感染症法は、感染の広がりの強さや、かかったときの重症度などで、感染症を1～5類に分けています。エボラ出血熱などの1類、結核などの2類は就業制限や入院勧告といった厳しい感染対策がとられます。一方、季節性インフルエンザなどの5類は学校の出席停止はありますが、感染対策は個人の判断です。
