Episode description

On this episode, we tackle a big and timely topic in sports. The subject of equality. Throughout the history of sports, questions of fairness, an equal playing field and opportunities for athletes -- regardless of race, gender and age -- have existed. Movements have taken place and change has happened, but we’re still seeing roadblocks in the way of progress. So we’re diving into the heart of the issue and how to bring about change. For Gil, he sees where the future of sports is headed and what stands in the way of fairness. From the rules in place, to those who fear change, we need to examine the collective frame of mind around progress, what’s fair and the best course of action. We have examples throughout sports history...both the good and the bad...to learn from. As for the future, we want the best athletes to compete, succeed and push the game forward.
