Transcript

Last time on no latency. It was a spacious train. Gangers. Heck, normal. That's probably not a good idea. I don't want to have a freak out before we get to the market. Oh no, we forgot to get sanitizer. Shut up, shut, shut up. Oh, you kind of smell like meat. Just. Shut it. Here we go. Why are they standing up now? Iona they they didn't, they didn't meet it. Please, please don't do it. I was so graciously letting you sit here because in fact you are on my train car. Please stay back.

I'm kicking him in the balls this. Is this is dangerous? The one place that they didn't grow him up. Hurts doesn't. It that guy's having a bad day? Yeah. He's not doing too great. We're. Going to patch you up. You're going to be OK, don't worry about it. I. Really didn't want to have to do this. It'll be quick and bind less bang back. All right, throw him off the train. What was that word you? Just used defenestration. What was that like? When you throw somebody through

a window. We've made it. So where? Where do we go from here? I guess we go shopping. Because of the vending machines, Yes. All right, and let's check out the vending machines. But also we are, you know, going to a night market. Oh, we are. We are going. Yeah, but I'm, you know, I got a bit of a sweet tooth and I can go for some ginger snaps. Wait, no, that's not what you're called. Gisner snaps. Yes, those are canonically sweet, right? I. I was going. To say I mean.

Or salted. I was going to snap it exactly. It's, it's a bit like salted caramel, you know, as if that now that if you look at the packet, it says now with extra jizz, it's that lovely sort of salty, sweet white stuff on top. They're they're frosted. The frosting's the best part. I just need to know if the jizzner snaps are going to satisfy my sweet tooth. I think so. You'll have to look at the vending machines.

Let's take a look. All right, you can look at the vending machines by rolling AD 10. Each of you can look for three things. Just roll 3D10. Very nice. Oh, so I had to use the restroom. Good. Roll me. So Jeb, you find a full row of spoiled boost, so it's dead. Most of the cans are empty that some of them have burst and it's kind of stained that side of the inside of the vending machine.

Then you find a an armour Jack little jacket for 150 eddies and inside the other vending machine you look in you find a disposable raincoak for 10 eddies. Now, is this a train station that we're in? Like is it does not get a lot of foot traffic? Why? Why is all this? Spoiled Jeb. You look to your right hand side and you see that the foot traffic entrance to this station has caved in. The only access to this station is via train or if you were brave enough to walk through the

tunnel. Now meaning that this over here is a tunnel or or the tunnel itself being the train tracks. Yeah, I think, I think the GM means the train tracks. Yeah, that's that's OK Din Tunnel. That's why. All right. So this this is just rebel. That's no, no way in or out. Yes, got it. Oh, look, there's kind of a face in the rubble if you look. That's accidental. That's funny. Oh yeah, I see it. There's this. Mouth I love how creative you. Are and then his forehead. Yeah.

But I'm, I'm really good at drawing, so I, I see the I see the silhouette. Oh, Vivi, what did you find? Vivi, you've found 10 ammo for 20 eddies. You found a trank dart, and you've found another armor Jack for 150, but because you rolled A10 you can roll again if you like. All right, five, you find a Taser boy plushy. Oh my. Gosh. It doesn't hurt anything, it's

just adorable. It's the little Taser boy mascot holding a little Taser that has a little piece of neon in it that lights up every few seconds. It's adorable. Oh my gosh, it's so cute. There's a little Taser boy plushy in there. It's 69 eddies. 69 eddies that's. Nice. That's so expensive, but I kind of want it. You have to have it. I do. You're right. All right, You know what 69 eddies it is.

And you charge 69 eddies and it gives you the last Taser boy plushy in the whole set of vending machines. Anybody need a tranq dart or ammo or anything? I mean, the important thing is I got this plushy, but you know, there are some other useful things in here. Iona has found a one shot Taser from the Taser Boy brand for 100 eddies. Another row of spoiled Boost and as you look all the cans of boost in these vending machines seems to all have exploded and has expired.

And then you found another tranc dart, so there are two and you get to roll again to roll the 10. How much is the tranc dart? 75 They come with a little pocket firing module so you can fire it through your pocket if you wanted to and you rolled a nine. So you have the choice of finding either another armour Jack or another clip of ammo for the Taser. Taser ammo and you get Taser ammo. How much? How much is the Taser ammo?

Taser ammo is forty 80s. All right, so I guess I'll pick up the Taser. Taser. Ammo. Cool so the Taser is 140 plus? Did you buy the track darts? No. OK that Taser boy. Plus she is so cute I. Mean it's a great, it's a great brand. What does Taser Boy look like? It's very akin to Fallout's Fallout Boy. Oh. Boy. Yeah. That's so cute. So that's all from the vending machines then, I guess little coast bike shopping, little decompression, that's good. Yes, quick question, GM yes.

How was it just two charge? Two charges? So the one charge of the Taser and then the the. Taser has four shots per clip. OK, eight Taser shots. But you'd have to reload after four, obviously. Is there a show off button? Yes. It's government mandated. Oh man, that's just show off button right? You're not just flashing with people. No no no, just a show off button. I don't actually think it Tases you, so I hit the show off button and put it to my hand.

Roller D 10. OK, we're about to find out. Nine, it does not. It's like, it's like putting your hands through a safety flame. Did did you want to be fake tased? I want to be yeah, do it. All right, show up button Buzz, buzz. No, I feel it. It's electric. Hey, wait, you didn't roll for that one? I should probably roll acting. Is that too much? Do I need to? I mean, I, I think that it was fantastic. Thank you. I was, I'm, I'm working really hard on lying. I mean acting 15.

It was very convincing. Jeb, you turn around and you can see just Iona electrocute in Vendel and then it looks. Like what are you doing? No, Jeb, it's a joke. Look. Vendel takes it and puts it up against Jeb's chest and pushes the button. Now let's see if they push the right button. Am I rolling for this? Yes, you should roll for this. I should roll. For this. Roll. What should I roll? Just a straight up D10 eight. No, no, it doesn't. It just, it tingles a little bit, Jeb.

I'd like to think that I mean, if, if there's a gun like, you know, Jeb has canonically very quick reflexes. So does Bendel. I feel like he would try to like that's true, like grab it. Yeah, OK. All right. Roll, roll something and no roll Evasion is what you have to roll. And I guess, I guess Vendel has to roll brawling. Sure, it's fucking credible. So you watch. You watch Jeb and Mandel both have a reactive matrix fight just for a second. Oh, no, wait.

No, Jeb, I'm kidding. Why are we? Oh my God, it's a joke. Jeb, Look. It's you can't just, you can't just pull a gun on me. My God, man. And then you slide away from each other. Ah, it's a joke. Look. Jeez, my heart's racing right now. I mean, I mean just like a like a mule at a, at a Coke festival. What? It's a show off button. I've never seen a mule at A at a Coke. Festival before festival. Well, this has been weird, so we're here. We are. I mean wherever here he is.

Station 0. Oh, I thought this was anywhere. No, the train kept going so. Is there? A train going anywhere? Then where are we? Station 0 The The thing starts in 10 minutes. Oh I mean there is a big zero spray painted on the wall over there. Yeah, there is. See. Oh, I thought that stood for Oh. No. I don't. I don't see it. Jep's doing Theatre of the Mind in a really great. Job let me take my glasses off real fast. Oh, I'm not wearing any glasses.

Glasses. Are you going to take your glasses off to look to, to make sure you see it all right? No, I was going to, I was going to like clear my glasses. You thought you were maybe wearing shades indoors. No, it was a joke. That might look cool, Iona. Sure I I I take the the shades out of my bag and put the shades on. So now our owner is wearing

shades inside. It's well lit enough that you can still see Jeb. You move over towards the abandoned bathroom door, step inside and you see it's filled with a few sinks and a bunch of stalls for bathrooms. And some of them are glowing. Yeah, the doors are. Don't go to the one all the way at the far right. I blew that sucker up. Oh, thank you for the warning. I will not get in there. Yeah. Jeb, do you want to look around the bathroom? Not really. OK, so.

I'm going to go ahead and come back out. There's nothing in the bathroom. Jeb takes a tertiary glance at the inside of the bathroom and returns to everyone at a door that just says STAFF only. It's unusually clean, unlike the rest of this room. It's found itself just in the corner, the very South of this large train platform. Well, there doesn't seem to be any other way out of here. So vandal, you want to just kick this bitch? Yeah, jab. Go for it.

Kick it. Oh no, Vandal's the one with the robot. Like I think they should do it. That is fair. You're. Going to give vandal the breach and clear. That's well, they'll get the breach, I'll get the clear. Do we? I mean, we've got a pass. Oh, oh do we. Is it? Is there like a little scanner here I'm? I'm not, no. I mean, we could knock up. I suppose. All right, that. Doesn't make sense. Staff doesn't knock. I'm knocking. I knock.

I own a knocks and you hear a voice on the other side and a little slat opens and there are a pair of eyes looking at you. Hello. How can I help? I I'm here for the market. Oh, you have one of the past things. I do I pull out my pass. Name. Iona Popescu. He points a little laser thing through the hole and it scans your pass and you can smell that it lets off a little of the blood into the air. Jeb, you were quite enamoured by this smell and it makes you think of bacon.

I only see the guy look at this thing through the slot all. Right, only two guests. Let me know when you've made your decision. Just knock again. Well, I suppose I'll be waiting for you guys out here. And Jeff goes over and sits on the couch. He knows he won't be a chosen. Well, we do need to think about what we need. I mean, heist wise. Oh. That's right, should we step away from the door so they don't hear our plan?

Probably yes. So you will gather around Jeb, who's sitting on one of these sofas. All right, well, who wants to come with me? Well, I mean I admit I would like to be involved, I just know that more than likely won't be too much help. In the past I've been bit of a nuisance. Well, how are we going to get it out? Have we considered that? Domino said it was in a vault and then that this was an old train station.

So maybe there's a way to disable the security system they talked about, because there's like security here, I think. And there'll be like a bunch of like executives because it's a bunch of executives from different companies, right? Right. So we're probably going to have to have a way for the executives to be distracted long enough away from the objects so that we can sneak into where the object is and take it, you know, basic heist shit. So we've got Sneaky team and. Distraction team.

And so for distraction I vote either VV or Jeb. And then I need retro. Well, maybe, maybe whatever team goes in, you know, traditionally through the front door, maybe they can keep a lookout and see if there's any sort of back way in and then let the other team know how to get in from a different why. I was going to say that I would suggest that Jeb would be on the Sneaky team because Jeb is the sneakiest of us all. This. Is very true. Well. Thank you. I appreciate that.

I. Don't think anybody can stealth as well as Jeb in in the team. All right. So I'm picking Remy and VV. Is that correct? And then Van Dell and Vendel and Jeb Dream Team. Hell yeah. And Dale. Have to. Oh, I mean again. Yeah. That's what I thought you said. Hell yeah. I thought you'd leave retro because it. Sounds like to disable the vault. OK, but what if we need tech things? That's why you got your job. You're smart. Wow, that's. Why we got you, Van Dale? You can.

You can like kick it with the robot lag. Right. Kick. It with the butt leg. Yeah, whatever tech is in our way, if it's not cooperating, you can kick it. I'm. Like, yeah, sure, reserve the right to call retro and do remote things. We're in the city now. We can use our satellite and stuff. That'll work. Call my friends. With your leg first, but no. Don't even look, guys, it's fine. I'll be on Team Jeb. I'm not.

I just, I wanted to see what the investor meeting was like and I've got biotechnical and I look, but it's fine. I'm gonna, I'm gonna record it. Don't worry. I I can also do I have a cyber eye? Yeah. I do, I just I always forget. I never use it for anything. Vendela, I can broadcast to you. It's it's, it's fine. Like you guys have fun in the room and it there's probably a lot of characters in there. It's probably best I go with Vendel. It's fine. You are Vendel.

I mean, Jeb, sorry, it's just my subconscious wanting to go solo. Solo mission window. We're going to have a great time. High 5. I'm going to turn on the broadcast feature of the Cyber Eye so Wendell can see their own face. I'm just going to leave the video on and if you need my attention I'm going to mute it. All right. I like to think that there's some sort of overlay like a Twitch stream. Like what does yours say, Iona?

It says ello Corpo and. And underneath it says confidential and it keeps flashing. And every time you every time you donate, a little Remy pops up and does a dance. Who donates? Am I meant to donate to this park? You get a you get a 10 Eddy donation from Vendel. Oh no, that's cute, that's funny, I like that. I don't. I don't fully get what the baby Thanos joke is, but it seems very funny.

Jeb. Jeb like donates so that his message can read, can be read out loud and it just says is this where I type in the message? Is this where I type in the message? You know that plays in my ear, right? Oh oh. And it cost you 5 eddies. Yeah. Oh, it's a donation. It's straight up. You get my 5. Eddies. Yeah, that's it. It's bits. It's straight money. Cool. And you're streaming to two viewers. Wow. It doesn't include yourself things. I mean, it's good that it's two viewers.

Let's be honest, Phoebe, unless you guys are going to watch, that's weird. You're going to go in there, aren't you? You guys have fun. Bye. Hold on. Well, we separate. Yeah, Team Jeb, what's the rule? I mean, there are a lot of rules. Which rules you're talking about specifically? We don't press buttons. Unless they are labeled, yes. All right. Unless close enough. Right, we don't press buttons. Full stop, Jeb.

I'll push buttons. Man, I mean, I would really appreciate it maybe if you could just tell me which buttons to push because I. Find you can push one button 11 button. Yeah, that's all I'm asking. I'm all I just want to get out of my system, you know, I see problems, I will want to press them buttons. Yeah, I'm sorry. I've got anxiety. The last time I went alone with you, we found a battery made of human beings. Yeah, it was eventful, I'd say. Eventful. Anyway guys, I'll see you later.

I'm going to go to the bathroom. Have fun both y'all now. Bye. Vendel goes off to the bathroom to cool off. I want Vendel to roll perception because they're in the bathroom and then you guys will get a message whether they find anything and then you can go back up to the door. Perception 14. OK. You'll find out soon. All right. Knock knock, knock. Hello. I have my 2 guests. All right, show your pass again. I hold up my pass. He points the little laser thing.

Careful, it's close to my eyes. You're going to be fine. All right, That's you and these your two guests. Correct. Good. All right. A panel on the door opens and it takes a photograph of the three of you quite quickly. You will feel the flash a little bit and then it closes. The door opens. Jeb is out of frame, so it does not see Jeb or Vendel. Just as we plan. All right. Welcome investor and you step into a large room. Across from you is a makeshift

bar tended by 1 bar person. There to your left is a woman sitting at a desk, and then to your right is a large conference table with three seats and five people already seated, meaning there are only three spots left. That's us. Check in with the desk. Oh, bless you, miss. Sorry, that was a big sneeze. I was three in one. It's. Crazy. Totally. Fine, Miss, Sorry you had three sneezes. Sorry, I'm Scott. I can mute my own sneezes. Well, well, well. How are you all It's? Nice to meet you.

Welcome to the investors. Thank you. I'm miss fruits. It's nice to meet you. Hello, Miss Fruits. I facilitate this particular way of doing business. Wonderful. Well, we're here to do business. Looking for an RPG podcast that isn't just D&D? Roll to. Cast is the answer. No, no, wait, sorry. What games have we played so far? Well. We've done Cyberpunk 2020. Oh. Catholo, Vampire the Masquerade. The Witcher. Kids on Bikes. Avatar Legends and Cyberpunk. Reds. Roll to cast. ROLE.

Oh, pardon me. Now the item tonight is the nuclear heart indented by some shut in somewhere in middle America. We killed him and we took his tech and now one of the corporations can invent it for good PR, you know, normal R&D. Yeah, totally getting past the patent system. Very clever. Register, find the invention before they register it, or find a crazy person who's invented something fantastic and milk it for all it's worth. Where do you think the orange

squares came from? I mean, that's genius. Making sure that they expire before they even have a chance to put it into the patent makes it so that way that tech is completely open to anybody at that point. Except the person who buys it tonight, obviously. Well, then, 'cause you get a patent, of course, that's the kind of point protection of it, right? You buy, you get the patent for it. Yes, speaking to you, Mike Patent. I thought I was. No, you were not.

Am I now? Yes. Yeah, if you could just turn your speaker up a little bit, Remy. All right, test it. Well. Zoinks. You can help yourself to a drink at the bar or the drink's complimentary, of course, as a full set of drinks that we're selling tonight. And then if you would like, before we start, I can show you the security arrangements. Can we see the heart before we begin? I don't see why not. Perfect. Would either of you like to grab a drink before we are?

These are these two assistants or buyers? Assistants, right? Well, they're welcome to take a drink and I can bring over all of our investors to look at the item before we start. I see. Yes. Good. Cool. Ladies and gentlemen, days and dens, we're going to be viewing the item before the investment

starts in just a few minutes. The gaggle of people behind you quietly line up. Quite a few of them are checking things on their chyrons, but they all look very, very business Y. Sure, people want to get their drinks before going on such a lengthy walk. Everyone else already has drinks except Iona. I'll just grab it. I'll walk over to the bar. Excuse me, bartender. Yeah, yes. May I please have a ginger ale? We have Gisner Ale. I would love a Gisner Ale. You got it.

And they pull a can from underneath, wipe the top with a sanitary towel, throw it away and crack the top. As requested. Can I have that in a glass? You can. She pulls out a glass from out of the bar. It pulls out of a hidden compartment as it washes, and then a hologram covers back over the holes so you'd never know. She sets it down and fills the glass. Do. You want to ask? I would love ice. Thank you and. They clink 3 cubes of ice into your glass. Very good.

Thank you. I I tipped the five eddies that Jeb just donated to me. Excellent. I'm watching. I'm I'm laying back. I'm just waiting for Bendel. So I'm laying back on the got my feet kicked up on the couch just watching on watching the stream on my dial. Should we stay at the bar? I mean, I'm going to let them all go first and then kind of death behind. I got to see what this system is. Otherwise it's not going to be what was the point of me coming in here?

You might as well just send jab. OK, Should I go with you? Sure, Yeah, we're just going to let this Legion of Doom go by first. And have you seen these people? I mean, you've got a straight up 1980s Soviet guy with the monocle Nathan Fillion, several anime protagonotrophy. Do you want to roll to see if you know who these people are? Yeah. Yeah, I. Should probably do that. What are you? Doing. Now do we?

Know who these people are. Everyone roll local experts for Night City. Telling that one on the right doesn't look like a JoJo antagonist. It does. The Wild outfit tomato. The one underneath looks like Tracy. Yes, actually it looks like. What's her name? That actress that everybody says I look like. Reba. Reba, young Reba. Very good. Oh God, that's it. Rears local. The local expert you said it was, Yeah. All right, so Iona, you recognize a few people who live in Knight City.

You recognize Vance Lester, who's the guy directly to your S, He works for Ziggurat. And you recognize the woman next to him, Jezebel Sive, who works for Continental Brands, because you're in a meeting with them once retro. You recognize both of those people from a few sheets as well as Zeal Mastic because his name has been on some sheets for some of the tech that he has brought to Petra Chem and his name has sometimes been on your gas bill. Fucker. Celine Basque is who you recognize.

Vivi. Celine Basque works for Rockland Augmetics. Celine Basque Rockland Well. You know rock. Yep, poof, a lot of big suits here. Retro man. That one over there works for rock. They do like all like you know the. Cyberwear and all that stuff, which, you know, it's pretty. Cool zeal or zeal? That's Zeke. Zeke, Boulder. Oh, I thought it was Zeal. Zeke Boulder. OK. Well, yeah, we should. We should probably just wait for them to, you know, do their little thing and stroll off and

then just. Fall behind where you know, give that professional courtesy. Of course. We probably should have a drink while we get the chance. Yeah. You watch the crowd move off into the hallway as Iona is guided along with the rest of these people by Miss Fruits. And you look at the table, you look at the bar top, and there's actually a menu on a floating hologram screen. And it says they have a few things. They have glow gin.

I have void martinis, giznit ale, real water, dark glaze whiskey, and green glow martinis green glow martini. So the green glow martini and the glow gin will make your mouth glow. Glow gin will make your mouth glow white. Green glow martinis will make your mouth glow green. Void martinis are made out of fake squid ink and are blacker than night. Wow. So it's very thick, viscous, alcoholic fluid, but it's probably delicious because these

people are rich. Yeah. And as a side of food, there's synth caviar and crackers. Oh. This is a fancy place. I feel a little out of my element being so fancy. What do you order as you follow them in? Can I get a dark and stormy? I can only make what's on the list. Fuck, give me give me the glow martini. Green Glow Martini coming up.

They pull a glass out of the bar with a little flourish, whack it on top, shake one out in a pre made cocktail shaker, crack the top like a brand new water bottle and pour your drink in and then add some little flourishes. Uh huh. There you go. Thank you. I'll tip them half of whatever it's supposed to cost. So 10 eddies. Sure. Twenty 80s Damn, that's. A fancy drink that makes your mouth glow for makes your mouth glow if you drink it for an hour so.

Well, I I sip on it. All right, well, your mouth will now glow for an hour. What do you want? I was going to get the same thing. Green glow martini. Green glow Martini and some of those synth. What was it, the synth caviar or whatever? It's caviar. Yeah, a little. Synth caviar. It's a little canopy tray for you. Thank you. It's. Personal canopy tray. It'll attach to your glass with this little hook thing. It's pretty. It's pretty cute. Lovely, I know.

And so your martini glass can like slide into this little entree tray just at the base. It's quite adorable. And there's a little spoon for the caviar and a little slot for about 5 crackers. So you've got like a little sort of adult lunchable, I suppose, attached to your drink. This curve too. A high class Lunchable. Yeah, I mean, what is a security board if not a lunchable for adults? It's more expensive. Wait, do they have make your own pizza security boards?

You say as the crowd moves towards the end of the corridor. Well, now Retro is going to become a millionaire for that idea. And here we have our security system. Says Miss Fruits to Iona and the group of people. The hallway is guarded by guards and we have one guard in front of the vault. He is not allowed to move because if he does, he might activate the system. Absolutely. We are told to stay absolutely still.

Now, the guard at the front of the vault in our current situation is unaware of some of the security measures. He's just been told to stand still, right? I'm going to turn off the system that is a three. And he turns off the system and a bunch of the there's a laser that you can see in front of you and it disappears and you can hear the the guard in the hallway call out. Is it all right now? Can I move not? Just and you hear a laser go off and then gunfire.

Oh. But as you might be aware, our system is incredibly efficient. But we may have one less guard for the night, Madam. Oh well, you're stupid. Wasn't. He incredibly so. OK, well maybe we should up the IQ requirement for these jobs in the future. Absolutely, Madam, but at least it is proof that the inside of this hallway is incredibly deadly. Indeed, that is a very good observation. Also, don't talk to me like this

again. And the guards do their best to shimmy past you as you will run single file into this hallway. And here is our defensive hallway. As you can see, we have turrets on the ground, and this man over here was shot to death by these turrets. So that's interesting. When she goes up to the computer and unlocks the door and it pops open and there in the room you can see the part floating on a little platform.

It's being held a little magnetically floating plinth for you all to see at the end of this corridor. I can't let anybody inside if you wouldn't mind. One of the guards has shimmied his way up to the front to stand beside the door, I guess. I'm I'm going to be starting here now. I know about the lasers, though, so I know the way that they go. So nobody's going to come in. If you wouldn't mind stepping back from the door just a little bit so everyone else can see. Thank you very much.

So when I originally began to step into the room I I made sure to do like a full pan of the room before they told me to step back. Fair enough. Good roll for me. Something to get that information. Well this says I only have two luck. That's sucks. You spent some on the train. I did spend some on the train, and you know what? I'm going to spend the rest right now because I need this information. Yoink. OK, what can I have done? I guess we'll just do perception.

Sure, +2 with your luck. Oh. Thank goodness. And that's why I use luck. Exactly. That's 15 even with your crit fail, which is enough to get a full picture of the inside of the room. But you only manage to get the visual spectrum, not the infrared spectrum. So the image will not have any of the lasers placed in the data whatsoever. So you know the layout of the room, but not necessarily how the defences work. So they may have to work that out themselves.

There are lasers in this hallway, there are lasers in the vault, and we keep everything in there secure, including some other investments for other markets that may happen. But tonight is obviously about the nuclear heart. Is everyone satisfied that it is indeed an object? I am satisfied. Ma'am says that they're satisfied, so they're satisfied. It is the only one in existence being the prototype, and I imagine examining said object would be enough to create a fleet of them, thus improving

said companies. Wow, stock prices and then we will all invest and benefit from it. Oh absolutely, I love that idea. Fuck this. People start making their way back to the main room. The crew seem to door door slightly. Did we see what we needed to see? I say to Rummy and Vivi. Retro Do you do anything before the door shuts? Well, I did a deep scan inside there to see what I could see. I couldn't see much.

I did see one or two interesting things and sent a message to Iona VMI Chiron, but that's about it. Cool. Did you want to roll for any of that information? Sure. 13 You discover with just your tertiary glance with your cameras two of the lasers. So you now know where some of the lasers are with just your tertiary glance. So in my mind, from the glance that I'd taken, create a digital image inside my head and recreate it to have the lasers in where I perceive them to be at. What?

What do you mean that you send a message to Vendel with the pattern of those lasers? I mean, when we were ready to, it was going to. I was just letting you know that I. May have memorized the lasers. In a digital format in my head. All right. So you've saved the position of the lasers as a file. I get it. Cool that you. Could have said I know where they are. I know where. Thelasers.jpg. No, no no, not a jpg, a PNG. Jpegs can for sure lose

distortion, PNGS not so much. VV Do you do anything to the dead body in here? It feels like VV life. Or are you trying not to play the the medical professional in this particular moment? Yeah. Can I like try to examine it? Yeah, yeah. Examine it as you walk by to see if you can learn anything. Yeah, I would like to just examine this, this dead body, see if I get anything from it. Let's see.

I'll defer. 16 Yes, that is high enough to recognize that the bullets in here from these guns are armour piercing. OK. You recognize from the wounds that they can rip right through our mouth so that's they can do damage. We hate armour piercing. We hate armour. Well, not when we have it. Are you all ready to come with Of? Yes. Yes. So you leave the hallway, the lasers reactivate, you head to

the table. I'm sitting at the table, I'm responding to Remy's message and sending out a message to Vendel while, you know, while the security isn't around. And then they'll send you back a message with their perception they rolled much, much earlier, that there's a vent in the bathroom and then they'll comes out of the bathroom towards Jeb. Jeb. There's a vent in in the

bathroom. Jeb is you know how like sometimes when you're laying on the couch and you're watching a stream and you just get tired and so you fall asleep and you're tile rather your phone, I suppose in real life, just like falls on your face and you're that's that's Jeb. Jeb is just literally passed out like the his tile on his face. Just. Jeb, wake the fuck up. Oh shit I missed the last like 30 minutes of the stream. There's no way. There's no way you missed the

last 30 minutes. I was only in there for like 15 anyway. Dude, dude, dude. Yeah, what? There's a vent in the bathroom. There's a vent in the bathroom. There's a vent in the bathroom I just sent. I just sent Iona a message. They can send me anything back. Can they send me anything back? I wonder if they can. You think there's a firewall? What's going on? Are you OK? It's probably the firewall I heard I learned about them retro. No, the GM said. We could talk. I've sent a message.

Oh oh. I. Yeah, well, it's probably because you got through the firewall. I relay the message that Remy sent to me about the the corners of the room glowing with the same glow as the bathroom stalls. It. Does yeah. Anyway, I I basically the message I really is that I think you can get in through the bathroom. Oh, we can get. In Iona thinks we can get in through the bathroom, which is great because I was worried we were going to explore through the tunnel and maybe get hit by

a train. No, yeah, that's dangerous. You you don't want to be walking on train tracks. Yeah, so glad the GM gives us multiple entrances to the things we need. Yeah, otherwise it would be we'd, I feel, shoehorned into doing exactly what he had planned. Right, exactly like like especially with you saying chew, chew, motherfucker. I really expected to have to dodge a train, but now we won't. Hopefully if we can get the vent open. So, Jeb, come on. I'm right behind you and.

Bendel and Jeb make their way into the bathroom. All right, we're here. Yes, we are. Oh fuck, where's the vent? I don't know. Roll perception. You're the one that said you found it. I'd left you roll perception. I don't know where it is. Sure. And and now I rolled an 11 on perception. I've completely forgotten where it is, but you were older 19 clarity. Wait, hold on, hold on. I smell a bit of a draft. It's coming from right, right there. I see it.

Oh, there it is, in this incredibly obvious corner between these two toilets. I should have seen that. Oh, I see. It wasn't a stall, It was just a secret entrance. Yeah. There's no toilet here. OK, All right, so we're going to go in this vent then what? Well, I mean, I suppose it depends on where this event takes us, don't it? It's going to be an event for sure. It is locked though. Well, that's a Gray 1, Van Dale High 5. High five, yeah. Van, Dale and Jeb are best friends now.

Yeah. All right, well, I guess I'll oh, I locked on accident. That's. All me you should unlock it. You should. You should do the thing with your manliness and also because you're in front of me. Right open. Yeah, well, how are you going to do it? Sure. It's a vent. I whip out the the combat shovel, kind of extend it and flip it over to its, you know, full length. And I stick the the the spade end of it into the in between the wall and the vent and just. Roll for it.

Athletics 18. Yes, you unlock the vent. Clatters to the floor. All right. Hopefully you nobody heard that. All right, Jeb, you first. Sure, yeah, I'll get in there. I've been been into worse. Oh, it is a little tight. Just be aware. Oh boy. We're immediately looks like we are immediately given choice between going left or right. Right. Well, if my internal compass is correct, I think we got to go take a ride. OK. So.

Lead the way all. Right, let's keep crawling through here like John Mcclane on Christmas. And like MacGyver. Well, kinda, I guess. And oh, oh, Bend, you quiet, quiet. There in the vent you see a little grate that leads to the whole way. And I see a bunch of anime protagonists and antagonists. You see Miss Fruits from the stream talking to a guard. We can't really make out what they're saying, but they're having a conversation. Can we try? Can Vendel try?

Yes, absolutely, Jeb. Can you read lips? Yeah, she's saying. She's saying she's. Saying 16. Follow me, there's many apples. Get out of the way, I need to see. And then they'll pushes you out of the way to read the lips. What would you say, Bendel? What you say? They said if the power shuts down that the the whole system shuts down for like 5 minutes and locks down the whole thing.

I think, but also that if that happens and they let anyone move anywhere near it, that that that woman will kill that guard. OK, so this seems to be the right way. Nice job Van Deal. Looks like we'll make progress. Making making progress. Wait, what? What's that? What's the floor say down there? Automated defences. Oh, OK. So we're definitely on the right track. Oh wait, Jeb, come back to the vent. Have a look. Yeah. Oh, it's kind of. Do you see that in the hallway?

Oh, it's kind of, it's real tight. Is that is that some sort of gun? Yeah, those are turrets. There are turrets, they're much bigger in person. On the video they did not look that big. Oh yeah, 'cause they're, you know, they're shrunken down to the size of your tile when you look at it. Right, that's gonna be OK. So there's turrets in there. That's bad. I. Suppose I mean, no, I'm, I'm not going down there. Yeah, why would? We. Yeah, exactly. Let's move away from the turrets.

Agreed. All right, let's keep going down this way and we we can find get some more clues. And I mean, I, I at this point, I figure that we're going to wait on the rest of the team to let us know when to drop down and I'll make our move. Exactly. OK, So what? What have you got in front of you? Hold on. Let me just pop open. Quiet, quiet. Pop open. That's great. Is is it? Is the great locked? Yeah, God damn, it's locked. Oh shit. Well, you you could just do the the the thing again.

Oh, oh, gosh, It's going to be real tight. It's going to take my backpack off here. OK. Can you move over to the side a little bit? I need a little bit of. Room. Yeah, yeah, I'm, I'm taking a step back or two. I'm back here. Yeah, and it's, oh, God, it is tight, I tell you. You know, they they don't make these vents for people. They make they make it for air most of the time. OK, I think I got it. Stand back. Go me, Stand back. 17 Absolutely yes, you break open this great.

Oh, oh, oh, wait a minute. And do you step out yes or no? I just want to stick my head out kind of like you stick. Your head out and you see a turret and it detects motion and turns towards you. OK, back up, back up. Back up. Back up, back up, back up. Next time on no latency. Every once in a while I accidentally stumbled into a good play. I'm going to throw a luck in here for Bendel. Did he stutter? Just in case. Oh God damn it. I chalk it up to both of us. So good. Back into the van.

Back into the van. I don't answer the call. I'm not sure it's if it's a stupid question or not Island, so I'm go ahead and just ask. What? I don't have anything to say to these people. What's going? On what could go wrong with a nuclear operated power source is. A spicy. 115,003. 100,000. That was spicy. Just wait till the Tapasco about to get dropped on this bitch. They're really bitten up fast. The lowest bidders. 500,000. There it is. Good. Holy shit they. Were the highest bidders.

It is a disappointment, but look at the opportunity we have here today. Better than what I think's about to happen. Now. Now what? Oh. My gosh. Yep, Yep. No, I I got that. My butt felt that. Yep.
