One of the most common, if not the most common commands of Scripture is, “Do not be afraid!” This is not a suggestion or a comment, but a command. 2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” On the cross, Jesus wins over fear and offers us to join Him in victory.
