species. Do you think we think, Kendall good. Would you add anything to that? Hmm, now, that sounds right. Yeah, maybe some mint mint. I'm not have to be a cocktail real ants. Spiders. Hot tea. So I gotta like a splash of Tabasco in it. Yeah, yes. Bronx. Like smash has Remy thought of a new brain case? A little less bulky and modern, oh, I kind of like that, what? No, you're not.

Does Iona know if Jeb will ever get over his cannibalism with B body fuel to see, have you not listened to season one? That was right. Yeah, Jeb is not a cannibal by choice. Let's go sometimes to get hungry the effects. Do not go away. Jeb chose to do something to Jose. To take it. Didn't he? Dug. And that turned him into a unwilling Hannibal? That was an excuse. Okay. Yeah, yeah. You'll be fine. You'll be fine. It should fade. It's true.

It will fade eventually kind of, I don't know. I just get that. We haven't got that far. This this last question from Bronx. Mash I like, well, well, I don't know, we'll see. We'll find every Dragon call me this little cowpoke and Vandals voice. If we meet in person, Okay, one last question. Well, we'll do like two more questions. So this again more an honor of Sano any favorite memories for Sano and he just rapid-fire Sano

memories. There was, it's like the first time that Sano and Iona are alone. And we're having a conversation like really close face-to-face City, sitting down and chairs in like the upstairs of no latency. And we're just talking about taking down arisaka. And I think that I really took Sano by surprise by, you know, letting him know that I was on his side even though I'm a blood sucking corpo and it like It was just so beautiful and it's my favorite moment with Sano. I do with you, too.

I mean, I have a couple. Most of them are usually in Sana and retro show, which I don't know if all of them have been released. So I don't want to let the surprise list. I think my favorite one again was in the very beginning when because me and Kendall, I've been friends for quite a while since college. And we kind of had discussed that Kendall's character was going to be technophobic and we do now Not like me because my

television had, right? And when we were in the van and just snarking on each other, on on dumbest things, there was a literal Point internally when we were playing like I hope he doesn't really, he's not really mad at me because this field jacket. It was like, I really thought that checked the do good with very very mad at me. Oh yeah, it was fun to Baker. Lots of bickering, that's fun. So last question, very less now that we're just about at the,

our Mark, for our little Q&A. So the last question I'll ask is now that Sano is gone or a piece on oh herb. So what are you all going to do for a new player? Or what's what's the next steps? Oh shit. I don't know. You want to do. Me. Yes, thank you everybody for these awesome questions. I almost got through all of them in an hour, so thank you. So many great questions will be back for season 2 and maybe I'll beat Joining This Crew. Maybe, yes, I am there's no. Listen cool, stop here.
