Caseworker’s Diary: Ep 1 Anekon Kamron Ka Samjhauta

Caseworker's Diary is a series of audio stories, which emerged from the lived experiences of caseworkers in Uttar Pradesh, who work with situations of murder, rape, abduction, child sexual abuse, dowry deaths and domestic violence.

This series is a part of The Third Eye’s The Caseworker’s Dictionary of Violence which introduces a vocabulary around gender-based violence (GBV) that emerges from the grassroots, from those at the frontlines, within a deeply Indian context.

कोई हमें थोड़ा प्यार करे, हमारी इज़्ज़त करे, हमें सम्मान दे- इसके लिए हम क्या-क्या जतन करते हैं, कितने तरह के समझौते करते हैं, है न! केसवर्कर्स डायरी के इस एपिसोड में उत्तर-प्रदेश के बुंदेलखंड की एक केसवर्कर हमें अपने जीवन के उन तमाम कमरों के बारे में बताती है जहां कभी उसने अपना बचपन जिया तो कभी खुद से उसे बनाया-संवारा. पर, इनमें से कोई भी कमरा उसका नहीं है. क्यों? वो सवाल करती है कि आखिर उसका कमरा है कौन सा?

केसवर्कर्स डायरी, एक ऑडियो शृंखला है जो जेंडर आधारित हिंसा से जुड़े मामलों पर काम करने वाली 12 केसवर्करों के अनुभवों से निकलकर आई है. उत्तर-प्रदेश के ललितपुर, बांदा और लखनऊ ज़िले में काम करने वाली ये सभी केसवर्कर हत्या, बलात्कार, अपहरण, बच्चों के यौन शोषण, दहेज हत्या और घरेलू हिंसा जैसे मुद्दों पर काम करती हैं.

यह ऑडियो शृंखला ‘केसवर्कर्स द्वारा हिंसा की शब्दावली’ का एक हिस्सा है जिसमें जेंडर आधारित हिंसा से जुड़े उन महत्त्वपूर्ण शब्दों को शामिल किया गया है, जिनकी मदद से ज्ञान और समझ का निर्माण होता है.
