Episode description

S2E66 - Ted on the Edge

It's time for a business trip. To get into this meeting, the crew need a Reliquary pass. Jeb takes to the wheel and Retro does a drive by. Ioanna takes the crew to floor 62 of a Biotechnica building to disrupt a meeting, check on a assistant and to let Retro, and Vivi smoke on the outside of a skyscraper.

Who's that in the closet?

Will Retro take any opportunity to smoke??

Will Vivi's curiosity get her in trouble?

Only the dice will tell.

Last time on no latency. Quite something we just went through. Oh, hey. This is for Domino. Y'all didn't think that was dangerous. Mission success. Yes, very dangerous. Health and Wellness checkups that we do after every big mission. What? What about that heart-shaped and sized? Power cell, Yes, how convenient. What is a reliqui pass? OK, they said it's going to be at some like undisposed event. Just a matter of choosing the rap plane. We all have our uses.

Iona, how's your casino? How doing? We could go. That might be a fun night off thing to do. So I'm down. Yeah, sure. What are we playing? Blackjack. I knew I should have worn my lucky underwear tonight. It is nice to not have to worry about dying or killing or vending machines or any other kind of appliance. Thank you all. Probably we could do this more often, yeah. For all of your money. Yeah. So the plan is just go in guns blazing or no, don't let that.

That'll definitely be. Obviously the guns blaze. Exactly. No, there are no, no guns. Put your guns away. OK? Oh, OK, We work here. We work here totally. We work. Here. Here. Yes, and so does Vendo. I work, I've got see this is Biotechnica on my jacket. Yeah. Do you all get jackets? Uh. Oh. I mean, I could probably blend in because I'm a doctor. Oh, absolutely. Retro and Jeb. I can blend in. Not so much.

What? Your your your TV head is like the opposite of blending in. Well, I mean, there's that collar you got from that shirt you found last night. What you need is like a a briefcase pair of sunglasses. All right, I'm going to wipe my face and then suddenly I have sunglasses on. Oh, that's cool. Oh, that's cool Retro. I didn't know you could do that. Yeah, and there's a briefcase. Can I do perception? What? Are you looking for? A briefcase. In the car.

You're just going to steal a briefcase? Just. Looking around, I'm going to look out. I'm going to look outside and see if I see a briefcase and then I'm going to steal it. Jeb, roll me a driving check. Amazing. Jeb, you see that there is a a light up ahead and it changes abnormally quickly because you're just not paying attention

and you brake. But you pull forward a little bit further and someone is crossing past the vehicle as he tries to cross the street and he lifts his hand up and there as you look out the window retro. He's holding a briefcase in the window and you snatch it. The light goes green. Oh, my. Hey. Wait, whoa, the speed off? See. Believe it. And the universe provides. Oh, this is a pretty nice briefcase. What's in it? I don't know. It's got some heft to it. Does it have a lock on it?

Yes, Roller Electronic Security tick. Oh, OK. You. You break the lock on this briefcase, you bust it right open, and you'll have to gaffer tape it back together in order for the two halves to connect. But Roller D10. I can't believe it. I got AI, got a fucking crit and then a crit. Fail. There's a spare tie in the briefcase. I'll put that on. 80 Eddies and some paperwork that is truly. Boring. Oh gosh, I'm here. Oh, this is all just tax code on domiciles.

Oh, great. And Jeb, you pull into the parking garage and you guys get out of the vehicle and head into the lobby, all right? So do we want to come up with more definitive covers or matches? Yeah, but working for Biotechnical. I would say it's probably easiest if we just go, if we stay under the radar. All right. Yeah, just walk in with confidence.

Yeah, love it. You walk into the lobby of this place and there is a person sitting behind a desk and there's a small sign lit up that just animates the words. Please check in. I will check in Iona +2 Vendel plus one. Hello. Oh, hello. Hello, have you just boop your ID right there? I have some investors I'm giving a tour of the facility today and we we all need to get reliquary passes for our event tonight. Oh, OK at shore. So boop boop I boop. Yeah, how many guests each pass?

My my pass of me +2 and then vendale here plus one. OK, yeah, that's fine as long as you just put their names in. The little data Paddy thing there. I don't really know what goes on here. I just check people in, so not being funny, but everything you just said to me was, you know, poppycock. The elevators are over there. There's A&B. They do the same thing, They're just labeled in it anyway. That's great. I love that joke. Wonderful. Yeah, I was joke. Why not? I like your outfit.

Thank you. Appreciate it. It's my power suit. VV You have like a few eddies sticking out of your coat pocket. Oh, Rich. Look at you. Yeah, you know, just just got a got a little a little fun last night at the casino. Oh, I love a good gamble. That's fun. Did you win? Did you do go out? Did. Was it good? Well. You know, you win some, you lose some. Oh, that's nice. You know, you lot are the nicest, but most people just go out, just kind of barely look at

me and just tap the thing. You guys are lovely. Oh, it's nice to have some nice people. Oh, well, thank you very much. I like to stay grounded. So I appreciate your candor. Yeah, no, you're nice. Oh, look at cowboy. Oh, I feel like I've seen you somewhere. Oh, you know, probably here and there. Where I know you're from? No. I rolled on one. I really can't remember Well, I mean, you know, you've got a nice hat and it looks like stuff's undamaged. Isn't that lovely? For now.

Well the elevators are over there. Push the button. You know A will be up to you whatever. And then and and have a lovely day. I don't say that to anybody. So thank you. Well. Thank you kindly. You have been. You have been a delight. Yes, you're you're very welcome. You too. Bye, bye. You head up to the elevator. Which elevator do you want to take? A or BA? And. Then you step up to the a elevator and gesture everybody inside. Yeah, I did all right last night.

What about you, Vivi? Well, I I ended up losing money. Oh, oh. Yeah, I I thought I had something going, but apparently not. Oh, but well, OK well then. And next drinks on me, yeah. That would be nice. Maybe I should have less drinks the next time I go. I'm actually feeling, honestly, I am feeling a little hungover today. So like. Yeah, we did get free drinks. There's. Probably that migraine drink I got for you. Oh, great, The Migraine drinks.

Love those. Yeah, you know, because it's it's 151 and then the splitting because that's the headache. And then you put a little bit of like a what is it like another fifth of vodka and make it a splitting headache. But then to make it a migraine, you just put a little bit of that energy drink in there. Boom. I think retro might have a drinking problem. I think retro just has a problem. I think it's called a solution. Alcohol is a solution. Yes. Is that medically true, Vivi?

Maybe. And the door to the elevator opens, and you arrive at floor 62. As you step out of the elevator, there are two guards standing in front of a large glass window. As you look out through the window, you can see the vast buildings of Night City shaded in a hazy hue of red. And there are these two guards standing there. If anybody wants to rob

perception, do so now. Retro, you noticed that this floor is essentially a very long corridor as you look down it towards the east side of the building. On your left is the B elevator, a bunch of cubicles and then

some offices. To your immediate right as you look down the corridor are the bathrooms and then a closet looking room to the left of that door Iona and Vivi, though you turn your heads to these two guards in this room and because you're old, over 17, you notice that they're kind of staring into midspace, putting their hands out and sort of tapping their fingers as they look around. They've got that implant. They're a little distracted.

We're just going to go we're. Going to go, I think that's a good idea. Where? Where should we go first? I've not been to this building, so I actually don't know the layout very well. I'm just going to walk. Oh, there's a person in there. There's a. Cuticles. There's more people, cuticles. This is a nice place. Look at this place. Wow, I'm just. Going to keep walking down. Fresh pee. Is that you? I mean, Hi. Hi. Oh my gosh. Fresh pee. Oh, fresh pee.

I haven't seen you in a bit. How you go? How are you all doing? This is welcome. It's my cubicle. Oh wow, they left. My office 7 buildings away from where my boss works. That's OK. It's not like I see you very often. Wow. So. This is your cubicle. Yeah, it's nice. I've got a window. Wow. I don't have a door, but I've got a window. What are you guys doing here? We're looking to get reliqui passes. You do, yeah. Why do you say that?

Like that's a simple and easy thing to do that doesn't. Require a sea of paperwork and authorization. Competence. Don't. That's like, very secret. Oh, I say it like that because I expect that I will be able to get it quite easily. Oh, oh, yes. Oh, right. Yeah. Van Dale, our boss, is always really confident. Yes, because they're amazing. Right. Thank you. That's. What? Amen. I was interesting. Decor choices. What is it? Hard What? Getting a reliqui.

Boss, I mean you need you need authorization or like. I mean I I could hack something but it it might get flagged later. One of the executives on this floor uses the machine. And then you have to book someone to and you and you need a medic. We have a medic. We have you. Uh, huh. I'm an exec. Right. Jeb's being nice. Right, I'm. I'm here for support.

So if you're going to get the every, there are a lot of people in the higher ups who will know that you have the pass unless I do some on the on the web net hack saying. Could you? Yeah, you have to get it first and then I can hide it because I can't hide something that's not. There, because that's like, dumb. GM. Yes. Sorry, yes. Yes. Am I not understanding what a reliqui pass is? Could you explain it one more time? I didn't explain it to you, you didn't ask.

That's because I assume I could just get one. Right. Yep, I could get one for everybody. We pass this for everyone. Here we go. Everyone gets a reliqui pass. Oh man, this is so easy. Well, it's got all our biometric data on it. It. I mean whoever gets 1, yes. But we all have to get one to get into the thing, right? Most Biotechnica buildings allow two guests per pass. Oh, I didn't need to bring the whole crew with me. But we're here for support.

Most corporate activities take a little bit of time and paperwork. No, it should be quick and easy, right? Fresh B should be quick and easy. It's. I mean, it is a fairly extensive process. Also, the room that the machine is in for this process is currently booked for a meeting. How long is the meeting? Well, it it, it's, it's a meeting. It's, I hear they're deciding what our bonus break is going to be, you know, the holiday weekend, right. And historically, that takes a while.

Well, which holiday are you wanting to have off? Oh no, it's the third quarter, so the stocks are up. It's like a bonus period where everyone gets a thing and I'm just, I'm just really hoping it's not vending machine tokers Again. I'd like I'd like to go on a trip like everyone else got to do. Oh, it's just a stocks are up day. Once every quarter. So if as long as stocks are up every quarter, then everybody gets a bonus. Oh yeah, you you missed that on the trip last.

Time as part of the the employment in here at Biotechnica. You got the 10 vending machine tokens, didn't you? Yes, but I did. You look and and shakes the head. Yes. You you got, you got that that that skydiving trip. I was going to be honest. I I I am fresh piece of boss. Yes, Are we telling him? Yes, I'm checking Fresh Pee's money right now. Just see if fresh pee can afford to go on the rim. I. I, the player, am looking at his sheet. Jeez Louise, I have not paid

this man. I mean, you could you could just be, like, going through his account, state mayor. Oh, let me just I'm your boss, so I have access to your bank account. Let me just take a look. Can I pay this man for the love of all that is holy? If you could. Finally, file paperwork to get him paid and have to pay a centage of it, yes. Oh yeah, I would like. You know what that would? Need jade, jade. What? What? Actually.

But if that's what you want, Iona, you know what you have to do. Viper work. I mean, sort of Jeb. My, my job. They have to roll for bureaucracy. Oh, it's. Been. A while the gamification of paperwork. That's not true. I rolled for bureaucracy last. Session. Shit. All the time. It feels like it's been a while. It's been a while since I had to pay any paperwork now.

Bureaucracy. 20 Yes, you managed to pay a full 1000 Eddies to this person and only have to give up 20% of your of that, so you're gonna have to pay him 200 out of your pocket. Yeah, I'm. I'm also just gonna hand him some cash. Is this are you just giving me money? Yes, So what I what I'm going to do, paid what is out of my out of my own pocket, out of my own pocket. I'm going to give him 1000 Eddies. Oh my God. Oh, and then the 200 for the other thousand that he is owed.

So I pay 1200, he gets 2000. Hell. Yeah, nice. That's really good. It takes to his computer taps away. It just rolled in eight. Yeah, 21. It makes 100. Eddies in the spot. Yeah, I'm going to do it again. Oh, probably. I shouldn't gamble at work. Don't gamble at work. I did. Just change your money in your account to 2600. Money. Yay. All right. Well, I mean, look, the corner office where they do the reliquary thing, There's a there's a there's a few other

offices. HR is the big office in the middle. And then we've got two places where they do a bunch of paperwork. The bathroom's nice here, actually, and there's a there's a closet somewhere. I recognize the janitor, I just can't place in. All right. So here's the other thing. Do you think that I could just walk into this meeting and push them along their way so we could

have the room, do you think? Well, I mean, it kind of feels like this is a like a a a role play, skill check, kind of bit of the adventure, so yeah. So, yeah, probably. All right, so one. Does not simply walk into this meeting is what you're telling us. I mean the door's locked, so. Not for long. We have a skeleton key and I wink it retro. I'm just kidding. I'm kidding. I'm. That's a joke. I was joking. No, Put your gun away. There are guards here. You said that we were.

Supposed to All right. Retro roll Stealth. Oh. You said the thing, yeah. That is. Funny looking for an RPG podcast that isn't just D&D roll to. Cast is the answer. No, wait, sorry, what games? Have we played so far? Well, we've done Cyberpunk 2020 oh. Catholo. Vampire The Masquerade. The Witcher. Kids on bikes. Avatar Legends. And cyberpunk. Reds roll to cast ROLE. A new game every. Season Original music. Original. Stories. Interviews with the creators.

And a life for Aussie accents. Listen to us on all good podcast you. Can support us on Patreon For bonus, that's roll to cast R. Ole. Come discover a new world. I can't help but get a little excited. I was joking. I never know you to joke. We're in trouble. Oh God, we're in trouble. I can't even find stop. It's for the best, I think it's under technique. Yes, 16 passes. Because for whatever reason, the guards on this floor have a -, 4 to their perception.

You watch them tapping away in the air. Can I roll? Yeah, no, I'm gonna put it away. What do you like to roll? A perception, but not necessarily perception itself. Can I? I'd like to roll. Let me see here. Where is that? I'd like to use local experts to see if my own experience of being high and seeing if they are high. They are not high. You have rolled high enough to know that they are not drunk, they're just using a chiron of some description, like you saw

Ping using the bar. Oh, OK. That's. Why? They keep moving around, I know. Why am I behind on these tech advances? I should be on the front line on this. Now I want one even though I don't need it. I want it. So what are? We going to do about this meeting? We're I'm going to walk in. Are you going to just interrupt it? Tell them to leave? Act more important. Yeah, I'm going to join the meeting I think and just pushed push them along, OK, I think. Does do you want anyone to go

with you? Then tell You should probably go with me. OK. And while we do that you guys with fresh here, hi, you guys should do something that helps us as well, right? Fresh What can they be doing? Well, I mean, you know the, the, the we've got a lot of people on the floor. There's like all the offices and stuff. There's a lot here to see you. Can just look around. Yeah, sure, we can just. Take a look around. Take a look around, I guess I mean. Might get in trouble, could we get?

Like a tour guide or something? Or. Fresh Why don't you show them around? Oh yeah. Yeah, yeah, I can give you a tool. We promise VV won't touch anything all. Right. Well, I'm just going to. He locks his computer. All right, I'll. You lock. Come with me and I'll see you later. That's. Good bye. And Bendel and Iona head over to the corner office and the other three of you follow Fresh P back to the West side. Who should we go with first? Let me just bust in this fucking meeting. Do it.

Bust in this fucking meeting. You walk up to the door and there's a little keypad next to the door and it says executive access only. Boop boop. Door opens You are a level 5 exec. So I walk into the room. And who do I see? With that is, we'll have to load more insurance on the trip. I mean, that's a lot more people, is the. Issue, I mean I look, I understand, I understand that like a ski trip is a little you know more, more small, smaller

number of people can go on that. But I mean if we, if we just eliminate like all of the assistants, all the lower employees and just do higher up execs, you know, like us and up, we could all just go skiing and then we'll give the guys like 10 vending machine tokens again, it'll be easy. Yeah. No, no, I know. What I'm I know what you're saying. No, I hear that. I hear you. I hear you completely. But we did not get good feedback on the internal like feedback check in with employee system

with that action last time. So I I'm, I'm, I'm thinking the airship, so everyone can have a party, you know? And the third person is saying nothing. What is our allotted budget for this quarter? Oh, it's approximately one person's salary per trip. You know, like 110, maybe 85. Well, I agree. An airship party. Sorry, sorry. Who the fuck are you? I'm sorry. Who the fuck are you? Oh God. I'm Rocco Lance, and you are. Interesting, Rocco. I'm. I'm Biotechnica's Iona Popescu.

I take care of projects. Oh, OK. And if you joined the the bonus committee? Or. I'm here because there have been so many complaints from the wonderful people who work on our projects. See, Biotechnica sent me here because the committee isn't doing its job. I mean we we've only been having the meeting for two hours. You know, we we have the room booked. And it seems like you could have a a better use of your time. We are salaried workers. They're not paying us by the

hour. There's so much more you could be doing than sitting here flapping about a ski trip. You know, I really think this Popescu you said. Popescu. Right. I really, I really think that they've got like the right angle and like a really great suit. Well done. I love the olive. Thank you. You're welcome. But honestly, you know the the big thing is you know, you're you're you're also not saying

anything. And there's a person on the other side of the room who's working on a computer next to a pod like device. Huh. No, no, I'm just. I'm just doing. I'm just doing maintenance on this. I mean, I guess we, I mean, I love skiing, but then, you know, morale's really important and it's down since the explosion. What explosion? The the oil rig explosion. Oh, do you even work here? Did that happen? Yes it did. Yeah, no, it happened yesterday. I think it was. Oh oh shit.

OK, well. Yeah, our project working on the thermal vent, we did lose a a pretty good number of lives in that accident, which is not good for morale and also not good for the company. No. So do you think do you think this will affect our budget or? Well, if anything it'll increase the budget per person, but. See we can. We can. Afford to do. The blimp? Then we could save money and have a ski trip in the winter. I love that. Save the money now. Use it for when we really want it.

I don't know. You know, it's one of those things where just I just think you're going to have to roll. One moment, Linda, could you, could you? You'll have to roll Persuasion. Great. I will Vandal. Could you also check the weather for the slopes? Yes. Check how the slopes are going to be. How's the powder? I'll check the powder. Meanwhile. Yeah. So this is HR over here. Nobody likes them. Further down here are the elevators. And then over here are the bathrooms.

That's that's the bathrooms there. They're very clean. And then? No. No, no, that's an elevator, mate. It's the other way, Yeah, yeah, yeah. In the corner on the on the left. No, that's a vending machine. That door there on the right is the closet. Retro moves into that room, leaving Fresh pea behind, and walks into this janitor's closet. And as he walks in, sitting on the sofa is. Ted Oh, hello. You're right. Yeah, I was coming by to see this.

Wait, is this a break area or is this a closet? I thought this was a closet. No, no. This is a janitor's closet. Oh well, this is a pretty spacious closet. I know you. Yeah, I mean, was it, I'm sure we've been passing, Yeah. No, no. You. You, I I I used to work in IT and I lost my job. I I applied for an assistant position and they they didn't give it to me. So I'm now. Yeah. So now I clean fucking toilets. Well, shit, yeah. I only got 8 vending machine tokens. So only eight.

Damn. No, no, everyone else got 10. Just kind of shit. So I was like, fuck you I'll, I'll, I'll jump out the vent in the bathroom and smoke on the fucking lip of the building like a fucking spider. Damn straight. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, on your break, I'm sure right, your mandated break. Yeah, yeah. Sometimes they sneak out there, you know, rather than going down. You know, I'm. Always on that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Where do you what is it like you sneak out from here?

Yeah, yeah, just vent to the bathroom. You just climb out and you might die. But lovely smoke. Oh, I mean, I'm always down for a lovely smoke, Right, You got to smoke. The bears shit in the woods. Not anymore. They're all dead. But they would, you know so. Not like smoke. So. So have you like, have you heard much from like Iona, as have they? Have they mentioned me lately? Who? The the the biotechnical or is that I you I I you when you do the hair dryer and the the

whole. Thing I helped out. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I used to. I lost my job. Yeah. Oh yeah, on that. So here's the thing. I was a independent contractor hired by Iota. Right. And so I've done some work for them from time to time, but they don't. I'm not, unfortunately, like in their cool. Yeah, I'm not in their cool, but unfortunately. Just just do, you know, Do you know if they're like out and about doing doing stuff like,

you know? I'm, I'm, I'm just going to have a seat next to you right there, Bill, Right. Ted. Right, Theodore. So Theodore, here's the thing. As far as I know, for them being out and about, they have actually been working very closely among the buildings, some top secret project. I mean, having to get like a bunch of like side stuff for

them, right? And they were talking about needing to get something except for IT, but they were needing to find the right person for it. So I'm going to have to think about that because they were wanting me to talk with somebody you. You can't just walk around. Oh, yeah, by all means. Yeah, I guess I get. I can't really tell you guys where to go. You're way more. Do way more people meet VV. By all means walk in. What's going on here, Retro? If you'd like to rob reception. Please do.

Well, I was this is chatting here with my man Theodore here. Hello. Hello. I'm Ted. Ted. Yes, I used to work in IT and now I clean up shit. Wow, that's quite the change. Yeah, you know, I applied for a job and because I applied for a different job with my old job went away and then this is the only job that I could use to to do to keep my health insurance. And so now I I break. I I do that like a malicious compliance thing where I break a bunch of rules that don't really fucking matter.

It's like, super cool. Yeah. While you're listening to this Babble, you look around the room and to the South of the room between 2 lockers. There is a little grate on the wall. It's about 6 feet high up and about 2 1/2 feet wide and about two feet tall, so enough for a single person to to sneak through if they wanted to. So you said that there was a hole or there was a there's. A vent. It's a vent. Kind of shaped vent it's. Like a single? And it's in the in between 2

lockers in this room. I see. So, Ted, you got that smoke we were talking about? I'm gonna put my arm around. Ted, you got that smoke? We're talking about having a smoke. Yes, yes. No, I've got, I've got a little, I've got a little Rolly right here. But I mean, I can't smoke it in here because they don't like it when the the uniforms smell. Right. But didn't we just say we're all about?

Yeah, but I see religious complaints is about them not nosing, so that's why I claim out onto the outside. Wait a minute, I got a notice. Well. I mean, claiming on the outside's actually quite exhilarating. I was trying to invite you outside if you want to call them. I was going for it, yeah, but you need to like show me the way. I would love to join. You guys want to come outside? Yeah. Yeah, all right. I can definitely use some fresh air and a little bit of smoke. All right.

Well, follow me to the bathroom. Oh, hi, fresh all. Right. How's it going, Ted? No, I'm great. Jeb, have you seen this vending machine? And Jeb and fresh pee. Go and look at a vending machine in the Genesis room and you will head towards the bathroom where Ted guides you through the room and into a little space between the cubicles where he points towards a grate on the wall. Jeb.

Yeah. You look at a vending machine with a fresh pea, and then you follow the others into the bathroom and you look out over Ted to a little grate in the wall that you can sneak out onto this ledge on the outside of the building. All right, now you're coming in. Now you're coming in. Clutchier, janitor man. Who are you? You wouldn't buy it. You wouldn't buy Any chance have some sort of, like All Access? Yes, there's some. Oh, well, I know someone who's going to like that. Retro.

Yeah, that's what I want there to do. We go and smoke on the outside of the. Building sorry you guys left and I got left behind. I'm just finding you now and. I'm I'm with you. Fresh P has completely lost you and he's now looking for you in the rest of the building. But you see this opening on the outside of the building and Retro. Do you want to roll perception to just look outside and see what's going on? We're. Going to do this. Let's do this now.

I'm just going to brave it. Let's go. OK and to the wild all. Right. You step out onto this ledge outside and it's it's you could see the haze and feel the wind rush past you. Are you all stepping out onto this ledge? If there's room, yeah. There is, yeah. It's kind of single. File. You can cross each other without too much work. Crossing Ted would be difficult because you're not as familiar with him physically, so you'd have to offer that.

But crossing each other is free. But if we work. With each other. If you are intimately comfortable with his body, then we could. No, Yeah, no, it's sorry. Fuck, I forgot. It's loud because of the traffic and city and we're in wind so we have to like talk. There's a lot of wind out here.

That's all right. I've got this little device that holds to the end of the joint in a box so we can smoke it and just be careful because you can just walk right around the outside of this building, so try not to get seen through the windows of the people in the offices. Oh, I don't need to do that for we're smoking this joint. Right. Retro and Ted are now smoking this joint, and Jeb and VV, you're standing next to them. Do you partake or do you do something else?

I'm just going to go ahead and take a seat on the balcony and take a look at this lovely city that we live here. It is pleasurable, I. Will have a cigarette on the balcony. So I go in my own, ironically, go in my medical bag and pull out a pack of cigarettes and light one up. I'm going to kind of like take a little peek around and just like, so what's? Oh damn, you got a pack of assistance. Those are awesome. Yeah, you want one? Oh no, you you got your own thing going.

On I'll I'll double fist all day. Yeah, you know, why not Where? I'm off hours at Biotechnica. Here you go. Thank you. Oh, you had the lime ones. These are awesome. So. Ted does this like whole balcony, like stretch around the whole building? I mean, you know, it's not technically a balcony. It's just like a bit of masonry that extends underneath these windows that are all around this floor. There's one every few floors that just happens to be

underneath the windows. Isn't it a great place to smoke? He says the ashes. Oh yeah. Pretty cool, right? Yeah, just don't look down. Oh, I'm not scared of heights. Well, that's good because we're pretty high up. Yep. Yeah. Thank God. This is the three floors. Thank God this is the only exit out of here. Is right behind me. Nope, no. There are a few vents as you walk along. You just have to look for him, you know? What? There's more vents? Why would you have to have more

fence around there? You only need one. It's only for the bathroom. No, no, there's there's a vent for a few of the rooms. It's so that we can evacuate any noxious fumes when we need to. Wait, wait. You have it for other rooms? What? We need them for other rooms for like, what? What other rooms need a vent? To to evacuate stuff. Yeah, but what rooms? What rooms would need that every

one of them has a vent? The only reason I know how to get out of here is because I have to clean the backside of the fucking windows. So there's a vent. A few of these. Not everyone, but you know. So you have to go through another event to. Scare the shit out of the people when you see them in their office and you're just like, you know, go watching the cleaning the windows. I never thought about it that way. All right. Damn. No.

No, it's pretty good, you know. Vivi, are you having a sneaky look further along? Yeah, I think I may kind of look down. At least a little bit. Yeah, Where was the meeting room? It's further east. OK, so you're now going to cross a window. Every time you cross a window, roll a stealth check. Oh, I see. OK, so I I walk down and I'm going to see if I can. Roll. Fuck. So here's the thing. You rolled in 11 and so two things happen. One the DV for this, For this

window. He's actually 9 because as you step in front of the window not expecting anyone to be in this office, you see a woman in a very, very tight blonde Bob sitting in a desk and frantically working at their computer. In that moment, you get so shocked that your cigarette drops out of your hand and flies off into the wind and you lose it. Shit. My cigarette. Oh, shit. Oh, sorry. For damage of two HP damage. Oh, fuck. Right in the. Eye. Was that Ted? Sorry, sorry.

Damn. Because before she sees. You. I'll get in. Trouble I. Zoop I zoop. Pass pass that window. My microphone just fell. As you get close to the next window, you see a grate to your left. Ah, so this is another way to get in perhaps? You suspect that if you walked through your gate that that. Woman would see you. Yeah, I'm going to walk past that and then past the next window. All right, you don't have to roll the Stealth check on this window, because there's nobody

in that room. OK, I'm going to just keep going. Don't mind me. I'm just checking out the the scenery. I keep. I keep going. Roll a stealth check. Oh boy. I'm going to add 2 lock points to this one. So 14. Yeah, that's enough. The person is actually facing away from you in this next office. You peer in and you see it's fairly generic. There are a bunch of filing cabinets and a few potted plants and a desk and a computer. There's somebody tapping away in that office.

You pass by the 2nd office that isn't HR. You pass by another room, there's no one in there, and you keep moving along this area. As you snuck by those two middle offices in the building, you spy 2 grates to the left hand side that would gain access to those rooms and then you step to this final window and you can see it glaring the red light. The city and reflecting some of the buildings in the distance. Roller Steel? Check. I'm going to add 1 lock to this. Sure.

OK, 20. 20 Very good, yes. As you peek around the corner, you can see into this conference room and there at the other side is Iona and Vendel talking to a room with three people in it and Iona and Vivi lock eyes. You see Phoebe through the window, just with a big grin, and and she gives you a thumbs up. Fiona, Iona, Iona. We're ignoring it. We're ignoring it. We're ignoring it. Why is Phoebe outside the building? I don't know, OK? I'm busy persuading people right now.

I kind of and so like I peer in and Iona probably sees me, but then I kind of peer back. So I'm like in between like the window and the wall. You. Rolled to the window, to the wall? To the Do. You rolled high enough in stealth that you could make it across this window to the other side if you wanted to. OK, so I'm going to just do do, do, do all the way to the other side. So I'm just kind of like watching, but I'm not like fully

in view in the window. I'm kind of like in the corner, glancing in. And you find two more grates on the corner of this building which give you, which would give you access to this room. It's full of people, so you decide not to go through. We're persuading right now with with, yeah, that's definitely the blimp. Airship thing, right? That was the thing, yeah. Lance asked me to do a persuading role, so here I am and I will dump to luck into it. Well, I'm glad I did. 17.

I mean, yeah. I mean, I guess, no, you've got a point. Yeah, No, we can do it in the winter, especially like how much snow was there? Fuck all. Fuck. Fuck it's. Spring. So it's it would be more expensive. We'd have to get the snow imported, so zero on the thing. So that is a really good point. Exactly. So Blimp Party everyone's invited. No, no, I guess it's the blimp party. Well, that persuasion role was enough for me. Do you want to be difficult or do you just wanted them to to

have it? No, it's fine. We'll do as long as long as we get to go in winter. I just we. Will go in winter. I just don't want my fucking assistant there. It's it's that look, can I be transparent? He's kind of a penis. I'm stuck with him. He's no, he's he's he's Betty's son. Fuck. Anyway, cool. Well, fuck it. Meeting adjourned. Oh, fuck. Food and what? Fake pigs in blanket and some boost? Yeah. No, that sounds great. Perfect. Yeah. And champagne because. Oh yeah, no.

Can we smash it on the side? These two execs walk out of the room, chatting about their plans to what they're going to do on the blimp, completely leaving you behind. But left in this room is the person working on the computer. I think that's. It and what? What are you doing? Oh God. Fuck. Sorry, I'm. I'm. I know you've got the room. I I interrupted them as well. I'm I'm going to go. Sorry. No. Who? Who are you? I I don't think I've seen your face before.

I'm, I'm Sky. I'm, I'm one of the. I'm one of the medical technicians. I'm not a nurse or a doctor. I just work on medical equipment. That's all I do. How long have you been here? I know 6-7 years I'm I'm part of a project I can't say out loud. That's wonderful. That's what I do. Oh, good. Yes, corporations, right? Well, sky. Yes. I do need a medical tech at this very moment. If you wouldn't mind with what? I assume this is what you're working on this machine I I.

I can neither confirm nor deny. The Seymar response. Delightful. Well, I can't really disclose why I need the pass, You know, projects. But I do. Row persuasion. And you're here. Row persuasion. Let's fucking fuck it. Let's dump somewhere. Fucking lock into it, baby. Let's go. Let's get this. Let's go. We're going to put another two lock into it 21. 21 so you know. That mm hmm. I do. At the Reliquary Pass. Awesome. Great. So you've you've you've brought

a nurse. I have actually Vendel. Could you let them in wait? Can. They see me. Next time on no latency. Vendel, could you, could you let them in please? Hey, Vandal. Clearly, Iona wants to be awake for this whole ordeal. Could you give me the thing to make me not feel things? Why do you have to curse him like this? Why wouldn't you do it while I was passed out? This way look at me. I I think someone's given blood. You smell that? Can I sit down? I was worried about this.

I swear I could just smell the hint of Iona's blood boiling. Boom. Nailed it. We can only make one relic. We pass a day, correct? What the fuck? How do you audit the building? Is the IRS coming in? What the fuck's going on? Audited. Fresh Listen to me guys. Can you help you? You should come with us, Ted. Yeah, see, that makes more sense. Hey, Sloan girl, you one of a useful game Hard up here. We really can't smell much. Yeah. I'm so sorry. I don't have it storing.
